Kinda pricey but so good: Crispy Arancini, risotto bites stuffed with bacon, asparagus, crab & shrimp.

After a long day of driving, we chose this place as a low key spot to have dinner and a cocktail. Thursday night, here a little over an hour before closing and not another soul in sight but the staff. We sat at the inside window bar to people watch. Great night for training a new server, both she and the experienced server were super friendly & attentive (pro-tip: never walk away from the table empty handed, clear plates & dry drink glasses). We started with a yummy appetizer of Crispy Arancini: golden fried risotto bites stuffed with bacon, asparagus, crab & shrimp. Only two for $22, it's a good thing they were tasty. We split a Crab Mac & Cheese (a little runny with spiral noodles, not my fave) and a Ribeye dinner with added mushrooms, and a fantastic black garlic compound butter. Steak was cooked to melt-in-your-mouth perfection. The chef's potatoes and brussels sprouts were a delightful side. Peaceful quiet end to the day!

Outdoor dining; beautiful blueberry & huckleberry martini

While both the food and drinks did take a little longer than expected, we had a fabulous dinner out on the sidewalk / patio. We tried the BBQ Cajun Oysters and Baked Brie for appetizers and both were delicious. Our main courses were the Shrimp Pappardelle and the Seafood Special with Scallops and Prawns. Both were yummy and allowed for leftovers to take home! Our waitress was very friendly, helpful, and welcoming for our first visit. We will definitely be back this summer!

World-Class Baked Brie

We had a truly incredible meal at District Bistro & Martini Bar. What started as a quick lunch stop became a thoroughly impressive and memorable experience. The ambiance is phenomenal; great lighting and beautiful music. Also, it's a true chef-led spot, and you can tell from the moment the food hits the table. Their baked brie was outstanding - warm (served in it's cast-iron pan), creamy, and paired with glazed walnuts + a homemade berry compote that had this subtle, cooked in blueberry-vodka twist. Easily one of the best versions I've ever had. My boyfriend ordered their house steak smash burger (with the house-grilled onions add on) and praised the exceedingly high quality of the meat. He affirmed that it was one of the best burgers he's ever eaten. I had the fish sandwich, which was fresh, flavorful, and came topped with genuinely great coleslaw + remoulade. Both plates came with perfectly crisp battered fries. Our server, Hannah, was fantastic - friendly, attentive, and clearly someone who enjoys her work. After the meal, the chef came over to say hello, which matched the whole vibe: thoughtful, personal, and proud of the food. We told her how much we loved everything. P.S. - Their martinis are to die for. I ordered the hibiscus dream and my boyfriend got the savory citrus. Both were 10/10. We highly recommended this gem of an establishment.

Came here today for brunch today on Sunday around 11:00, with a group of 5 1/2 (baby). It was not crowded, maybe because it was before church going crowds came in. The place has completely been redone since about a year ago. It used to have a large gift shop with some tables for lunch dining and was really not set up for the more fine dining experience. Now it is set up nicely with a full service bar with a large variety of wines, a wine bottle display area, and a small area where you could purchase a variety of food items, such as chocolates and cheese and other higher end jams, dry rubs, bitters, mustards, crackers, etc. We all had different brunch items and received our meal in a timely manner. Everyone really loved their dishes. Good prices and good-sized items. I ended up ordering off their lunch menu as they had a few of those items available during brunch time. I had the sirloin burger and added crisp bacon and held back on the cheese. It was served with seasoned crinkle fries and a homemade pickle. The burger, I would say, was about 1/3 pound of good quality beef and was definitely ground by the establishment. It had a homemade aioli. It was juicy and seasoned perfectly and had a very slight smoky flavor. The patty matched the size of the bun and so, because of that, I had bun with beef to the very last bite. It was the perfect burger, and most definitely the best burger I've had in years. Service was friendly and excellent as well. I will definitely return for drinks in the evening at the bar next time.

Black Cod with Lobster Ravioli

Birthday for the hubby and it did not disappoint. For Cocktails he had a Smoked Old Fashioned and I had a Pomegranate Gin Fizz. Both drinks were flavorful and refreshing. The appetizer was Crab Stiffed Mushrooms with Real Crab. One of my favorite appetizers to order. He had the Butternut Ravioli with Shrimp and I had the Black Cod with the Lobster Ravioli. Both Raviolis had the perfect amount of filling. The Black Cod paired perfectly well with the Lobster Ravioli and there were shavings of fresh and crispy Asparagus. The Shrimp were large and tender and also paired well with the Butternut Squash Ravioli filled with a nice ricotta cheese. We were too full for dessert so our delightful waitress sent us home with sea salt caramels that are made in house. The staff are always pleasant and courteous. We were able to sit by the blue flamed fireplace that gives off just enough heat to keep you warm on a cool and crisp evening.

Lamb pops, Cabernet, Spicy Paloma

Small place but the food and drinks were good. We came on a fully booked night but we were able to grab drinks and a appetizer at the bar. We ordered the lamb pops. I would highly recommend them, as they were cooked perfectly. The bartender seemed a bit overwhelmed with a large crowd, I think if there was a bar back drinks would of came out faster to the entire restaurant.

First time at The District since it became a full on bistro. Used to be a gift shop with wine and chocolates only. Now a full menu bistro. Nice downtown spot looking right out onto first street in the heart of Sandpoint. Atmosphere is nice. There is a full bar an a nice menu with great wine selections. Our party was pleased with our meals and drinks, only disappointment was we wanted creme brulee but they were out but we will def be back to give them another try! Maybe for lunch!

Amazing wine flights with cheese! Great pairings

We decided on lunch at 113 on my recommendation, as it's always been in my wife's top picks. The staff/ owner/ crew took us right in and accommodated the dog as a guest (out is a service dog, a very senior one, but really is) and made my out of town friends feel like family. The food? Once again, everyone left with full bellies and impressed with the quality we were served. Go here. You will be glad you did.

Hostess then arrived and got us seated right away despite it being a bustling night. GREAT ambience - lively but not loud - no need to raise voice to talk with your party. Server came out promptly and took great care of us. My sister got the Jasmine and it was as great tasting as it was beautiful - tart, so if you like tart drinks get it and don't think twice. The Focaccia Bread WITH the steamer clams was a great appetizer (soak the bread in the tomato juice!) and the entrees were SO GOOD. The Chilean Sea Bass was PERFECTLY cooked and was up there in the best we've ever had. The pesto gnocchi + squash it rested on was delightful and the perfect combination. The Peruvian Chicken was ALSO perfectly cooked and its sauce was to die for. The potatoes that went along with were salted just right. Great great great, highly recommend whether you're having dinner or going to the bar with a friend for a LIVELY kind of experience
