Jennifer has an eye for scale, color synergy, and detail - every piece she suggested was perfect for the space. The home is an open concept and everything flows from one room to the next. She also hit the mark on style, comfort, and functionality with fabric choices that are extremely durable. Additional strengths are her flexibility and excellent customer service. She worked around our schedule and at our pace which was extremely hectic and inconsistent with the relocation. She prepared several choices, communicated concepts electronically, and supported us on the weekends I was in town. Review for Sheila Botke, Avalon Interior Designs…read more March 2014 By Stephanie T., retired teacher I bought my 1955 "mid-century modern" house in SE last July, and immediately began a lot of much-needed updating and remodeling. A few weeks later, when I was about to decide on my paint colors, an acquaintance suggested I might want to meet with a really good interior designer he knew named Sheila Botke - just for a short consultation. I kept putting off calling her. I guess I was feeling a little bit nervous and intimidated since I'd never worked with a designer before. I just couldn't imagine myself flipping through books of brocade fabric swatches with a designer -- choking at prices I would never be able to afford. Well, happily, it turned out that my fears were unfounded. I ended up feeling totally at ease with Sheila and actually having a really good time with her. She's not only exceptionally good at what she does, but she's also just a super sweet person who's a lot of fun to be around. She has a wide variety of resources to draw from. She can show you beautiful samples of anything you're needing, from blinds and curtains, to rugs and paint colors. I loved the interesting "outside the box" ideas and samples she came up with. Very creative and cool! She knows all the great retail and wholesale sources as well, and will shop with you for tile, lighting, couches... whatever you need. Having a designer that's well-connected in the trade community is a big plus. I used her hardwood floor guy and her painter and can't say enough about the quality of their work. Nothing fell through the cracks, thanks to Sheila's diligence. She had my back the entire time my remodel was going on -- catching others' mistakes and putting out small fires before they turned into real issues. She made time for me no matter how hectic her schedule was, always making sure I had what I need when I needed it! Wow. Pretty impressive. Knowledgeable about code as well as colors, she has a discerning eye for detail. I just can't imagine finding a better designer than Sheila. She's a natural at what she does. She's got the gift of being able to look at a space, indoors or out, and know just how to transform it into something that REALLY works. I call it Sheila Magic. ;-) Totally professional, extremely knowledgeable, and a real joy to work with...that's Sheila. Don't hesitate to call her and see for yourself.

Having…read morerecently gotten through two stressful renovation projects on my other home, I did not relish the thought of beginning another one and, after losing my spouse to illness earlier in the year, I was already in a rough place. All this to say, I started my search for a designer with a dream for my space, but also with a heavy heart and a substantial amount of dread. I discovered Space Reimagined through a Google search and was immediately drawn to the professionalism of the website and the beautiful project photos. Jackie returned my call to inquire the same day, and put me at east right away with her friendliness, competence, and confidence. After a lovely a phone conversation, followed by a visit to my home to tour the space, I knew in my heart that I'd lucked into something wonderful. From literally day one through the final walk-through, Jackie made me feel completely taken care of. Her knowledge of the industry, exemplary taste, and deep commitment to my comfort with every decision never wavered. She truly listened to me, spent countless hours talking me through each step, and continuously impressed me with her ability to keep straight the countless details a full-house remodel entails. Jackie's communication skills are exemplary. She provided me with updates almost every day and held fast to the timeline she set early on. Throughout the several months we worked together, there was never a challenge that arose that Jackie wasn't right on top of. Projects of this size inevitably have their twists and turns, but Jackie was always one step ahead with a solution (sometimes more than one!) Throughout the project, Jackie remained incredibly accessible. She made time for my questions and ensured that I had I had all the information needed to inform each decision. I could go on and on, but the end result is that I am overjoyed with my newly remodeled home and truly feel that discovering Space Reimagined was the best thing to happen to me in 2023. I would recommend Jackie without reservation to anyone considering a project of any size, and (almost) feel sad my home is complete, because it means my time with Jackie is over! If you are remotely on the fence with the decision of who to go with for your home, let this be your sign. Jackie is wonderful, and I can not sing her praises highly enough. They explained it was likely due to them not being familiar with the home. And also said the dust bunnies left under the middle of the dining room table were likely stuck to the chair legs. (But they were literally in the middle of the floor under the table). They did offer to come back and reclean a couple days later but that didn't work in my schedule so I just cleaned it myself. I sent photos of the missed areas to be clear about what was missed. I was told open feedback was welcome. They were supposed to come back and clean monthly. A couple days after I confirm scheduling for their next cleaning (yes I was willing to give it another chance) I get an email that they won't be returning as we aren't a fit. The complaint included that I was unable to get on the phone and talk to them (I'm on the phone all day with work so couldn't answer when they called so provided everything to them in text message). -and that they were frustrated I cleaned the areas myself rather than having them come back at an inconvenient time for me. I didn't ask for any of my money back from the deep clean and was willing to have them back to try regular cleaning. Go ahead and give them a try but when they miss areas be prepared that they will just cancel you rather than taking the feedback and improving. Very unprofessional.
