Do not go here or choose this program! Period. While colonial may be good for dogs who already have issues, it absolutely was NOT the right fit for a puppy. Our puppy came to us at 8 weeks old and we wanted to start his training and routines off from the start and be able to have a professional to ask questions to and look to for guidance. What we got instead was a woman who was super judge mental, used a prong collar to SHANK our dog extremely HARSHLY and told us to tie our dog to his bed for hours, have him in the crate for hours, or leashed to our side. She would shank him for things he didn't even understand he was doing wrong and she did it so hard he'd whimper and tuck his tail and be terrified. This CAUSED a TON of ANXIETY and then aggression as self-defense in our puppy which he has now struggled with his whole life. We had to hire a $4K dog trainer, go to a SPCA Dog behavioralist to put him on anxiety medication and completely re-train him to not be fearful or anxious or aggressive. He still isn't completely confident or able to be fully relaxed or happy. Going through Colonial Dog Training's program is one of my biggest regrets, HARMED my puppy/dog and caused problems that we will be trying to fix for years to come. Sure he learned sit, lay down, and stay, and one-on-one training is good, but he developed severed deeper issues that are even harder and more expensive to address. I understand how difficult it is looking for help and how many options are out there so it can get overwhelming, but I would absolutely tell anyone to not choose this program and instead, take your time interviewing trainers and find one who does not use such harsh negative reinforcements.

After the expected rounds of training with them, our dog was less anxious with people as well as other dogs and our relationship with him was better. After moving two years later, our dog had accidents in the house. We reached out to Jenna who guided us through how to help him healthily adjust to the new space. Within a month, we were back on track. Most recently, a few years later, our dog started having aggression when it came to crating. We reached out to Jenna who helped us to safely address behavior until she could come out and work with us in person. Two weeks after she came and taught us how to work through this behavior, our little dog puts himself in his crate and we are confident in his behavior again. I made a boarding reservation for my dog and paid a 50% deposit on June 10. When I needed to adjust the boarding dates, I contacted Pawmenities a week before the scheduled service multiple times by email, text message, and phone, but I received no response for several days. The automatic phone system was especially frustrating because it directed me to communicate by text message, but my text messages also went unanswered. The lack of communication was extremely concerning, especially since this was my first time using their service and I needed to feel confident about where my dog would be staying. Because I could not get any answers, I drove to the Lynnfield location expecting to visit the facility. I was surprised to find that it was only a pickup/drop-off location and not the actual boarding facility. I requested a tour of the boarding location, but my request was never addressed. Two days before the scheduled boarding, after several days of trying to reach them, I finally received a text saying they could accommodate my dog on the requested new dates. However, my concerns were never acknowledged. There was no explanation for the lack of communication, no apology, and no follow-up regarding my request to visit the facility. At that point, I no longer felt comfortable leaving my dog in their care. I canceled the reservation and requested a refund of my deposit, but I never received any follow-up communication or reimbursement. A boarding service requires trust, communication, and confidence, especially when it involves the care of a pet. Unfortunately, my experience before the service even began did not provide the level of communication and reassurance I needed.

She is so much more than our dog sitter because she truly loves my dogs and they love her. Every time she comes to pick them up, they sprint for her car door and are eager to jump in. She's extremely timely and considerate and takes care of them as if they were her own. I use Larysa's pet services multiple times a week and have since I moved here in April 2018 and I don't trust anyone else with my pups! She ensures the absolute best care and they also get to play their hearts out. They always come home, happy, healthy and sleepy from all the playing. I let Jennifer know about the my dog's specific routines, as well that she is diabetic. When I returned a couple of hours later, I found that my instructions regarding her meals were directly disregarded. Not only was there mess of fecal matter left at the back of our home, but I found that Penny had another full bowl of kibble despite her eating prior to me leaving her. Penny's health conditions make it so that she shouldn't have no more than a full bowl of kibble a day. If she does she risks exacerbating her health conditions. Jennifer was extremely careless in her care taking and for that I will no longer be a customer.

Just today, I witnessed her screaming at some little boys in front of Curtis Hall. She may be kind to your dog, but she is not a nice person, and I actually find it laughable that she is a nurse because I cannot picture her having even an ounce of bedside manner. If I were you, I'd find a different dog walker--one with some class and kindness.
