This is an "original " sandwich. Where's the meat? Horrible waste of money and misrepresentation…read more None of the advertised photos skew a lean sandwich. The person who waited on us at the counter had was perspiring profusely and her teeth were gross. It was apparently she had not brushed her teeth in a long time. Had to pray she was not preparing the sandwich.

A Truly Wonderful Experience at McAlister's…read more From the moment I walked through the door, I knew I was in for something special. McAlister's has a way of making you feel right at home -- not just because of the friendly faces behind the counter, but because of the calm, welcoming atmosphere that greets you as soon as you step inside. The lighting is just perfect -- not too bright, not too dim -- exactly what these tired old eyes appreciate after a long day. It gives the place a warm, inviting glow that makes you want to sit down, take your time, and truly enjoy your meal. Now, let's talk about the food -- because that's where McAlister's really shines. I ordered a sub, and let me tell you, it was absolutely delicious. Every bite was full of flavor, fresh ingredients, and just the right balance of textures. You can tell they take pride in what they serve. The bread was perfectly toasted, the meats and cheeses were fresh, and the condiments complemented the sandwich beautifully without overpowering it. It's the kind of sub that reminds you what a real sandwich should taste like -- hearty, satisfying, and made with care. What really stood out to me, though, was how much McAlister's seems to understand what the customer wants. They've mastered that balance between quality food and thoughtful service. The staff were attentive without being intrusive, and they genuinely seemed happy to make sure everything was just right. You can tell this isn't just another restaurant to them -- they care about the people who walk in the door. And if you've never tried more of their menu, you're missing out. Everything I've had from McAlister's -- from their soups to their salads, sandwiches, and of course their famous sweet tea -- has been consistently delicious. It's rare to find a place where everything on the menu tastes this good, but McAlister's really delivers. All in all, it's the perfect place to unwind, enjoy a great meal, and feel taken care of. I'll definitely be back soon -- because McAlister's doesn't just serve food, they serve comfort, quality, and genuine hospitality.

I ordered a Gyro omelette and it was very good. But the really amazing thing was the Samoa coffee…read morefrappe. It tasted exactly like a Girl Scout Samoa cookie!

Yikes! Was excited…read moreto come here after hearing good things, but I don't have much good to say after my own visit. There was nobody to greet you upon entering. Stood there for a good 15 seconds looking around receiving no assistance before assuming we were to seat ourselves. Menus were hidden behind a TV screen and signs said you were to order at the counter. Signs aren't a placeholder for human interaction. I would hate for anyone else to also come here their first time and have the same experience. Sat down at a table while browsing the menu, still nobody had interacted. Staff had non-existent personality when ordering, she honestly made it seem like we were an inconvenience. My sister asked for extra pickles (plural), on the side and was charged 75¢ for 1 extra pickle spear. The best part is when the food was brought over and the plate was set down, that extra pickle rolled right onto the table. The server half laughed/apologized, looked at us for a moment as the poor pickle was picked up, and out came "do you want me to bring you another one?". Blew us away! Would you want to eat a table pickle? Very bizarre, didn't even feel like a real interaction! Context clues & critical thinking are key. Lack of quality service and mediocre food is disappointing. Pros: My espresso with vanilla sweet cream was fantastic. Fruit was fresh. Leaving the establishment. Cons: My Nutella french toast was bland/dry although it looked pretty. Sandwiches ordered by my 2 lunchmates were described as "okay" and "nothing special". Staff may drop your pickle that you had to pay extra for & expect you to eat it.
