My wife might have rated it closer to three stars because she felt her food was just okay, but as for me, I thought the experience was excellent, and I'm still happily giving it five. The food I had was incredible. I had the Omelette with mushrooms and it was delicious It had that good, comforting, homemade kind of taste that you hope for when you walk into a local mom-and-pop restaurant. It felt like real food made with care, not something rushed or bland. I genuinely enjoyed my meal and left feeling very satisfied. My wife had the sausage and gravy over biscuitts and she says it was too much pepper and not enough sausage. when she gave me a bite I thought it was fine. but we're all individuals and we all have our own tastebuds and opinions.... so yeah. The service was also really nice. The staff checked on us regularly without being overbearing, made sure we had what we needed, and kept our glasses full the whole time. That kind of attentiveness matters, and it made the meal feel relaxed and welcoming. The atmosphere was cozy, comfortable, and exactly what a small-town restaurant should feel like. It had that warm, down-to-earth mom-and-pop shop charm where you can sit, enjoy your food, and feel at home. Nothing felt flashy or fake -- just comfortable, friendly, and real. Even though my wife and I had slightly different opinions about the food, I personally had a great experience. Between the food, the service, and the cozy atmosphere, I would definitely come back. Chat n Chew is a great local spot, and I'm glad we stopped in. Five stars from me.

They are my neighborhood McDonald's and have stepped up a lot and are getting to be more friendly. Also the one on South St sucks. The ice cream machine is always working all night!
