About three weeks ago, as I was walking my dogs inside, one of they key employees was having a heated argument with a customer outside. It had to do with immigrants and crime. When I got inside, the woman continued to spout her nonsense, saying immigrants were causing all the crime in the area, destroying our country, etc. and that "illegals" had taken over the strip mall where Deb's is located. She started in on the wonderful, Columbian woman next door (where I get my hair cut). Disgusted, I finally said I couldn't tolerate the racial hatred, asked for my dogs back, and left. As I was leaving, this woman, unleashed another torrent of racial, anti-Hispanic hatred. Deb clearly agreed with her, saying, "we don't want your business." This place should go out of business.

I'd much rather drive the 40min one way. Rather then to deal with such disrespect and unprofessionalism. My last encounter will most certainly be my last visit. Firstly the lady told me after I paid the $300; that my dog needed to be conditioned but had informed me the groomer had forgotten to do so!!! Also she complained that my male should be neutered and that "he's not show dog material" "he tried to get his balls cut off several times today". My female dog for some reason had bad anxiety and was even skiddish (which Is not like her; she's never been skiddish before around anyone) going here as well. She even went potty on herself while being caged up once here i was told. Which is very odd seeing as my dogs are both very well mannered and trained. They've NEVER done such a thing before. Not sure what occurred. However based on a previous review I'm seeing I wouldn't be surprised if they had hit her. It would explain my dogs odd behavior. Also they weren't even properly shaved; their hair was patchy and ears uneven. My husband who is a barber had to go back and fix them once home!! Ridiculous!! Stay away from this place it's not worth the money nor the lack of manners! Side note: they're also not taking any COVID-19 regulatory precautions. No masks or gloves etc.

I have been taking my dog recently to Doggie Doos off of Greenway and Horizon. He is always pretty skiddish when it comes to grooming with people he doesn't know, but it has seemed to progressively get worse each time we were going there. I wasn't sure why. Today I took my dog to a different local groomer because they had an appointment time that worked better for me. I used to go to this groomer all the time, but it got quite pricey. Anyway, when we got there my dog was immediately terrified and cowering like I've never seen before. I left and got a call about 45 minutes later saying they wouldn't be able to groom him because he was to terrified and acting out with fear aggression. When I got there, they were asking where I have been taking him. When I said Doggie Doos, their jaws dropped. They were telling that now they understand why my dog is acting the way he is and why he was terrified even just seeing the lead that goes around their neck while grooming. She proceeded to tell me that the groomer at Doggie Doos hits the dogs or pops them on the head with the clippers when they aren't listening. She stated that a groomer who worked at Doggie Doos now works at this other facility and was telling her all of the horror stories that occur there. I now have to make an appointment at this other facility to where I can stay there with my dog and comfort him while he gets groomed. This makes me so sad and infuriated knowing that something bad could have possibly happened to him while in the hands of someone else. Please just be aware and do your research for the safety of your animals. I'm truly not sure if anything did happen as I did not see it myself, but just seeing how fearful my dog was today I have no doubt in my mind that something bad more than like did happen to him at Doggie Doos.

She answered all of my questions and gave me lots of advice on how to care for my dog's specific coat. To say my pup had a transformation would be an understatement! My dog was groomed at LuLu a week ago. When she got home she didn't want to be touched and stood in…read moreone place for 10 or 15 minutes just looking at the wall. She wouldn't sleep on the bed at night either. She would flinch when I touched her or tried to get her to sit with me. I took my dog to the vet and was told she was suffering from razor burn on her stomach and prescribed a spray to cool the affected area. The spray worked and she is almost back to normal. I will never take a pet of mine to be groomed at LuLu ever.

Today though was the best experience we've had with Lulu's. We took both our girls in a veteran to Lulu's and a 9 month old pup (her first time at a groomer). The staff was extremely nice & talked us through what they were wanting to do with the puppy (to get her used to the environment). They both were done after 1 1/2 hours! The look amazing. I believe our groomer's name was Mary. I tried getting a good picture of them but it's near impossible. lol

They called to let me know she was almost ready and when I arrived to pick her up, we were in and out. This experience was outstanding. Rosie smells like candy and is relaxed from her spa day. Before I called Lazy Dog, I left a voicemail for an appointment at a competitor that has not been returned yet (it's been several hours) and walked into another location that didn't accept walk ins at all. Needless to say, we are thankful and I will be sure to return despite living in Aliante.
