Her oral mucosa was extremely dried out--a clear sign of dehydration. This is a basic care requirement for any boarding facility. They also did not give her medications correctly, giving them at the incorrect time of day which can cause adverse health outcomes. **Lack of Organization & Accountability:** When I arrived for pickup, the staff didn't know where my dog was. She was described as being "somewhere in the groom area on the second floor." Despite having her grooming started at 11 AM, at 5:30 PM when I arrived, there was no clear tracking of her location or status. More troubling: she was supposed to return to daycare, which was explicitly included in the premium boarding package I paid for. **Hidden Fees & Price Gouging:** Beyond the already expensive room rate, Red Dog charges for everything, including bagging food but not returning the individual food containers your drop off, while refusing to provide any transparency about what actually happens behind closed doors. You pay premium prices for services you can't verify are being delivered. **Unsubstantiated & Inappropriate Allegations:** Most concerning: Red Dog claimed my dog, who is a certified therapy dog with extensive professional experience in hospitals and clinical settings, tried to bite someone during grooming. This allegation contradicts her entire behavioral history and working credentials. As well as impeccable boarding, grooming and daycare experiences at other facilities. Red Dog Boarding demonstrates poor animal care standards, organizational chaos, aggressive pricing practices, and a troubling lack of accountability.

I got daily picture and video reports, and Shari kept me informed of Bea's eating (which was a concern for me). She even brought over a sample of dry food for my picky cat baby to try and she's eating it! Shari visited at the same time each day which kept Bea in her routine, which I really appreciate. Working with Shari included a meet and greet with Bea before I left, and she was very responsible and flexible with figuring out logistics with visits, keys, etc. 10/10 would recommend if you're looking for a cat sitter in the Fenway/Back Bay/South End area.

They scheduled his initial appointment very quickly. The vet called us and talked through everything and consistently asked if we had questions. Since then I needed advice and eventually an appointment for my dog and they got him in right away and did a terrific job during surgery. The vets we've worked with have been outstanding and so helpful, the vet techs are amazing and do a phenomenal job soothing your pet (they know it can be traumatic for dogs and humans), and whenever I request receipts for insurance they are so happy to help and send it immediately. I took my dog here at 7:45 am Monday morning due to excessive vomiting from getting into old rice,…read morethey did x-rays and some basic tests and said his heart and lungs looked good and there was no visible blockage in his stomach which was completely empty but specifically told me there was an excessive amount of gas in his stomach. The treatment that was given was 2 oral medications and a sedative prior to the X-ray. The only follow up I was told was to give him medication and monitor and if he continued to throw up bring him to an emergency vet. Less than 24 hours after bringing him to this clinic my dog was dead. A quick search and a consult with our typical vet revealed that excessive gas in a dogs stomach is more than likely going to cause a stomach flip, all of his symptoms were text book of GDV or gastrointestinal issue that unless caught early will absolutely cause deaths in a dog. GDV was not mentioned, considered or treated from the vets and I was instead sent home and he was given a sedative to perform the X-ray which worsened his already quick and heavy breathing worsening his condition. This vet is negligent and does not care in any way about the animals, they charged me $1,000 for tests and didn't even tell me what gas in a dogs stomach meant or could cause. I have spent over $16,000 in back surgeries for my dog and if they had told me he needed a procedure to reverse the gas I would have done it immediately, the doctors did not do their job and because of them my dog died rapidly and unnecessarily due to their negligence. I will be seeking legal action against this clinic. All I want is my dog back and if they had even remotely done their job he would be here. Heart, lungs and body were in perfect condition according to them and the only thing off was the "excessive gas" which they did nothing about. If you love your dog or animal for that matter do NOT go to this clinic. They do not care about your pet, they do not do their job, my baby boy is gone forever and they could have prevented it but instead half a*sed treatment and sent me on my way. Terrible, terrible place. My baby boy is gone forever and this place should be shut down for malpractice immediately. Based on the other reviews I am not the first person to have a terrible experience and the only reason I went here is because it was an emergency and they are 7 minutes from my home. DO NOT GO HERE EVER.
