From the moment we arrived, everything felt welcoming, organized, and most importantly safe and fun for the children. A special thank you to Matt, the manager, who went above and beyond to make sure our party ran smoothly. His kindness, attention to detail, and genuine care for the families there really stood out. The entire staff was patient, friendly, and incredibly helpful with the kids. The children had an amazing time bowling--there was laughter, excitement, and so many happy little faces. It was the perfect place for a group of energetic five-year-olds to celebrate and enjoy themselves. We were also pleasantly surprised and so happy to learn that the Saturday morning kids programs will continue. That's such a gift for families in the community who are looking for a fun, positive place for children to gather and play. Thank you again to Matt and the wonderful team at Pinstripes for helping create beautiful memories for my grandson's birthday. We will absolutely be back!

Service was attentive without hovering, and the timing worked perfectly for getting to the show relaxed and happy (always the real test). I really look forward to every single visit. AMBIANCE: At book club we call the ambiance dark academia. The space is grandeur, dim and illuminated by candlelight. There are dramatic mirrors, a tree, and fascinating book decor. It's an unmatched experience and you feel transported to the place of absolute peace. It feels like dining at some grand mansion. Inside you'll find tasteful and too comfortable velvet furniture, upscale booths and tables. TYPICAL GUESTS: Most guests are couples dining in the incredibly intimate and romantic atmosphere. It's a wonderful date spot because due to the lack of windows and dim atmosphere you really feel immersed into your dining partner and conversation. I personally love coming here solo, ordering a fancy dinner, and having a ball during candlelit dinner. When I arrive with the book club, I am always amazed by how seamlessly we are accommodated and meticulously catered to. FOOD/DRINKS: I really enjoy exploring Bartleby menu and never get bored. I get bored very easily so it's shocking this restaurant is still getting me so excited. My favorite dish is Roasted Chicken with corn puree, asparagus, and rosemary jus ($29). The chicken serving is very generous. It's so delicious and hearty. Bartleby Burger with angus beef is my second favorite. It's one of the best burgers in the city. By now I tried most food on the menu. During book club most gals love to order pizza. Financiers were my loves on the menu. They seem to be discontinued now, so next I'll try Pavlova. Drinks here are truly refined. Every cocktail is prepared with so much skill and out of really high end liquor. I usually order specials provided to the book club, seldom explore the drink menu. Cocktails are priced at $16 and are well worth it. I also sometimes order hot tea, arrive with the book, and get lost in the ambiance. SERVICE: The service is top notch. I'm always amazed at how the restaurant can quickly serve such a huge group when we arrive with the book club. When I dine here solo, I also get shocked at how attentive the experience is. Service staff is very polite and attentive. Host staff always so friendly and welcome. I can't think of a better service experience in Cleveland to be honest. LOCATION: The restaurant is located in Ohio City. There is plenty of street parking in the area. The most convenient parking is at the West Side Market (paid basis). I am very impressed with everything about Bartleby. It's a shining star in the world of hospitality. I was just there last night and already really look forward to my next visit.

We spent most of the time trying to figure things out ourselves and struggled to get assistance whenever we needed it. What made the situation even more frustrating was discovering that we were automatically charged a 20% service fee. For what, exactly? A service charge is supposed to reflect actual service provided, but we received little to none. Charging customers an automatic gratuity while failing to provide the level of service it implies is incredibly disappointing. When we brought our concerns to the manager, Maria, instead of taking responsibility or trying to make things right, she explained that one of her employees had called off. While I understand that staffing issues happen, that's an internal management problem--not the customer's responsibility. We still paid the full price for the party, including the mandatory 20% service charge. If customers are expected to pay full price regardless of staffing shortages, then the business should still be expected to provide the level of service those charges are meant to cover. Birthdays are important, especially for young kids. Families spend a lot of money to create lasting memories, and unfortunately, this experience left us feeling frustrated rather than celebrated. I hope RollHouse takes customer concerns more seriously in the future, reevaluates its automatic service fee policy, and ensures managers take accountability instead of offering excuses. Based on this experience, I can't recommend booking a birthday party here.

Most "speakeasies" I have visited in the US are pretty obvious (like someone sitting in a chair, directing you to a set of stairs behind them to enter the "speakeasy"), but with the entrance to this one tucked away behind a place with live music and food, it had more of an authentic feel. The friend with me that night even questioned if we were in the right place as I strolled to the back of the restaurant and walked up to the girl seated at a podium. "Excuse me, but is this the way to the foundation room?" I asked her. She affirmed, and we were soon on our way up an elevator. When we got to the second floor, we were promptly greeted by a host, Julius, who showed us around. The decor is sumptuous, a blend of Moroccan, Indian, and Jacobean flair. After checking out a room with relics from an Indian temple and looking at the rooftop (with an Instagram-worthy floral wall), we decided to grab a cozy spot near the bar and ordered a drink.
