When she finally approached, I politely mentioned that other guests seated after us already had coffee and said it was unfortunate. Instead of responding professionally or apologetically, she took an attitude toward it, which made the interaction uncomfortable. The situation could and should have been handled much better with simple acknowledgment and courtesy. After that exchange, she walked over to another waiter to complain about or discuss the situation, but stopped when she noticed I was watching. Our total bill was $92, and although I thought about tipping 2¢, I still tipped $9 (10%) because we did manage to have a good time and the food itself was good. That said, had the service been more professional, she would have easily received a minimum $30 tip. As we were walking out, someone walking in asked if the food was good, and I told them yes and even recommended the deluxe biscuits and gravy. The food is delicious. Can't lie about that.
