On Monday it was bowling and on Sunday it was hookah and drinks. Taste/Textures:3.5/5 I deducted points because on Monday the catfish sides (greens and mac) were a little too salt forward for me. On Sunday around 3 PM I couldn't even order food because they said the kitchen was backed up. Value: 5/5 I attended this restaurant twice in one week. I was visiting for work and tried out some food on Monday and then came in for Sunday brunch. Monday I paid $35 for a hookah and maybe $30 for a fish meal and $5 shot. Sunday they stuck to their word, and I received a complimentary welcome shot, good vibes, and a complementary hookah. Music was also a great both times. The playlist on Monday and the DJ on Sunday

Pickwick & Frolic Restaurant & Club in downtown Cleveland delivers a full night out under one roof. The main dining room feels warm and theatrical, with a lively atmosphere that fits the venue's mix of dinner, drinks, and entertainment. The menu offers well‑executed American dishes, and the portions are generous. The cocktail list is creative, and the bar staff knows how to make a solid drink. We ordered: -Lobster Bisque Soup -Crab Cakes -Chicken Piccata The food and our drinks were amazing! The service was also great! We didn't partake in any of the event/shows, but here is a general overview. Upstairs, the comedy club is the highlight--intimate, well-run, and always hosting strong performers. Downstairs, the lounge and cabaret-style spaces add even more options if you want to keep the night going. It's one of downtown Cleveland's most unique spots for a fun night out. I highly recommend you check this place out.

Stood around the front desk area for 10 mins where not one employee came to greet us or help us. I walked all around the facility until I got to the bar and was helped by another gentleman, who was able to find someone in the back to come to the front. We witnessed a mother and son angrily walk out because they couldn't find anyone in the arcade area to redeem for prizes. After booking, we were told we had to wait 15-20 mins because there was no one working that area until 3 pm. The frustrating part was that I called the day before to ask about bringing a group in and was told we could come anytime because there were no reservations scheduled. It would have been helpful to know that the facility was understaffed and that the laser tag area would not be staffed until later in the day. Our group spent a significant amount of time waiting, which felt like a poor use of the time we had set aside for the event. For an establishment that's known for hosting team building activities in the heart of Solon, I was honestly disappointed in our experience.

Bartleby occupies the historic United Bank Building (former home of the Crop Bistro). I have been…read morefrequenting Bartleby for the last year for book club meetings, silent readings, and DJ sets. I really look forward to every single visit. AMBIANCE: At book club we call the ambiance dark academia. The space is grandeur, dim and illuminated by candlelight. There are dramatic mirrors, a tree, and fascinating book decor. It's an unmatched experience and you feel transported to the place of absolute peace. It feels like dining at some grand mansion. Inside you'll find tasteful and too comfortable velvet furniture, upscale booths and tables. TYPICAL GUESTS: Most guests are couples dining in the incredibly intimate and romantic atmosphere. It's a wonderful date spot because due to the lack of windows and dim atmosphere you really feel immersed into your dining partner and conversation. I personally love coming here solo, ordering a fancy dinner, and having a ball during candlelit dinner. When I arrive with the book club, I am always amazed by how seamlessly we are accommodated and meticulously catered to. FOOD/DRINKS: I really enjoy exploring Bartleby menu and never get bored. I get bored very easily so it's shocking this restaurant is still getting me so excited. My favorite dish is Roasted Chicken with corn puree, asparagus, and rosemary jus ($29). The chicken serving is very generous. It's so delicious and hearty. Bartleby Burger with angus beef is my second favorite. It's one of the best burgers in the city. By now I tried most food on the menu. During book club most gals love to order pizza. Financiers were my loves on the menu. They seem to be discontinued now, so next I'll try Pavlova. Drinks here are truly refined. Every cocktail is prepared with so much skill and out of really high end liquor. I usually order specials provided to the book club, seldom explore the drink menu. Cocktails are priced at $16 and are well worth it. I also sometimes order hot tea, arrive with the book, and get lost in the ambiance. SERVICE: The service is top notch. I'm always amazed at how the restaurant can quickly serve such a huge group when we arrive with the book club. When I dine here solo, I also get shocked at how attentive the experience is. Service staff is very polite and attentive. Host staff always so friendly and welcome. I can't think of a better service experience in Cleveland to be honest. LOCATION: The restaurant is located in Ohio City. There is plenty of street parking in the area. The most convenient parking is at the West Side Market (paid basis). I am very impressed with everything about Bartleby. It's a shining star in the world of hospitality. I was just there last night and already really look forward to my next visit.

I was able to visit in a recent trip to the city and would recommend it to those going for a visit as well. Located in the House of Blues, you'll have to enter through the 4th strewn door and head straight to the back. Most "speakeasies" I have visited in the US are pretty obvious (like someone sitting in a chair, directing you to a set of stairs behind them to enter the "speakeasy"), but with the entrance to this one tucked away behind a place with live music and food, it had more of an authentic feel. The friend with me that night even questioned if we were in the right place as I strolled to the back of the restaurant and walked up to the girl seated at a podium. "Excuse me, but is this the way to the foundation room?" I asked her. She affirmed, and we were soon on our way up an elevator. When we got to the second floor, we were promptly greeted by a host, Julius, who showed us around. The decor is sumptuous, a blend of Moroccan, Indian, and Jacobean flair. After checking out a room with relics from an Indian temple and looking at the rooftop (with an Instagram-worthy floral wall), we decided to grab a cozy spot near the bar and ordered a drink. As we sipped on our Old Fashioneds, Julius came by to check on us, and we watched the place fill up with an array of people in a festive mood. It was a lovely way to end a night in Cleveland, and a place I highly recommend that you check out when you're in the area!
