All i can say is i wish Yelp would go higher than 5 stars! I am very obsessive with my 4 legged kids, and I have 4 of them. Needless to say, when my groomer retired, I had feelers out there to my friends regarding a new groomer. They led me to The Dog Squad AZ. Being the apprehensive momma that I am, I made the initial phone call. Well the stars go up from there. The rep I spoke with, Jerry asked me "What is a convenient day for you?" Where do you get that conversation nowadays. Usually they are in a rush to get you in and out, and he asked me when would be the best time for me. Ok so we made our schedule and again being the apprehensive mom that I am I only booked for one of my pups He precalled me to let me know when he was coming over.. Again Nice customer service so that bumped the stars up even more. When Jerry arrived, he let me examine the mobile unit he used because he could sense my apprehension and wow what a great and clean setup he had. him. He made me feel so at ease with him. I let him take Lennox out to be groomed and of course I was inside biting nails, but that dog came back absolutely beautiful. His coat was clean and shiny, his nails were perfectly shaped and his ears were spotless. ( yes I checked that also) Well so now I am giddy with excitement on this guy so I went to make an appointment for my other 3. Well Jerry did all my dogs in that appointment. I have to say that Lori saved my dog. I got my dog from a rescue as a small pup. She quickly became a large, strong dog. This is what I wanted, but on top of being large and strong she was strong-willed, pushy, destructive, and because she was fearful of noises she could be reactive. I have taken my dog to lots of training & socialization classes prior to finding Lori. They were not helping and my dog was getting more out of control. I was losing hope. Then, I found Lori through a recommendation. I was extremely pleased from the first day I met her. She listened to my concerns and to what I had already tried and developed a plan from there. She modified training based on my physical needs and that of my family. When something didn't work, she adjusted. If I texted with an issue, she responded quickly. As my girl improved, we worked in various locations to improve her skills. I can now confidently have people visit. I can take my dog to parks, around other dogs, as well as in stores. She is now a confident, well behaved and happier dog. I am still working with my dog, but am confident that with Lori's help, my dog and I will be able to go anywhere and reach any goal I set for her. My goldendoodle puppy, Leo (6 mos), and I just completed the 5 week basic obedience course. I couldn't be any happier with the experience! My favorite thing about training with Lori is her positive, compassionate, and gentle training approach with each dog/owner. She understands that every dog learns at his/her own pace and is an individual. She also provided many solutions to common problems, such as jumping, since there isn't one solution that works for all dogs. She made sure to give attention to each dog and owner on an individual basis, even though this was a group class. I was completely impressed! She is truly an amazing trainer, and I recommend her to anyone or any dog. I can't wait to take my puppy to her intermediate class (and he can't wait either)! Jerry has been grooming my dogs for 16 years. I wouldn't trust anyone else. They always look wonderful and they are happy going in and coming out of the grooming trailer. He is always on time (sometimes early!), always asks how I want them groomed, and gives a full report on every issue or lump he might find during the grooming. As my dogs have aged he was always very careful and gentle with each one, no matter how frail. My dogs love Jerry! I have also taken two of my dogs for training with Lori both privately and with classes at The Stock Shop. Lori is a wonderful trainer. My current trainee is a rescued yorkie mix who was very reactive of other dogs. With Lori's help and a lot of practice he is so much better! He is still a work in progress but I have great faith that he will continue to improve thanks to Lori. read more

We've been using The Dog Squad AZ for grooming for nearly 10 years and have been extremely happy! We started using them upon a friend's recommendation. It is so nice to have a groomer come to the house instead of having to plan a day around dropping off, and being available to pick up. Also, our dog doesn't have to sit in a kennel while waiting her turn, which is much less stressful for her. It only takes 45 minutes to an hour, instead of a minimum of 4 hours at any previous location we had used. Jerry is always on time, friendly, and knows our dog well. He not only does a wonderful job grooming, but also looks for anything out of the ordinary that could be concerning. I HIGHLY recommend them!! I have known Lori since I was 11, she helped me train my first dog. Lori knows her trade, and is one of the best professional dog trainers I have met. She helped me become the handler I am now. Her ability to read dogs and people alike is a rare find. I am now 28 and back training my 11 month old puppy for service work. He has social anxiety when we are out of the house. Lori has been able to help us so much! All of her suggestions and techniques have work so well with my dog. I have referred several friends to her, and all come back saying the same thing. We've been customers of Lori and Jerry for over 20 years. Jerry first groomed our Sheltie Mokie and now Sam and Charlie. Jerry always let's us know if he sees anything and or recommends to watch something like their ears. Jerry is excellent at handling the dogs and is very compassionate with them. He is dependable and very thorough. When I walk the dogs, I always get compliments on what good looking dogs they are!! Our familiy has been using the mobile grooming for the last 8 years and we could not be happier. Our dogs have learned to love Jerry like family. He comes right to the house which is much less stressful for my two dogs. Lucy, our rescue dog, gets very nervous going into new environments, so the mobile grooming is the perfect match for her. Jerry and Lori are fantastic! My German Shepherds love bath time with Jerry. It saves me from loading up all the dogs and driving to the groomer and then driving back to pick them up. I have been using Jerry as our groomer for approximately 7 years. He is always on time...or even early. The prices are very reasonable and he comes to our house.
