Wow- the food was so fresh and well prepared. The service was fantastic, although I did go on an off time. I didn't realize it was a speakeasy and unfortunately did not have a cocktail, but will return in the future. The ambiance is great inside and out for two different experiences.

Great ambiance. We enjoyed the outdoor seating on a Saturday night. It was busy and there was live music on the entire block. The host set us at a nice table with grass next to it for the pup. We enjoyed glasses of prosecco, appetizers (like shishito peppers), and entrees (filet, fish, cheesesteak, and burger) for all. The vibe was cool and lots of foot traffic now that Cleveland street is closed to cars and it's all seating for new restaurants. We were sat without a reservation with no wait even on a super busy night celebrating the giant duck downtown. Dog friendly! Will definitely be back!

The day we went we did not have any food to us; however, those around does speak very highly of their meals. The servers /bartenders were very nice. Quick service and excellent drinks! This place is fairly new and more upcoming events are planned as well as new items coming to the menu. It is a relaxed place to be and with a calm vibe. This one is a place we will be going back to to have their food. My friends at evening had stated they had eaten there and had great experiences. This evening we had nice cold drinks poured for us and they were excellent in every way. The Bistro is clean, average loudness, and great to gather with friends. There is parking in nearby lots and garages. Stop by and check this place out! It will be worth the time & experience!

Love this new bistro in downtown Clearwater! Charming ambience and excellent service provided by Mary, a real professional who offered good suggestions. We started with a couple of appetizers from the happy hour menu (3-6, M-F) and a dirty martini. Also ordered the steak sandwich. Everything was delicious. So good to know they don't use ANY SEED OILs. The beef tallow fries are excellent. Nice draft beer selection along with wines by the glass. Good looking dessert menu and after dinner coffee or drinks. Nice date night spot. Can't wait to return soon.

Happy Hour Cab (only $4!!!) and loaded Parmesan beef tallow fries! Don't worry the pour was way more I had drank it

Ok I never give five stars and you all know that! However! This place is sooooo cute! If you enter thru the front door it's a beautiful restaurant and bar. If you event thru the back door it's a speakeasy! So cute! The service is always friendly and fast. The food is great and the drinks are amazing! They even have Happy Hour from 3-6 and brunch on the weekends. Haven't tried brunch yet but I will!

    Holiday peppermint chocolate martini (delicious)

My fiancé and I came for lunch and WOW!!! The inside of the restaurant is beautiful and renovated, and they have a lovely outdoor spot with plenty of umbrellas. Our server Jason took perfect care of us and walked us through the specials and hot menu items. We got the steak bites, cooked perfectly, with a delicious garlic aioli to start. We also got the smash burger with beef tallow fries, and short rib sandwich topped with melty Gouda. Downtown Clearwater needed another restaurant at this caliber- it is absolutely to die for. A must try stop in downtown Clearwater!!

    Bar seating and tvs

First visit, full disclosure, I'm here bc they do not use seed oils!! With that said, had to try the fries made with beef tallow.. SO GOOD! The ambience in this place is a little NYC retro vibe. I was surprised how much bar seating was available! They are pretty new and I was there on Monday. There is a large selection of draft beers and wine by the glasss but I opted for the DIRTY, a kettle One Martini and I have to say it was better than the one I had at Ruth's Chris over the weekend. The shishito pepper appetizer was great and a huge bowl!! I requested horseradish with my steak sandwich.. no problem. Kheoke coffee on the menu finally!!!! How many times have I searched for that ona menu and it was great! I can't wait to go back and sample the expansive burger menu, or the short rib sandwich. If it's as good as the steak sandwich you can't go wrong!

Fondue is the special of the day.

It was recommended to add the steak bites. Ordered them without the butter sauce but they came with it anyway. Croutons and fondue aren't really a good mix. The fondue was flavorless. The steak is flavorless even with the butter sauce and it didn't stick to the cheese. The curious margarita was good but not much to it. Would not recommend this place.

The brussel sprouts appetizer is HUGE. It was double the size I have received at other places, so took some back to the hotel for leftovers. They also came with a tasty dipping sauce that was unique as well. The Caesar salad was neutral; no strong flavor yet not distasteful. No anchovies taste either. I could take it or leave it. The filet steak was tender served over some mashed potatoes and thick asparagus wrapped in salty, yummy bacon. The smoky old fashioned and expresso martini (with Baileys added extra!) drinks were tasty. Make a reservation online and Uber/Lyft if you are close as it's easy in and out!

We ended up splitting the seafood pasta dish, and it was more than either of us could eat, even after splitting it. Service was good for dinner. Martini was good, but the blue cheese stuffed olives were prepackaged from a jar. Breakfast blew us away. Every dish we had was great. I don't think you can go wrong. Breakfast pizza was surprisingly great and enough for two people to split. Service at breakfast was fantastic. The coffee was always flowing and the servers were always smiling. The atmosphere and ambience are OK. I don't love the vibe, as it felt like a dated dining room experience. But Food was still great. If you are staying at the Opal Sands, the entire complex has amazing food and you don't even have to leave. Huge benefit to staying there.

We started with 3 orders of grilled oysters, 3 for $5 is still a great deal. The cajun seasoning and cheese on top made them incredibly flavorful and enjoyable. They were so good we basically decided to order a second batch the moment we finished the first. We also got the fried Brussels sprouts and coconut shrimp. The coconut shrimp was delicious with the sweet and sour sauce, and the brussel sprouts were just pure yum. We were so into the appetizers that we almost skipped entrees, but decided to share a shrimp po'boy. The shrimp was perfectly crispy, exactly what we were looking for. Overall, great location, great food, friendly staff, fast service, and happy hour makes it all that much better. Will happily return and recommend!

The first odd moment was at check-in: our party of two was asked to sit at the outside high-top bar, even though the restaurant was mostly empty. That would have been fine if it was consistent, but right after that another party of two was told they could sit wherever they wanted. It set the tone that we were being "managed" into a specific spot for reasons that weren't about availability. Food-wise, it was actually fine. We ordered tacos and the surf and turf, and both were solid enough. Nothing blew me away, but nothing was wrong with it either. Service was also fine in the best way, our server was attentive without hovering and checked in at the right times. The value, though, is where this place starts slipping. A big chunk of the menu being market price feels misleading in practice, because it makes it harder to know what you're committing to until you're already there, and the final cost landed firmly on the expensive side for what we got. If you're going to charge premium prices, the overall experience has to match it. Unfortunately, the biggest issue had nothing to do with the kitchen. Because we were placed at that outside high-top bar, we ended up sitting a few feet away from a salesperson "training" another person directly in front of the restaurant, and their conversation was loud, crude, and uncomfortable the entire time. It wasn't just casual chatter, it was grotesque commentary, including a loudly announced remark about what he had done in the bathroom, plus a running lesson on how to deceive people and other tactics that sounded like a timeshare pitch tied to Wyndham. On top of that, the guy was openly ogling women, which made the area feel unpleasant and honestly embarrassing to sit near. The kicker was when we left, the same person tried to sell to us on the way out, apparently not realizing we'd been sitting right behind him the whole lunch. I understand people need to make a living, but the combination of the language, the behavior, and the proximity to diners completely undermined the experience. I don't know what the relationship is between that sales operation and Salty's. If you go, ask to sit inside or away from the bar/patio traffic, and be prepared for higher-than-expected pricing.
