We ordered a vanilla latte, caramel macchiato, french toast with vanilla custard, and the Dienger Breakfast Sandwich. The food was absolutely fantastic! One of the best brunch spots we've eaten at. The atmosphere is beautiful and perfect to have a conversation without having to shout, too. In addition, Raymond stopped by our table (we presume he's the GM or owner). He chatted with us for several minutes. He checked to make sure we were having a good experience and told us about the history of Dienger Trading Co. He obviously cares a lot about the food quality and the business. We are so impressed and can't wait to go back! Next time we'll buy some treats from the bakery, and I'll take more pictures.

When it came time to address the men, he looked directly at the head of the table where one of my Hispanic family members sat (who has dark skin) and asked "Do you understand English?" before encouraging the "men to come back and look at their upcoming gun and watch collection. Not even to mention the food. Chicken and waffles? More like chicken and fryer grease. While I find the new decor questionable, with some interesting color and flooring choices, the bar is still a bit unfinished and lackluster. The lighting is weak and underlit, although the wood paneling is gorgeous. Lot of room to take it to the next level which it needs if it is to succeed as a high-end bar. I'm sure during the soft opening they'll sort it out but our drinks were a bit high priced, the barware cheap and unattractive considering the $18 martini cost, and the cocktails were watered down and short-poured. Just not very good. Hospitality was eager, though. On the other hand, as a 24 year Boerne resident who has been a patron since 2006, the food in the Grille was as good as I've experienced in a LONG time. The Thursday smoked Prime Rib special was spectacular and the sides were up to the challenge along with a generous and excellent Caesar salad easily split by two.
