But I never really remembered the name of the place or if it was still there so I was thrilled today when I realized THIS was the place! The same dear woman is there after allll these years & she's adorable & hospitable & they still have the chocolate covered honeycomb bars! I WILL be back for more of those plus to check out other lovely things. :-)

The motif seems to be more along the lines of Parisien, country French, country cottage, and a little contemporary, all the while spread out in a color-coordinated fashion. They have some exquisitve greeting cards, fancy paper napkins and guest towelettes, serving pieces, candles, baby items, things for teens, and of course, adults. It is all very elegantly displayed, especially a room in the back where it's like walking into a patisserie. In fact, everything looked so real, I forgot I was in a gift shop, and MOST of the items were just for show.......I had to really study them. That being said, there were some very edible candies and confections, but I didn't buy any. They looked good, though. Displays can be so inviting, and these did not disappoint.......anywhere in the store. If I had any criticism, it'd be that the aisles are a tad bit too narrow. I was nervous walking through there. The other downer is that they are pricey, and while they have some very elegant and unique items, it's just not something my budget can afford.......well, at least, not today. I'd definitely go back for another look-see.

The ladies working here are very nice and helpful in navigating the shelves of ribbons, stickers, and the prettiest designer papers. I've also bought a few of their easy little cardboard book packages to take to craft weekends which have always looked great crafted. I went in today to buy some embossing powder. I asked the staff member as soon as I walked in and she admitted they didn't have much as it isn't a popular craft now. (None of the big box craft stores, Walmart or Graphaids had any at all). We found a couple of powders in the discount sale area and luckily one was just the green I was looking for. I had also wanted a pink too but there was none left. The staff member then went over to their own personal store supplies and found a pink and gave it to me at no charge as she "would prefer it be used than stored away". So I got 2 embossing powders for $1.71! I was tickled pink as I can now finish my project without waiting for an online purchase to arrive. I received excellent customer service, a discount and a freebie....you can't get better than that!

Struggling with how to write this review. I was looking forward to checking out this shop, but…read moreleft feeling disappointed. They are low on stock, and I heard the owner mention to other shoppers that they've had a hard time getting merchandise in from suppliers. Apparently, due to COVID-19, they are back ordered on many items. What they did have was very appealingly displayed, so kudos for that. Many items, like wall art, are larger, so you'd need a sufficient space to devote to them. As befitting bigger pieces, expect prices to go with the size. What didn't go well for me was a lack of greeting or acknowledgement. Both my husband and I felt invisible in the shop. There were other guests browsing, but it felt like only one family was worthy of attention. It was a vibe, actually. I didn't feel welcome, like I had stepped into a party uninvited. I realize that small businesses have been to hell and back over the past year, which is why I hate to write this critique of the experience. It's meant to offer insight into what would make me hesitate to return. I do wish them well, and hope our visit falling flat was just bad luck of the moment.
