We just learned about this business, and we are SO GLAD we did! We had two Levolor venetian blinds that had broken strings, so we took them here. This is EXACTLY what they fix! They fixed both blinds in 1 week and they work as good as new! Blinds are very expensive today, so repairing is an easy choice. The quality of their work and the value for the work done was fantastic! And the owners are very nice! read more

These folks are amazing. Super fast and friendly and work done right the first time. They restrung our 40 year old high end pleated blinds in a couple of days saving us hundreds in replacement costs. Thank you Allison, Erin, and the whole Shadeworx crew! read more

They made repairing a shade broken for years so simple - just a drop off and pick-up less than 1 week later. The cost was very reasonable. The energy in the shop was so positive. I highly recommend! read more

The owners here are so awesome. Came here twice to get my blinds restrung. They get it done FAST... I mean FAST!! Very cool people here, personable, and they remember you!! The finished product is top notch, it is almost like I got a brand new one back! read more

We had two pleated shade blinds that needed repair. The staff at ShadewoRx are nice to work with and the job was done ahead of time to our satisfaction read more

One day one of my Graber honeycomb shades was not properly raising or lowering as it should. I connected with Alison who confirmed that, yes, they service Graber products. Alison also provided me with a very reasonable estimate to restring the shade, if necessary, at the same time. I then couldn't figure out how to remove the shade from its brackets. Once again Alison came through with easy-to-follow instructions. Brought the shade in and within minutes Jason had hung the shade and discovered that there was a knot in one of the cords - it was done within 5 minutes. When I attempted to pay for the work, my payment was refused as it was a very easy fix. I would highly recommend anyone and everyone who has shades or blinds that need repair or maintenance, to definitely contact ShadeworRx. read more

Do you have shade blues? I had two Duette Honeycomb Applause LiteRise shades that were not working. One had top-down, bottom-up functionality but only for the top third of the window, and the second did not have any bottom-up functionality. Both were fixed by the next day! This organization is a friendly family operation, and I highly recommend them. read more

During COVID I had two honeycomb blinds that needed repair, one due to neglect from the previous homeowner, and one due to my damn cats chewing the internal cord and external pull cord. I spoke to Allison over the phone and via email. She was very pleasant and walked me through the process on how the blinds would be repaired and how pricing works. The repair for both blinds (internal cords and new external pull cords) was $80. Some internal components were upgraded as well. The repair took 2 weeks as quoted. About a month later my cats struck again, chewing through the internal pull cord of one of the blinds. Technically I don't know which cat was the culprit, but they both looked damn guilty. (See photo...can you spot the guilty one?) When I returned to ShadeWoRX, Allison only charged me half ($20) for the repair due to the nature of the issue and that I was there less than a month ago. In fact, they have a wall with photos of customer's cats and the cost of damage each furry friend caused. LOL! Thank you Allison and team, you have all my future business. I highly recommend ShadeWoRX for any and all windows blind repair. Photos: Repaired honeycomb blinds and the two furry culprits. read more

Unbelievably friendly. Super service oriented and reliable. Went here for my first time and I will be back. The people where knowledgeable, and took less than a week. Located in a little shop in Beaverton. read more

Awesome service, very reasonable and speedy. We are referring and will return when needed.

I purchased less than $10 dollars of blind parts. The gentleman working there took no less than 15 minutes to carefully show me how to use these parts. By the courtesy and genuine concern he showed me, one would think I bought thousand of dollars with of blinds! Kind, professional, extremely knowledgeable about the products ... I was impressed! read more

Allison, at ShadewoRx, recommended Portland Window Coverings to replace a Hunter Douglas shade under warranty and stayed with us every step of the process. ShadewoRx is NOT a retailer, but a shade repair shop, therefore, she/they had nothing to gain from the transaction except pride in wonderful customer service. Thank you, Allison! read more

Shadx Worx is incredible! The people are very knowledgeable and they're incredibly friendly, helpful, professional and an absolute joy to work with. I highly recommend them! read more

They expertly fixed a blind vs. Me having to replace it. The strings were broken and they repaired them.

I had a very expensive blind where the cord snapped and needed to be replaced. The blind would cost $1500 to $2000 to replace it. I was elated when they told me it was $40 to fix, hooray! Excellent craftsmanship, blind is as good as new. The owner was very kind, helpful and very personable. I would definitely recommend this company. Thank you for your excellence in service and craftsmanship. read more

First time dealing with this company. They are the perfect professionals! Friendly, efficient and quality work. They set an expectation for when my blind would be repaired and then exceeded it. Also gave me perfect instructions on how to unwrap and reinstall without damaging the cords and eliminate issues when lowing the repaired blind for the first time. In addition to all this, their prices are more than fair. Highly recommend this place. They are wonderful! read more

This place will take you back 50 years to a time when excellent work and satisfying customers was the goal of most businesses. The friendly owners at ShadewoRx went out of their way after hours to accommodate a tangled blind emergency, welcomed me to watch them work in their impressive and interesting shop, and charged a very fair price. I only wish they were closer and made house calls, as I needed help taking down a 7' honeycomb blind and transporting it across town. But I would not consider going anywhere else. Don't shop around; Portland is lucky to have them! read more

I would give this establishment more stars if I could. Let's start with the employees who work here. I was greeted by Erin, she is the friendliest person I've ever met. Super helpful. I had a couple of blinds that weren't working, the cords were tangled. They had it fixed in one day. Also, very reasonably priced. Everyone who works here is beyond nice and so very helpful. read more

This place is a serious gem. We've been fixing various things around our new-to-us home and ShadewoRx has been by far the best company that we've worked with. They are masters of their craft and some of the nicest people ever. On top of that, their pricing is super transparent and fair. We brought in 3 sets of blinds that were completely non-functional and now they all feel good as new! Highly recommend to anyone in need of window covering repair. read more

Shadeworx was very prompt in restringing a set of blinds for us. Additionally, the staff was very courteous and friendly.

These guys are fantastic!! Once we found them we would never go anywhere else. Great service, fair prices. Love working with them and supporting this local business. read more

Recently, my Levolar blind (the dual-direction cellular type) stopped working properly. I couldn't lift it from the bottom and the wires were pooling at the top instead of automatically drawing in. I looked at youtube videos to see if I could resolve this myself and they looked like such a PITA that I decided to reach out to the professionals. I popped the blind out and took it over to ShadewoRx. They were hands down AWESOME! Not only did they get it fixed in less than 5 minutes, they gave some long-term recommendations, and were also incredibly friendly. Like out-of-their-way-we-really-care friendly. They were obviously knowledgeable about the product and noticed that my new-ish model incorporated some older and new technologies in terms of the quality of wire (way better) some of the metal components (previously plastic), and also got rid of some unnecessary parts -- it works great now. I was so impressed that they've gained a customer for life (since all of my blinds are the same model) and I already recommended them to my partner who has the same blinds, too. They are great -- highly recommend! read more

I have used this business twice and have been so impressed with their service, skills and efficiency. Their prices are reasonable. This small company is the way more companies used to be. Impressive. I don't usually write reviews but they deserve it. read more

Wow! These folks are superb! Their quality of work, their positive & professional attitude and super reasonable pricing make ShadewoRx a 100% "Yes". I needed repairs and restringiings on 2 big blinds and 1 small one - and they did a SUPER job. Big thanks to all folks at ShadewoRx on SW Scholls Ferry Road! read more

Shadeworx consistently does great work, and their customer service is fantastic. I've been there multiple times to have different accordion blinds in my house fixed. I tried to go to a place closer to where I live in NE, but that turned out to be a nightmare. So I will always make the trip to SW Portland for Shadeworx from now on! read more

Honest folks who know their stuff. I called about 3 Hunter Douglas blinds which were not working. They were able to tell me what the issue was and how to take them down. They also gave me an estimate through the phone which ended up very accurate. They were quick and even gave me some extra hooks to reinstall the blinds. I was able to restore the blinds and save money. I love that I didn't have to throw them out. Can't recommend this business enough. read more

Time for my annual lone Yelp review! This one was eeeeeeasy. As a newly minted solo homeowner (I've owned homes, with another, in the past) you're always discovering neat, fun, inconvenient things that need attention. My new place has windows. A lot of windows. There are a variety of blinds and blind styles throughout, one of which is the kind that opens from both the top or bottom, depending on what you want. Well, in the master bedroom on one wall, one of the blinds has drawstrings that allow you to draw the blind up or pull it down. COOL, huh? Yeah, until you realize that the cords that compose the drawstrings are attached/bundled by this janky little connector that seemingly lets loose of one or more of them at the time of its choosing. I lost one, to the point where it got sucked up into the opening at the top of the blind fixture. Some trips around YouTube later I discover that you CAN take the assembly off and reconstruct it yourself. Super. Probably a couple hours worth of work there. A few calls later and I discovered Shadeworx. These guys are dedicated solely, as near as I can tell, to repair jobs such as mine. A phone call later and I was on my way down. Everyone there is friendly and knowledgeable. I learned a ton. I also learned that they're BUSY! They claimed to receive about 50 (that's fifty) sets of blinds EACH DAY. For my job, which was pretty straight-forward, they turned it around in about 8 business days. Actually... they improved on the original construction. The new connector is much more sturdy and a lot less prone to losing one or more of the drawstring cords. Finally... the cost was $40 total for the repair. Certainly better than the $100+ that a new set of blinds would have cost. I can't recommend these guys enough. read more

What an amazing experience from start to finish. I wish every business operated this way. They were fast to respond, very friendly and informative, did most work under warranty and had it ready for pick up the next day. The total cost was only $15 for a filing fee to Hunter Douglas for four blinds. If you have a blind issue that's been nagging you, pick up the phone and call these people today. read more

I was repairing a Hunter Douglas EasyRise cellular blind. All the employees were so friendly and helpful! I was replacing the lift tape (some say strings) for the blinds and they had all the parts needed and gave some excellent caution and advice. I highly recommend if you are a do it yourself kind or want them to repair! Thank you! read more

It is rare to find a business that is such a pleasure to work with as this company. When you walk in you are greeted by Erin with a big smile and warm welcome. They do a great job for a fair price and best of all you leave feeling better than when you walked in. It goes to show that friendly, reliable service is the key to a successful business. Frija place should have even mor Ethan 5 stars! The customer service is spectacular! I went to the store three times and got amazing customer services and even got trained on how to fix few things on my own, when having issues with my blinds. What an amazing experience!! After reaching too high to clean the top slat on my blinds, the string snapped and the whole contraption slid on an angle. As my room is in the front of the house with streetlights that stream in my window, I wanted to fix these as soon as possible. I walked in the store and was immediately greeted by a wonderful smiling team who assessed the damage and fixed the problem for me right there and then; no waiting and no having to come back to pick them up! I highly recommend this business. They brightened my day and restored my faith in humanity. read more

Excellent blind repair service. We brought our large blind in for repair. It was not functioning at all. They completely repaired the blind in 2 days. After we reinstalled it, it was equivalent to a new blind. Their workmanship was outstanding. And the price of $90 was reasonable. read more

We are so pleased with ShadeWorx. We had a large 30 year old Hunter Douglas douette blind that needed repaired. ShadeWorx did such a fine job and did it while we did some shopping so we didn't have to make a trip back 50 miles to pick it up. We are so pleased with their pleasant, helpful and professional service. I can't imagine going anywhere else, in spite of the drive. I'd give them more stars if I could. Did I say it was also very reasonably priced as well? Thank you ShadeWorx. read more

Wow. What Great service. This is my second time in to get a cellular shade fixed. Both times the cord Broke and needed replacement. Alison helped me and she could not have been more friendly and accommodating. I came in on a Thursday afternoon. The sign on the door was that they were closing for the week of spring break. I figured it would be a couple weeks to get it back. This was kinda a bummer for me as this was a large shade that we needed for privacy. So, Alison understood and said she would get it done by noon the next day. I got a call Thursday at 4:30 telling me it was done. That was such a great call to get. They fixed it within 3 hours. This I am sure is not normal or to be expected, but boy do I appreciate it. In addition to fixing the cord, they replace a couple other parts at no additional charge that looked to be wearing out. I think this is just extra service they do because they also did it on the first blind I brought in. They do warranty repairs on Hunter Douglas, unfortunately mine were outside warranty. Don't think twice if you are looking for a place for repairs. Shadeworx is a no brainer you can trust. read more
