Two Fathoms Brewing is an independent craft brewery in Winona, MN, located in a restored 1883 freight station in the historic Driftless region. they offer a rustic taproom experience with some great brews. "Anybody Want a Peanut?": A Porter made with real peanut butter and milk chocolate giving it the depth of flavor with none of the artificial tastes. New Riders of the Pilsner Haze: A New Zealand Pilsner hopped with Nectaron, Nelson Sauvin, and SubZero Hop Kief. The Owl Farm Experiment: An Experimental IPA brewed with Strata, Mosaic, and Galaxy. Tropical fruit smacks you in the face with citrus and peach coming in the next round. The Diesel Fitzgerald: A Dunkel using Midnight Wheat and Dark Munich malts. All three of us (the Mrs, my Aunt, and myself) ordered the Biertgarten Smashburgers and we split an order of the Cheese Curds. The burgers were two 4oz chuck/brisket patties, fried onion, American cheese, lettuce, pickles, and Smash Sauce served on a toasted brioche bun and is FANTASTIC! Have plenty of napkins at your disposal as the flavor oozes from this burger! The hand-cut fries are a great side and very good too (I had to add some salt to put them over the top)...the Cheese Curds made it a trifecta...they were outstanding as well, crispy coating and melt in your mouth cheesyness! The servers were very helpful and ready to help out at a moments notice. Dixie's Biertgarten Smashburger has moved on to my Top 5 Burgers I've Ever Had list... It was around 3 in the afternoon and the place was packed (casual atmosphere and some sports on the big screens) so you may have to wait for a seat...there is some outdoor seating but it was raining today but FYI....it's definitely worth the time so be patient!

Burger was very shareable and came with fries. Not sure it's the best in the state, but it was very good. Despite being busy, food came out quickly. Great selection of local craft beers on tap. Decorah has amazing beers. Special note that the staff was very friendly. This was a great bar and grill and I can totally see why it was crawling with guests. We will be back when in town again.

He knows how to pick 'em. We had a lovely dinner in a low key environment. Really friendly. Interesting mix of food. This place offered pizzas and also had a food truck that had great Asian food. The food truck rotates day to day. But they have the local favorites. Now to the brews. I don't know much about beer. But they do. They know a lot. I think they had ten on tap. Big range. Everybody finds something good. They have lots of sodas in cans for the kids and those who do not do alcohol. This is not a dive bar. It is a place you can bring people of all ages and hang out. Lots of board games and toys. Big tables. Being summer now, they have inside and outside seating. Parking is ample. Mostly street, but nobody else competes so it works great. I got to chat with the bar tender about small town life and her love of travel. I also got to talk to the brewmaster who took the time to give me a tour. I am not sure if that will be available for you, but it might. Just ask. Attention to detail was very evident. I have no idea where they got the name. I am reminded of Genesis 1:2. "The earth was without form and void" I am reminded by my friends who read Hebrew that it meant "The earth was chaotic". Maybe you can ask them about the name and let us know.

Brayden promptly came and took our order as we were thirsty. All of the sudden, Clark joined us at the table and we had a quick discussion about beer. We then found out he was the owner. We discussed beer and he was very generous with his time and recommended what to try. We were extremely pleased with the beer. The food was top notch as well as we tried the burger of the month and a few pizzas. Will definitely be back if we are ever in the area. Highly recommend a stop!

It's an enormous, industrial-chic space and is built for events and charter busses. Their patio is dog friendly but you have to come inside to order at the bar after checking in. The food looked decent and the pretzel was ok. Standard, uninspired brewpub food for the most part. Worth noting that their beer list isn't up to date so we missed out on a few barrel aged things they said they had. Basically you have to get there on release day if you want any non-flagship dark beers. It's a nice one-stop shop on a road trip for food and beer but I don't think it's worth going out of the way for.
