I got there a little late, so the selection was picked over. But I got 2 regular glazed which were $0.98 each. I will say they were very good. Almost Krispy Kreme, but with slightly more heft. They had a delicious vanilla taste. read more

A solid local spot donuts. Nothing fancy here. The donuts are fresh and the oil doesn't taste/smell rancid, that's all I expect from a donut shop! Also, their chocolate glaze is very good and I enjoy the ones with roasted peanuts on top. read more

They used to have Amazing Buttermilk donuts. But, they changed the recipe to allow them to fit more on a tray...and now they're just average, at best. Less area on the top for cinnamon and glaze. Overall disappointing now. read more

I have been going to Donut Palace for over 20 years...pretty much my entire life. They moved locations (from Sandy Lake to MacArthur) sometime after I moved to San Francisco but just about everything about this place has stayed the same. And why change something that is so good? You go to the Donut Palace and you know what to expect each and every time you go there. There donuts are still made the same way and still taste just as great even after years and years of donut making. Of course employees have changed too so it's good to see that they've been able to retain their grasp on excellent donut-making. The sausage roll was introduced some 15 years ago at this place and I think it's great. I usually order this in conjunction with the blueberry donut, one glazed, and some chocolate milk. Sure that sounds like a ridiculous combo but when you only get to visit this place a few times a year like I do, you want to make sure you get the things that are best about this place. Reliable donuts are what Donut Palace is all about. I don't need a flashy donut shop or a drive-through. Nor do I need to see the conveyor built they come off of (although that is kind of cool about the big donut chain KK...gimmicky though). I just need assurance that they've got the donut I want and that it's fresh. read more

BEST DONUTS EVER! I have gone to the Donut Palace since I was a kid and I have never found another donut place that even compares! They offer a variety of options of donuts. The pigs-in-a-blanket are AMAZING! It is always super cheap. I don't go that often, but every time I do I'm always surprised it costs less than $3-4 for a big donut, 2 pigs-in-a-blanket and donut holes. Both locations are good. The Macarthur one is less crowded. The Sandy Lake location is always busy especially Sundays (they run out by 11:15am) read more

A decent place for your morning sugar rush. Nothing real special. I know the measure of a great place really comes down to the food but c'mon, could you have a more drab and dreary interior? Not real important but it lacked the charm some of the family run joints have around here. Most donuts were standard, but the blueberry cake donut was above average. The sausage roll was also pretty decent but nothing spectacular. Honestly, I would like to know if anyone makes sausage rolls WITHOUT the lil' smokies with cheese. Maybe with some really good sausage? It gets pretty boring when they taste the same everywhere I go. They make a kind of pattie sausage roll thing, but it was not good and had the same rubbery sausage consistency of a McDonald's sausage McMuffin. Pros: Its pretty dang cheap. I still contend that Donut City is one of the best in the area, although its a little more out of the way for me. read more
