The Light and Fit Sandwich up close and inside
    Katie H.

This place is great! I can't speak to their evenings, but my sister and I went here for brunch on Sunday around noon and had a lovely experience. The service was phenomenal and the food was hot and delicious. You order at the counter and they bring your food and drinks out to your table. Coffee was plentiful and quite good as well (it is serve yourself so the refills are unlimited when eating in). I had my coffee black and it did not disappoint. My sister tried their specialty latte "The Daily" and really enjoyed it too. My Light and Fit sandwich was packed with veggies between two slices of delicious multigrain bread and my sister really enjoyed her build your own omelet and potatoes. Don't sleep on the hot sauce either! I asked for some and was informed that it was house made and you can definitely tell. The flavor was excellent...smoky and just the right amount of spice. I liked it so much I asked if they sold it and unfortunately they do not as of now but I would buy bottles if they did. It looked like they have a lot of events in the evenings and they even have a drive thru...I will definitely be back. Thank you, The Daily Pressed!

Ridiculous service fees. 4% house fee, 2.50% service charge for mediocre food at relatively steep prices.

Do not waste your time. Food was below mediocre and the woman who served us was incredibly rude. Personally, my worst dining experience.

It's a small place and we thought we'd have to wait but luckily a couple were leaving so we got seats at the bar. It would have been worth the wait. We picked a couple drinks off the menu and they were incredibly beautiful and tasted divine. The pizza we ordered had anchovies and pepperoni and I swear it's the best wood fired pizza I've ever had. I wanted another drink and asked the bartender to make me a rum drink of their choice. Within minutes some amazing concoction, it was smoking inside a glass dome of some sort. The garnish was a flamed cinnamon stick and orange rind that looked like a sword. It was incredible. The vibe is nice and patrons are friendly. It's not loud, so you can carry on a conversation, and the music was nice. There is a cute little back room with tables too for groups of 2-4 people. Parking is plentiful on the street and nearby parking lots. Within walking distance of other bars and restaurants. Up and coming area. I can't recommend the Oak & Olive enough and I can't wait to go back.

There's a secret entrance since it's a speakeasy, which is fun. Someone is always there to help guide you if you can't figure it out, haha. The lighting is low, and there are a lot of comfy spots to sit, which makes the environment feel very calm and cozy. We ended up all ordering a variety of espresso martinis. Mine was a crème brûlée one, which was divine, but they all sounded delicious! We also ordered the fig & pear pizza to share. I wasn't sure what to expect, but the flavors worked really well together! I'm hoping I can come here with my husband soon.

I love speakeasies and this one was really cool! Don't want to give up all the secrets, but the entrance appears as a post office. We only got one drink each. I got The Alchemist's Secret Garden. I was hesitant because it was $20. But I thought yolo because the ingredients sounded too good; smoke infused gin, green chartreuse, ginger liqueur, lime honey & mint. It was incredible, and the presentation was gorgeous! The coolest drink presentation I've ever had. My friend got Love on the Rock. It was a vodka-based drink paired with watermelon pop rocks. Put a little bit of pop rocks in your mouth, then take a sip of the drink - it's a weird sensation but the flavors worked so well! The bartender that served us, and the host were both really nice. It's a super small space and they don't take reservations. Unfortunately if you have a big party, it's not likely you'll get in (we overheard that exact scenario while sitting at the bar). I believe they said they have around 20 seats. We loved the moody and intimate vibe though!
