Everything is made to order so it took quite a bit for the order to be ready. So plan ahead especially if you're going during rush meal hours. The brewery has plenty of seating so pick what suits you and your party best.

I ordered the blueberry bacon cheeseburger and I'm still thinking about it. The combination sounds wild, but it works perfectly: juicy, well-seasoned beef, crispy bacon, melty blue cheese, and that blueberry element adds just the right touch of sweetness to balance everything out. Every bite was bold, messy, and incredibly satisfying. And don't skip the house-cut fries--they're just as impressive. Perfectly crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, well-seasoned, and ideal for sharing (or not). They pair perfectly with the burger and a beer from Almanac. They also have dog-friendly beef patties - no salt or pepper, and the pups love it! The fact that you can grab food this good while hanging out at the brewery makes the whole experience even better. It's the kind of place you might miss if you didn't know to look for it, but once you do, you'll be hooked. If you're even remotely into creative burgers done right, Scolari's is a must-try.

Be prepared for long lines depending on the food trucks - one pro tip if you're in a group is to have each person wait in different lines to order and share family-style. It's lively with music, kids playing in the garden, and people dancing at the entrance. You can also catch the sunset from here which is a beautiful sight. As it's no longer crowded compared to pre-pandemic, you can easily walk around and enjoy the outside space while eating delicious food. I hope more people visit Friday Nights so that they can continue to bring in more food trucks and expand the event.

But now, it's a lame version of its former self. I haven't found the right mix of food for me. And what I eat is a bit underwhelming. Now, my husband wants to go and it's "safeish" because people aren't crowded together like we used to be, there are no live bands, no dancing, and they have many fewer trucks. My first time here after they started having this again, they only had 3-4 trucks. They also have the same trucks week after week. Some of my favorites aren't available and the ones that show up haven't always been ones I'd choose to go to. But it's ok. So they've gone from a five-star breath of fresh air each Friday, to a three-star, take it or leave it. I'm hoping that they are able to revamp things and earn those two stars back!

You can tell there's real passion behind what they're doing. Now let's talk about the food... WOW. I ordered the Korean BBQ, and it was hands down the best I've ever had. The flavors were perfectly balanced, the sauce was rich and unforgettable, the rice was cooked to perfection, and the kimchi had just the right kick. Every single bite was next level. This wasn't just a meal, it was an experience. Awesome owner, Amazing people, incredible food, and quality you can truly taste. If you see Bombzies, don't even think twice...go get it. You'll thank me later.

There are some dressed spring mix, pickled shredded carrot and daikon, kimchi, and cucumbers on the side that complete the meal. The char and flavor on my Korean BBQ chicken was good (a bit on the salty side but still enjoyable), and the rice and noodles were moist and plump; it's a solid bowl that I wouldn't mind eating every now and then. The main drawback is the price, especially for a casual DIY-style meal with mainly chicken and tofu choices. I also get food from Bombzies catered at my workplace and they're typically pretty good and specialize in flavorful Asian comfort food.

Went in with zero expectations and left planning my next visit…read more Stopped by Tacos Mi Rancho near Lake Merritt and honestly didn't know what to expect. From the outside, it looks like a straightforward taco truck, but wow was I surprised. I ordered the Carnitas Super Taco, which came loaded with lettuce, cheese, cilantro, onions, sour cream, and guacamole. Everything was fresh, well seasoned, and packed with flavor. My only complaint? You only get one taco per order because I definitely could've eaten another. The Kid ordered the Carne Asada Super Taco and before we even pulled away, she was asking for a second one. That's usually a pretty good sign. We also tried the horchata and jamaica, and both were delicious. The horchata was creamy and flavorful, while the jamaica was refreshing and not overly sweet. What surprised me most was how quickly they got the food out, especially considering how popular this spot seems to be. A few things to know: * Cash or Venmo only * Parking can be a challenge, but it's worth it * Keep an eye out for the new speed cameras in the area Their hours are another plus: Open daily, 9:30am- midnight Overall, this was one of those pleasant surprises that reminds you not to judge a place by appearances. Definitely looking forward to coming back.

Reason why I'd give 3 stars instead of 5 is because 1) almost $5 for one tiny taco is already absurd, and 2) half of the time they charge me for super taco prices just so i can go home and find out they gave me regular tacos - NO cheese, NO guac, NO sour cream. I even asked the dude on the phone how many bags of chips they give for my order so i know if I need to order more, he literally said two bags of chips, and end up giving me just one bag for a total of 4 "super" tacos and one "super" burrito. Check your order every time before you leave.
