I've been a teacher with The Dance Lab Miami for the past five years, and it truly feels like home. I took my first ever Ballet class here, so returning as an instructor was a full-circle moment for me, one that I didn't take lightly. I chose to come back because of the people, the environment, and the values that this studio stands for.
Teaching here is genuinely such a rewarding experience. The dancers are kind, hardworking, respectful, and supportive of one another. The bond between teachers and students is something really special. We lead with professionalism, but there is also trust, laughter, and mutual respect. It's a fun, motivating environment where students feel safe to be themselves and grow, not just as dancers but as people.
One of my favorite parts of being part of this studio is the team experience. Traveling together, competing at nationals, and sharing those long days of rehearsals, performances, and memories creates an incredible sense of unity. The team bonding moments on and off the stage are unforgettable and something I truly cherish as a teacher. Those experiences are where lifelong lessons and connections are made.
I've worked at multiple studios throughout my career, and what sets The Dance Lab Miami apart is the balance it maintains between hard work and joy. In many competitive environments, the pressure to win can take away from why dancers start dancing in the first place. Here, that's never the case. There is a strong belief in loving what you do, enjoying the process, and remembering that dance is an art and a passion not just a score.
As an educator, that aligns perfectly with my own philosophy. I believe in leading with positivity, encouraging healthy mindsets, and reminding my students that success is not only measured by trophies, but by growth, confidence, and love for the art. That belief is supported and shared throughout the studio.
Elizabeth, the director of the company team and studio, has done an incredible job creating and maintaining an environment that is safe, healthy, supportive, and positive. Her leadership, care for the dancers, and dedication to the studio are evident in everything she does. I stand by her fully, and I'm proud to work alongside her.
The Dance Lab Miami is more than a studio, it's a family. I am grateful every day to teach here, and there is truly nowhere else I would rather be. read more
