I absolutely adore this little place. I come and grab breakfast here every time I bring my dogs to the groomers next door. This time I had the pleasure of eating with Mr. Stevens, (better known as pappy) who is the owners father. He also is one of the cooks in the back and I must say he is doing a good job. Everything I ordered came out fast, and was cooked to T. I appreciate when a bagel made like this is not greasy. There were no other customers at the time I ordered and I enjoyed pappys company while I ate. He is a character and brightened up my day. I think that this is a great win for the area.

I got a pretty tasty coffee, donut and breakfast sandwich! Staff were friendly and fast. The shop was pretty small and a bit packed during the morning rush but I'm not really complaining since I wasn't intending to stay to eat. Only thing I will note is that if you're getting coffee make sure you try and specify how sweet you want your coffee. They made mine waaay too sweet but I didn't specify so next time I will.

Great selection of fresh daily donuts! Also great breakfast sandwiches. Good prices and quality.

Great service, quick and talented baristas. Overall a great "early person" spot. Huge fan of the breakfast sandwiches! You get what you pay for here for sure. Pretty fast service even when it's busy! Go support your local New Kent businesses.

Growing pains. After reading raves about their Burgers, I stopped at TDF earlier today to get carryout. I chose the Double Dose ($8.50 (2) 4oz. Patties (80/20 mix) served on a Buttery Toasted Brioche Bun.) With Bacon, and LTM. I gave the gal my name, Kimberly. When I paid for my order, I was neither given nor offered a receipt. While waiting for the Burger to come up, I ordered 2 Doughnuts for tomorrow morning. The Burger came up in about 10 minutes. A gal at the front end yelled, "Kim?" After getting no reply, she repeated it, "Kim?" I stepped forward and asked, "Could that be Kimberly?" Apparently the gal taking my order felt authorized to truncate my name. I drove home, Burger in one bag, and two Doughnuts in another. At home, the Burger, although sloppily constructed, was still warm enough to eat. So I did. I've had perhaps 6-10 other Hamburgers this year, and each was streets ahead of the Double Dose. The DD was sloppily constructed, was way too dry, and lacked flavor. I'll provide an update about the Doughnuts tomorrow. Parking is a cinch in the shared lot; the store was squeaky clean; all personnel were very pleasant.

We came in and waited exactly 8 minutes for someone to take our order. No greeting, no welcome, just three girls bustling about making orders. Um you take three seconds to say "hello" or " welcome we will be with you in a moment" . They would turn around look us in the face and turn back around. I finally caught a girl's attention and she asked if we could be helped. She informed us they ran out of donuts at 9am. I then asked how long for a breakfast sandwich and she turned around looked at the 2-3 workers in the back and said,"10-15 min"?? We ordered a latte and left to find breakfast down the road at Patty's.

Breakfast sandwiches and the doughnuts are by far the best in this area. only caution is that there are only a few counter seats to sit at.

The sauce that the lobster was tossed in was so watery that it completely soaked the roll and it became a flat piece of wet dough that you could not even pick up. It was disgusting. I had to go ask a fork just so I could eat the lobster without the roll. Anyone who has had lobster rolls before understand that the role is very important and it should not be flat mushy and wet. When I went to get the fork, I was asked why I needed a fork for the lobster roll and I told them that the role was ruined and wet and I couldn't even pick it up. I was then told that the next time I ordered a lobster roll I should get the one with the butter. I was then informed that I must not have been aware of what I was ordering and that's why it wasn't what I expected. I informed them that I was very aware of what I was ordering because I used to own a seafood restaurant and market and that what was served to me was unacceptable. I won't be getting lobster rolls there again, but I will go back for a burger.

I've always had a pleasant time dining in, the staff has always been attentive to refill my drinks, and they always are willing to entertain a conversation with me, or entertain me with their conversation. Beauvine, in my opinion, is a staple of Richmond's food scene and is a MUST to anyone new or visiting the city and wants a fantastic, and reasonably priced, burger. With all that said, I think the name needs to change, Beauvine Burger isn't just a concept anymore, it's an entire thought.

If I remember correctly, their kitchen stays open until 2300 or 2330, which was nice. They have a lot of tables and chairs along bar seating. The bartenders that waited on us were polite, but it did take them forever to come back and check on me. I was going to order another drink, but because it took them quite a bit of time to get back to me, I ended up not forgoing the extra drink. I ordered a Bellytimber burger with a side of onion rings and a Beauvine's mule with raspberry flavor. My friend had ordered wings with a Modelo. My burger and onion rings were good, but my mule wasn't strong enough for me. It tasted quite watered down. The wings, my friend said, was alright. Overall, my experience was okay. I wouldn't mind coming back, but I probably wouldn't go out of my way.
