Our family noticed pretty quickly that the quality had changed and found the original owners over at MacArthur and Belt Line. We also weren't the only ones to notice, news had spread on FB about the difference. Needless to say..we are driving a bit further for the superior option. Check the latest reviews because there didn't seem to be any as of late to rave about things like there has in the past. Ownership changed over the last year. It's just not the same.

It was soft and warm (next time I'll put it in the toaster oven) and quickly disappeared once my kids discovered them. And while Shin's has plenty of donut types, I only need a glazed donut. Shin's glazed donut is soft, airy, and never dries out. It's perfect when I dunk it in black coffee. Bonus - the staff always gives me a bag of donut holes to go. 2 Stars. Will I Return? - Yes. While it took me 11 years to update my review. I've probably been back to Shin's over a dozen times. The employees are so kind and ALWAYS throw in extra donuts. They truly want you to enjoy your food and get enough. We typically use the drive-thru being on the go! First, we were told we weren't allowed to sit at the bench to eat, only for them to reluctantly backtrack and say it was "okay just this once." To make matters worse, the food was a massive disappointment. One of the 3 kolaches and the cream cheese danish were completely stale and tasted several days old--hard as a rock with an off-smell. We will absolutely never be back. There are plenty of other local donut shops nearby that actually deserve our support. Save your money and go elsewhere.
