Great sushi rolls! I love the Twins roll. The shrimp soba and chicken teriyaki are really good, too.

Good food for the price. We had the habachi chicken and it was good, hot, and fresh. For a quick, cheap meal you can't beat it.

Currently my favorite Asian food in the area, including Huntsville. The service is always quick and the people are friendly. Good price too.

I'm kind of tepid about most Japanese restaurants. Now, I like sushi, but I'm also kinda not rich. Sushi runs up the check before I run out of hunger. So teriyaki and a lot of water. My wife, her daughter and son-in-law, and I needed to birthday in honor of aforementioned wife. Aki got good reviews on Yelp. None of us had previously tried it, and to end the where-should-we-go round-and-round, I declared for Aki and started the car. We could go back. It was very good. Mm. I can't remember exactly what we all had, dang it. My receipt doesn't say. But son-in-law and I both had shrimp and noodles. Get that. Very tasty brown sauce, plenty of pretty good shrimp (c'mon - this is northern Alabama, not the coast), excellent udon? noodles, perfect onions, sweet sweet carrot. Steamed rice perfectly sticky for picking up with chopsticks. Very savory, just right saltwise. And a salad with tasty dressing, even though it's almost the same dressing at almost every Japanese restaurant. Son-in-law, a strapping sort, ate it all there. I, old, had a whole lunch of leftovers, which were delicious. My wife got beef noodles, I think, but they were different, and didn't come with a salad. The sauce was a little lighter and the beef was robust, a perfect combination. Get that, if you can figure out what it is. (sorry) Daughter got a tuna and avocado roll with pink soybean paper wrapper. It was surprisingly big for the price, and she loved it. The store was clean, though everything was pretty worn - even the menus. Guessing it's because of the heavy traffic of happy people coming to eat here over the last five, I think, years it's been open. Even a couple of tables of seemingly Japanese customers, including one with four cheerful and entertaining kids. Bring the fam, I guess! Service was excellent. The store was very clean and comfortably lit. It was easy to find and get to. Didn't try the bathrooms. Parking was shopping center parking. It all works. Full check for four, water to drink, no appetizer but a tip reflecting the service: $84. Thought that was reasonable. Go there!

It is within walking distance from class and I hadn't been before but was saved in Yelp as one of my "want to try" restaurants. First off, the warm greeting was so nice as we were the first customers of the day (a few minutes before opening). We were seated promptly and the server was quick to check in with us. I had read about the ambiance before hand and was very intrigued to see if it would be too "dark" to see with my older eyes but it was actually perfect and I enjoyed the red light, intimate feel. We decided to split the chicken curry ramen and edamame, fries and she also got a single slider. Let me tell you, nothing short of yummy perfection. THOSE FRIES, the flavors of the curry, alllllllll the things. Excellent find and kudos to the daughter for the recommendation.

The sliders are a great treat and crispy every time. The ramen is good and filling too. The last two times I've been, I noticed the quality of the ramen declined. The noodles are becoming firmer and firmer. Too firm for a tonkatsu ramen. Both of us were disappointed and hope that the quality gets back to where it used to be.
