Salad with entree

Sorry I didn't get pictures of the entrees but we were cold and starved. The night was damp and cold. Unfortunately we wanted to enjoy the view, but our table was quite cold. The longer we were there the colder we got. The place is really designed to be on the water and more pleasant in better weather. We really wanted to stop in and try it on our way back from Charlotte. The food is amazing. I had the Pecan crusted Tilapia. My wife had the Tomato Basil Soup and Herb Chicken. She's really adventurous with her choices. It's a running gag within the family. This place has a view we all would want. Panoramic view of Lake Guntersville. You really have to try it. Looks like an old covered dock combined with a bar. Dive bar interior without the darkness, but frankly amazing food with great variety and outstanding service. Be sure to check it out.

Brandy is our favorite server. She always does amazing job! The lake is so beautiful and peaceful. I love to get the fried fish here. It is by far the best catfish I've had. My boyfriend always gets the sirloin, he always enjoys it. We go here all the time, highly recommended!

Had a great Wednesday night here! The fish n chips was super good, and the staff were really nice. Food was quick. The sunset here was stunning. The mosquitos were a bit of an issue so we moved inside next to the big windows. It was our first time and we had a great experience!

Great shrimp and grits. Steaks are delicious too. For ranch lovers, the ranch here is outstanding.

One…read morething I appreciated right away was that drinks come in generous pitchers -- great value if you're going with a group. Chips and salsa were brought to the table without having to ask, which is always a welcome touch. Service was attentive considering there was only one server handling the floor. Props to them for keeping things running smoothly. The food was middle-of-the-road -- not the best Mexican I've had, but certainly not the worst either. If you're looking for a solid, no-surprises meal, it'll do the job. The atmosphere is actually one of the highlights. It's a nice bar setting, well-lit, and wasn't overly loud during our early visit -- easy to hold a conversation, which isn't always a given at a bar. Now, the restrooms could use some attention. They're a bit dated and in need of updating. I did get a chuckle out of the handwashing requirement sign posted prominently on the wall -- right next to the one soap dispenser that happened to be completely empty. It makes you wonder how closely that policy is actually enforced. Overall, La Cabaña by JUAN is a fine spot for drinks and a casual bite. Just maybe bring your own hand sanitizer.

My server, Yesenia, did a great job breaking down the food items I was interested in. I also asked for my catfish blackened and fried. Yesenia and the chef made it happen! So yummy! Everyone was super friendly, shout out to our server Brandon. Friendly and willing to engage in my favorite activity (small talk!) lol. To the food. I have an extensive list of food allergies and intolerances. So I will always review a place where I can find a good meal and not get sick or worse. I had the burger po'boy and it was great! Perfect ratio of burger to bread. The fries were pretty standard Sysco fair but I like their seasoned fries so all good. Hubs had the catfish lunch meal and he enjoyed it. Ordered the boy the crab cake meal and he loved it. Also got the 4 sides option as part of our to-go order - gumbo, red beans & rice, jambalaya, and etouffee. I hate soupy rice & beans, so I was happy to see that these were done right. They also tasted great. I wasn't able to try the other items (pesky seafood allergy) but they also looked good and smelled delicious. Definitely see us making a day trip in the future to eat here again.
