Here is my nightmare of renting with this company: Starting out was okay, we knew it wasn't the best place since the floors had sunken in a few spots and everything was coated a thick eggshell white, but we were desperate for a place to live. Soon after moving in, we began to notice some greater issues: inadequate heat that guzzled gas and electricity, ants like no one has ever seen before, water shared with the neighbor that likely wasn't being used with courtesy, and a constant sewer smell. We filed maintenance requests for all of these to which they would send someone out to 'inspect' the issue and there'd be no resolution. It was just the state of the property. Then there was the 'incident'. Our shower began to shock us while in use. We thought we were crazy to start. But then it got to the point where I lost feeling in my arm from trying to shut the water off. So we submitted a maintenance request and they sent out a team that was there the entire day and couldn't find a resolution. They sent out a new electrician who couldn't figure out the solution. We began to request some sort of accommodation since there was no shower in our unit. They agreed to a per diem discount off the rent for each day we were unable to use the shower. They also agreed to a reimbursement of the previous month rent. They never did. Ultimately, they offered us a way out: break the lease agreement at no penalty to us. It was great except we were mid-semester and didn't know where to go. I share this for two reasons: 1) learn from my mistakes and always consult your renter's insurance. I was overwhelmed and a dumb college student that was just trying to survive my classes. Rely on your insurance. 2) Do not allow property management companies to try and take advantage of you. Recognize that they are a business that at the end of the day, only wants to make money. They do not care for your well-being. Try Strombeck properties or a private landowner for your next rental. Do not rent from Humboldt Property Management

Less than 1 star rating. I live next door to a multiplex that they "manage" . It is a joke…read more Structural damage and water damage probably mold too. They won't spend any money on the property to keep undesirable people from hiding, sleeping ,doing drugs and leaving trash everywhere. It is more like profit management than anything else. If you have the ability to avoid them completely I would.

Mitchell was understanding and did not pressure me to sign the lease. We concluded with him saying Wolfe Management would be happy to continue working with me. April Wolfe failed in her fiduciary duties as my Realtor selling my home. This was the greatest…read morefinancial transaction of my life. Here are the facts. Doing both property management and real estate most likely leads to neglect of one or both of those tasks. I experienced failure of her fiduciary duties as the Broker during the sale of my home. Most Property Management and Realtor companies don't mix the 2 buckets because it may lower the quality and value of their work and may damage their reputation. April Wolfe failed to perform in the following areas of the sale from monitoring critical dates to remove disclosure contingencies to simply not forwarding my email containing the-sewer lateral certificate over to other realtor, so I did it. Her failure to perform resulted in a lost cash backup offer for a greater amount and a very short escrow. The worst and final straw was when she admitted to reading the flawed amendment where I, the seller was to finance my own property with a $400K loan. My husband and I had to write our own amended contract and deal directly with the other realtor to meet deadlines to close escrow. Like she said and the sign on her desk displays 'I'm Busy' April Wolfe was too busy with her 4 other property management tasks that took priority instead of writing the final amendment in a timely manner. After I asked to cancel the contract for failure to perform 1 month before closing she refused to release me. She received almost $17K for conducting low to no quality work as evidenced above. April had no negotiation skills or strategy and admitted to leaving the Odell offer in her inbox 24 hours before she noticed. I experienced unprecedented levels of stress which resulted in multiple sleepless nights, causing boils break outs on my lips, and other problems. Sellers beware she is the sole Broker so when things go sideways you are stuck. We looked at a LOT of houses before finding the right one. Patty was always available (including weekends, holidays, late at night... when does she sleep?) to answer our questions. She knows a LOT of people and service providers in Humboldt, so when we needed a recommendation for a loan officer, she had exactly the right person for us. If you are serious about buying a home, I would recommend Patty - she knows her stuff.

Where to even begin... I am a recently separated older woman making a (let's be honest) scary but…read morenecessary home purchase 4 hours away from my previous home. Patty's that wonderful combination that you hope for but seldom find of tremendous warmth, killer smarts, snappy sense of the absurd, and a very in-depth, precise understanding of her industry. I've been involved in buying and selling of more than 7 homes over the past 30 years, and she was the best agent I've ever had by a large margin. I came to respect her and like her so much I didn't want the sale to end. If you want the best agent, someone who's available to you almost 24/7 (is she crazy???), someone who's very, very connected in the area, tremendously intelligent and aware, with your best interests in mind at all times, then ask her to represent you. It's that simple.
