I was amazed at the cast of FOUR and their ability to play over 130 characters and do it so artfully. The play itself was a riot, on many occasion we were laughing out loud. It was a very fast moving play so you had to pay attention but that wasn't difficult. The theater itself is very quaint. During intermission we got lucky and got to watch a young boy, who was there to watch the show, serenade everyone on the piano. We didn't arrive early enough to get drinks before the show but they allow drinks in the theater so we ordered a couple of glasses of wine and enjoyed them during the second half of the show. I had such a good time that I tried convincing my husband to go back later that week and watch the show with me again! I look forward to returning for more shows!

This time they chose an obnoxious drunk guy who used an Arabic slur at the end of his time. To the point one of the cast made a visibly disdainful face. And then he spent the entire hour (right behind me) guffawing at every single thing and repeating jokes over and over to himself aloud. This is a small venue. Bar is cash only. My show was only about 11 bucks, which is more than reasonable, and the only reason I am not outraged or unwilling to try again. They also have even cheaper shows and different themes.

The script was enjoyable, but I do question ways to improve in ways that promote inclusivity and avoid stereotyping during audience participation. One audience member took it upon herself to perform using African American Vernacular English? And that was really uncomfortable for me to sit through, especially with the lengths she went to overly characterize her role. Distasteful! Other than that, and no fault of the theatre crew, this was a cool experience. Maybe take the proactive route and include some helpful advice to participating audience members.

From the inside, it would be similar to a college or high school theater maybe holding 250 people. The acoustics were excellent and for the play we attended, the music was live. Although I didn't partake, I believe they also had alcohol for sale at very reasonable prices. The theater is quite intimate and could be compared to your typical New York Off Broadway theaters. I'm not sure what other events or plays are held at this venue, but I'm glad it exists in our community.

Tonight they had a DJ playing and from Thursday through Saturday they have live jazz music. This seem like a fun place only if we were here on one of their busier night. Nonetheless they had great music tonight and we enjoy a good cocktail drink.
