My 5 year old daughter has been taking classes at the Dance Spot for about 3 weeks now, and absolutely loves all of them. Mr Quinton (the owner of the Dance Spot) teaches two of her classes, and she adores him to pieces. She wants to make him proud. We recently moved here from Michigan, and being new to the area we really didn't know where to go to find a new dance home. We loved our old studio we left, so we had high expectations on what we were looking for here. After calling several studios within the area and only receiving a few phone calls back, I called the Dance Spot, and spoke directly to the owner. (Early in the morning I might add). I found it refreshing to be able to speak directly to the person in charge rather than an office staffer. After speaking to Mr Quinton I was impressed with his background and his studio, and was thrilled to hear my daughter would get to take 2 of his classes. You don't find many studios where the owners are teaching the younger ones. I knew after that I found the right home. My daughter needs to be challenged and kept up on her feet for the entire class. Mr Quinton and his staff did that amazingly!! Mr Quinton and his staff work with your child on memory, form, counting, and listening skills, while keeping the class fun and engaging. All these are so important when you are learning dance at a young age. We have felt very warm and welcomed here by other teachers and dance parents. Everyone has been so nice and friendly. The studio is clean and well maintained including the floors. We look forward to meeting more people and our next class. My daughter is so excited to be a part of the team this year and will be working hard to do an excellent job for Mr Q and her fellow classmates. I read the rating above and about puked. My children left another dance establishment to join this wonderful team with "Quinton and the receptionist" that the lady spoke of above. My girls 11 & 12 thrive in this environment under Quinton and the rest of the team. We have been dancing for 10 years trying different places and this is now our home. Quinton runs a tight professional ship. We have had issues that needed to be addressed in the past and Quinton has always handled all issues in a professional timely manner. Most importantly, my kids love this place and are motivated by Quinton every day. My kids adore him. My 11 year old just included him as her "hero" in her school paper and my 12 year old tells me weekly that he motivates her like no one ever has in her life. They spend over 15 hours a week in the studio, with the most talented dedicated faculty that I have encountered in any studio over the last 10 years. I highly suggest that if you are looking for a dance studio with a professional team and happy dedicated dancers this is the studio for you. I have had my three children enrolled at The Dance Spot since it opened and had had the pleasure of knowing Quinton a few years prior to that. He and his staff have never been less than professional and caring towards his dancers and dance parents. You may think that I may be a bit bias but I have also had my children in various studios in Austin and Houston. This has been by far the best experience for our family. Quinton has a great deal of experience in the dance industry and only employs the very best staff for his studio. It is obvious and truly visible by the growth of his studio. I have recommended many friends and they have all been extremely satisfied. Occasionally there are some lunatic parents who are incapable of conducting themselves in a proper manner, but those parents easily become insignificant due to the overwhelming positivity of satisfied parents. I would happily recommend The Dance Spot to any parent wanting a positive and nurturing environment for their child. At the time of the writing of this review, The Dance Spot (TDS) has been in business for 8 years. Alll 3 of my children have been enrolled in dance classes there and in the associated Rise Dance Company (RDC). In my opinion, Quinton Weathers, his staff, and his teachers offer the most professional and highest level of dance training that we have experienced. This is not a knock on the other studios where our children have trained, simply a testimonial with how happy we have been with TDS. As a result of the wonderful training, I have one child who is now a dance teacher, another who is majoring in dance at college, and a third who actively attends TDS and a member of RDC. If you want your child to receive excellent dance training in a variety of styles (tap, ballet, jazz, hip-hop, contemporary, and more), for you and your child to be treated professionally and with courtesy and respect, to attend a dance school where the classes start and end on-time, and to be in an environment where your child can thrive and flourish in dance, then I highly recommend The Dance Spot. read more

We have officially danced at The Dance Spot for over a year now. Our time here has been nothing but a positive experience. The owner of The Dance Spot and director of Rise Dance Company, Quinton is amazing. He is talented and does a great job of passing those talents down to the kiddos. Quinton helps his dancers strive to be the best! His dedication to the studio and children is simply amazing. He is caring, compassionate and down to earth. Our family respects Quinton and we know our daughter is getting the best dance education in the area from The Dance Spot. Quinton also employees a WONDERFUL staff. Wow... I can't believe that anyone could think anything but great things about Quinton Weathers and his staff. He is one of the most talented, kind hearted, professional people I have ever known. I am a studio director in another town and use Quinton for master classes regularly. I would never have anyone in my studio that wasn't professional and kind to the children. Looks like someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed, or maybe just has a chip on their shoulder. Either way, the terrible review couldn't be further from the truth. My daughter has trained at The Dance Spot for the past 3 years. Prior to dancing at The Dance Spot, she trained at 2 other studios over the years. While those were pleasant experiences, our experience at The Dance Spot has been "world class"! I will never tell anyone to dance here ,not anyone that I know...I was invited to a heels class when we showed up the class was standing outside because management stated that we stunk up there hallway..One of the ladies said management said we smelled like weed ...I am very shocked and outraged and offended because I am a mother and I live a honest life how dare management lump me into some type of stereotype that she may have. you get all the thumbs down ...Maybe The BBB will hear about how they run buisness. read more
