I would give JJ 10 stars if I could. She is so good with my dogs and did a fantastic job grooming them. One of my dogs is very scared and she allowed me in her mobile unit while she was clipping her nails so she felt comfortable. We called Jan after we saw her grooming our neighbors dog a few times. I used to be a dog groomer (I sucked) and I was grooming Alister at home in the backyard; it gets to be hard when it's your own dog and no table. Jan came out, met Alister, and took him to be groomed! He had a couple mattes since it had been so long and some gunk in his beard. Long nails. Etc. She brought him back inside about an hour later and he looks great! He was super happy. She gave him treats (with permission). He was excited and happy with her. No bad vibes! We'll definitely be using JJs Mobile Grooming again. In fact, we prebooked for his next shave. I would recommend booking ahead, because she's very busy. But it's worth it! If you're looking for cost info - Alister is a small dog, about 15 lbs (really 20 because he's overweight). I'd say about the size of a pug. His groom was $60 which included nails, glands, bath, and haircut. Obviously, there's probably differences in sizes and dog condition in cost. And probably distance, I would think. Jan arrived took Jake right in and turned my 3 year old Aussie into a Prince! I am amazed how beautiful he looked and relaxed after his grooming session. My Dogs give JJ's Mobile Pet Grooming "ALL" paws up approval! They are treated like a King and Queen having a pampered Spa day! I have a female Shih Tzu, and a (morkie) which is a Male Maltese terrier mix. They are so happy and so beautiful when she is finished with them both. She even gives them each a treat after there done. Never had a mobile groomer before but our Gabe had had an all out panic attack when Ieft him off at our usual groomer a few days prior. I have never seen him act like this, ever. Or any other dog for that matter. Gabe has never liked going to the groomer but endured it. Anyway, hoping for a calmer atmosphere I randomly called JJ. She listened and could come on Saturday. She was quiet and gentle with him from the get go and though he trembled for a while and whimpered a bit he stayed the course and was successfully groomed! Jan has been grooming my dogs for about a year. I have breeds which require frequent grooming...Shih Tzu, Lhasa Apso, Maltese. Leaving them all day at a groomer doesn't work well for me and is too stressful for the dogs. I love that Jan comes right to the house and can do all 3 dogs in about 2 hours. Jan is very good with the dogs and takes time with each one to get them comfortable and relaxed to ensure they have a good grooming experience. The dogs love their spa day! I will NEVER use JJs again!!!!! After being over an hour late with no call or text I called Jan. No answer. It took over 5 times and 2 VMs to get ahold of her! She proceeded to tell me that she doesnt have time to call people when she is running late or else she wouldn't get anything done. I had a personal obligation at 5pm (which I told her when I booked my appt). My appt was a 3pm, at 4:15pm when she FINALLY got back to me (I had been waiting since 2:30pm) she basically told me to kick rocks because she was behind. She was rude, unprofessional, nasty, and unreasonable. SHE was late and didnt even have the decency to take 1 minute and call (some owner)! Unfortunately for her, 3 of my family members and 2 neighbors (13 dogs total) will never be using her again after today! She lost major business with me. Jan was so sweet with my little Yorkies today. Tiny Dash had a terrible cut up north in March, which Jan was able to even out. Now the terrible hack job on her thinnish silky hair has been remedied. Not only that, Dash was HAPPY instead of clinging, cowering, and shaking like after the last place. Our Ted E. Bear with tons of thick cottony hair, who we sometimes jokingly call Bed Head Ted, was cleaned up and looks incredibly handsome. At ten months, it was his first experience with a professional groomer, and I couldn't have asked for a better one. Jan listened and did exactly what I asked with both of them in about an hour each.
