Our first time to this newer establishment. While the name of the place doesn't scream Italian it's…read moreexactly that. Be forewarned. This place I'm told told changes menus every day. Food it served family style and it's a total cost per person. We had a vegetarian in our group so we were allowed to order items ala carte and the were several vegetarian options which was nice Food was excellent and our server Ana was spot on perfect. The place is on the smaller side some would highly recommended reservations From where I was seated I could see the bar and the bartender looked very interactive and everyone at the bar were having a lot of fun Congratulations to Volpe's we will be back!

So we did the price fix. The appetizers were burrata which was served without any bread or anything to spread it on, cauliflower that was so loaded with a heavy cheese. I couldn't eat it and a Caesar salad that had a ton of cheese on top of it and the dressing was also cheese forward.. we added an order of the garlic bread and even though there were five of us at the table, they only gave us four pieces. We then had a rotini pasta with sausage which was good. Then they served us small pieces of chicken with cheese on top of it and pieces of flounder which had grapes and olives. The flounder was okay. No one thought the chicken was especially interesting. Even a neighboring table commented to us about how they didn't like the chicken dish. Dessert was the best part of the night it was a chocolate cake with whipped cream on top and a delicious sauce. By that time I was full and couldn't eat all of it, but it was very good. As far as the service goes, they did keep filling our water glasses but I was a bit surprised when they poured the last half glass of wine into my wine glass without asking if I want it anymore. And there were three other people at the table whose wine was almost empty. I didn't want anymore and now I had a full glass. So then he asked the other people at the table if we should order another bottle. Which we wouldn't have needed. Totally unnecessary. This meal was so rich. It really should have had a vegetable that was cooked without the heavy dairy products to lighten it up. Would I go back?. No. Also, the noise level was so loud half the time we couldn't hear people on the other side of the table.

A group of us went recently to this little event. I went in with zero expectations, which makes…read morethings easier to enjoy. The plot was a bit confusing, but I feel the actors did a great job. Yes, they want you to laugh and have a good time. That's the point! And yes, if you need a hard drink, you'll have to go to the hotel bar to get one. The food, well it needs serious work. But again, I did not come for the food. I came to have fun with my friends and enjoy a unique experience. And that is exactly what I got. I would recommend this show. I am even considering going back to see if I can play a bit part. Very interactive and engaging! For entertaining purposes five stars! My only warning is be careful who you sit next to as they be the killer!

It was hard to find much to like about The Dinner Detective experience. The actors and servers were…read moreall very nice and lovely people, but my goodness, the whole production was long and boring and the entire narrative of the murder mystery story was disjointed and made no sense -- and that was true even if you could hear what was being said, which was very difficult. The actors should have mics!! And the food wasn't much better. The tortilla chips that were on the table for an appetizer were stale, and the entrees were mediocre, which all would have been fine if the performance we were there to see was fun. We were a group of 8 and so spent quite a bit of money. It ended up not being worth the money, so we left after the 2nd act.

Pirates Voyage is a small chain of American dinner theaters that opened in Myrtle Beach, South…read moreCarolina in June 2011. It was founded by the late American singer-songwriter, actress, and businesswoman Dolly Parton. It is managed by World Choice Investments LLC, a joint venture between The Dollywood Company, Fred Hardwick, and Herschend. From 1992 - 2018, the dinner theater in Myrtle Beach was home to Dolly Parton's "Dixie Stampede". In late 2018, Parton announced that the theater would be closed for refurbishment and converted into a family-friendly pirate-themed dinner show. The brand new show was designed to feature Blackbeard the pirate, a 15-foot deep 750,000 gallon pool, theatrical lighting, and rigging for acrobats. It opened to much acclaim and even features Christmas elements throughout the November and December show season. A second location opened in Pigeon Forge (TN) in May 2019, and a third opened in Panama City Beach (FL) in June 2025. My family and I recently dined at the Pirates Voyage in Myrtle Beach while we were staying in town for a few days. We had previously visited a few years back and loved it. It's essentially the pirate equivalent of "Medieval Times", but BETER! We arrived early for the pre-show, which featured a pirate sing-along with some briny buccaneers, acrobatics, and a photo opportunity with a mermaid. I enjoyed a non-alcoholic piña colada in a souvenir skull mug. For the main show, spectators are seated in areas where they must root for the sapphire pirates or the crimson pirates. We were seated in the latter section. The show features sword-fighting swashbucklers, mermaids, ghost pirates, music, special effects, acrobatics, and even live animals such as sea lions, dogs, and macaws. For Course 1, attendees are served "Voyager Creamy Vegetable Soup w/ a Buccaneer Biscuit". Course 2 features "Half O'Roasted Chicken, Swashbucklin' Sugar-Cured Ham, Cob O'Butter Corn & Matey's Mac 'N' Cheese". Dessert is a choice of "Chocolate Coconut Cake" or "Apple O' Me Eye Pie". There's nothing particularly special about the food, but I think it's safe to say that most people come for the exciting show and not for the food. Pirates Voyage is plenty of swashbuckling fun for the whole family and we highly recommend it to anyone visiting Myrtle Beach!

I will never come back to this overpriced dinner show again, save your money and do something else with your kids. If you have kids that are young don't even waste your time.

I received the tomato bisque, garlic bread, hummus with carrots, celery sticks and 4 pita slices. Then a stew with rice, beans, potatoes, and a packet of hot sauce. A side of corn and After we got the cake and an eclair. Recommendation IMO. The hot sauce was Louisiana hot sauce. Which is a great hot sauce , but more for fried fish. The stew would have been better with sriracha. But the hot sauce added was good and needed for more flavor. Again, IMO. I saved my pita bread slices for the stew. So that helped too, BUT, saltine crackers would have been bomb. The entertainment was so fun and enjoyable. The service was great. I feel bad I didn't remember our guys name. Will definitely come here again!

Her bubbly personality added to enthusiasm of the event. I will ask for her section next.
