Music was a vibe as I remember walking in hearing Bob Marley "Three Little Birds" and then Stevie Wonder "Ribbon in the Sky." Yup! Already hooked lol the guy at the register (I wanna say he's the owner) was so kind. Gave great suggestions. I specifically got the chocolate chip muffin because he said he has one everyday lol I haven't tried it but I don't doubt it's good! My husband got a strawberry shortcake donut which was delish! In which they let me know it's from another business but I forgot the name, however, really good donut. For our drinks, I got an iced pumpkin latte and my husband got a honey maple latte. Both were perfect. Generous amount and perfect sweetness! So there's a really cute library in the back that catches my attention. I immediately go there as we wait for our order and picked out a book that I immediately start to read. As I'm reading, the owner (wife of the guy I believe I met at the counter) says I can keep the book! Excuse me what?! I was so happy lol what a gem of a coffee shop. I'll be back to enjoy their other menu items as they also have warm breakfast items etc. Lastly, they also own Local Pie which is right next to it and it's also delish! Didn't even know it until I asked because the guy at the counter (so sorry I don't know his name) had a shirt on that said Local Pie. Anyway, go to both! You won't regret it.

Magic City Perks is a great spot to grab a drink, bite, or work from in Kendall…read more I typically work from the Starbucks in the London Square plaza but decided to work from a new spot and this place was recommended to me. There's parking in the lot both in front of and behind the business. I parked behind and didn't even know it until walking into Magic City Perks. This spot is super spacious with plenty of lighting and seating. The menu has a lot of drink options to choose from and even has some bites and baked goods. During my last visit, I was intrigued by their Fall specials and at first ordered a matcha lavender latte but after placing my order, I saw that they had pistachio matcha so I had to change it. They were super nice about accommodating my updated order and the staff was super friendly. If you know me, I'm a sucker for pistachio matcha and most places only have it as a seasonal special so I HAD to get it. It did not disappoint! I honestly can't wait to come back here just to get it again. With plenty of seating and outlets inside, this spot is a great place to remote work from! Overall such a hidden gem in Kendall.

I had been wanting to try this cafe and realized I was nearby one day and would give it a try. I…read morehave mixed thoughts, so I'll start with the best thing. The food was actually amazing, especially for a casual cafe environment. I had the loaded avocado toast which came with two slices toast with creamy avocado spread across it, cherry tomatoes, a sprinkle of feta cheese, a balsamic vinegar sauce. For my daughter I ordered the waffles with berries. This was slightly smaller than I expected but delicious. So sugary and flavorful. And I had a honey cinnamon latte which I also felt was full of flavor and had lots of cinnamon (I've had this in other places where I felt the flavor and cinnamon were lacking). That being said, it took 24 minutes to get our food which I think is a bit excessive for this environment. There was only one girl working when we were there and lots of people. Also, the bill for all that (plus an apple juice) was $53 and change including tip! (I paid that same amount recently at a cute sit down restaurant where the meal was big enough to have plenty of leftovers). The ambiance had a clean, minimalist aesthetic with pretty decor pieces. It was very quiet too... about halfway through my visit, they turned on some music, but it was still a quiet, calm environment with the music. I prefer a busier, fun type of vibe, but for those who are looking for something very serene and calm this would be an ideal place to relax or get some work done as long as you're willing to wait for your food!

The staff was friendly and polite. I ordered the ham and cheese cachito, and oh my goodness... it instantly took me back to the ones I used to eat as a kid in school in Venezuela. The size was perfect, the flavor was spot on, and even though it was a little greasy, it was absolutely delicious. The atmosphere is nothing fancy, just a normal bakery vibe, but I didn't care. The cachito was that good. I didn't try anything else, so I can't speak for the rest of the menu, but for the cachitos alone, I'd happily drive from Miami Lakes all the way to Kendall again. Solid 9.8/10. If you're looking for an authentic Venezuelan cachito experience, this is the place. Highly recommend!

Well a coworker happily bumped into this place a couple of days ago and shared a Colombian empanada with us. It was delicious. It was crispy, meat flavored just right and the sauce made it all just devine! Come the next day were all ordering from here. They have delivery available so it made the deal even sweeter. There are so many options available. They have ,breakfast, lunch, daily specials, fresh juices and other drinks and let's not forget the delicious arepa sandwiches. I had a real light lunch planned for today so I went with a heavy breakfast. I chose the La Guera (chicken stew and cheese) arepa. The stuffed chicken breast came sliced with onions and green peppers and loaded with melted cheese. Amazingly the arepa stayed crunchy on the outside and yummy on the inside. It was very satisfying and fulfilling. I am ready to take on my day now! Make sure to check out their daily specials too. They have full plates for under $7! Trust me it's all worth it!
