We were super excited to try the new Curry Lounge in BG. To start with, we tried the samosas, then tikka masala and coconut curry chicken. Both were really bland and just didn't bring the flavor in the way so many good Indian restaurants in the area do. My wife and I were underwhelmed and surprised by the lack of flavor, as these classic dishes are usually an easy win. The service wasn't great either. We don't have any horror stories to report, it was just really slow and awkward. They're clearly still figuring out how to run a sit down restaurant and I do hope they get there, as BG needs a good Indian spot! In the end, service was so slow that we had to get up and ask for our check on the way out. We won't be back, but do hope everything improves and they succeed!

This was the selection that we ate from the buffet. I took a sample of each item. I truly like the coconut curry chicken for sure.

Ordered off the buffet (3/16/25) for lunch. The food is really good (of what I was able to eat). We plan to visit again for lunch, but i will order the Coconut Chicken Curry (yummy)

Delicious Indian Food. Great buffet. Clean with friendly staff. A great addition to Bowling Green eateries.

So, starving, we went here super last minute, and they were super accommodating even though they were packed! The man at the door took our order fast and got us a seat once someone left. While we waited for a seat, we checked out the picture books of India, which kept us entertained and set a vibe. The food was incredible, too! I love peshwari naan and find it difficult to find sometimes, so I'm so glad they had it and as for the rest of the meal, we had the aloo gobi masala, and vegetarian platter, and all I can say is YUM! Would recommend for the service and food alone, but the atmosphere was welcoming and cozy and made our dining experience really nice, too.

Atmosphere and food are still great in my opinion. There was a little drink menu on the table that advertised Chai and a dirty chai. I ordered the dirty chai which was supposed to be $6.75 (already a lot for a small coffee) and my husband ordered a beer off another drink menu that was listed at $5. We were charged $7.05 for the coffee and $6.75 for the beer. Wouldn't have ordered either if the prices were printed correctly as I was already iffy paying the printed price. It has me wondering how much we were over charged for the food as I dont remember what the menu said for everything. So just be aware.

It appears that the recipes are a little different now. I ordered chicken korma, very spicy, and it was just OK. The chicken chunks are a lot bigger now. Bigger chunks take more time to cook, making the chicken very dry. The veggies and sauce are also different. The dish was more mild than spicy. I remember a lot of Chinese restaurants doing this. I guess the chefs are trying to protect us from ourselves... My dining partners ordered chicken tikka masala and had the same comments. One other person ordered the mixed grill (tandoori grill???) and again, everything was really overcooked and dry. There was no wine or beer available. We asked if we could bring in either and were told, "no." They were very polite about it, but this is not illegal in Ohio, at least, the attorney we were dining with said it was perfectly legal to do this. I know I've dined in establishments where there was no liquor, beer or wine available and patrons were allowed to bring in their own. Casa Que Pasa in Athens, Ohio, comes to mind, but that was a loooooong time ago and, for some reason, my memories of meals there are kind of foggy anyway :). The restaurant does have the right to charge a "corkage fee" if they desire. Anyway, not sure wine would be my preference for Indian food, but beer!!! Nothing goes better with hot, spicy food than a beer that's indigenous to that country (Taj Mahal or Kingfisher!!!). Of course, the kitchen needs to get the spice lever right. For an appetizer, we did order some vegetable pakoras and they were really great. I believe we also ordered some onion kulcha too and that was great. Anyway, not the worst I've had, but not what was being offered at the Airport location. The place is young and there are probably some things to work out. I'll definitely try this again.

The bar staff were incredibly friendly and very attentive! The only critiques I have are that there are many many tables for watching and not much room for dancing ( or in my case moshing since I visited to see a metal show) which was a bit sad, they do not serve food here which again was a bit sad ( I should have looked up though) BUT!!!!! They do have a popcorn machine so that was a very happy surprise! This bar has good vibes and character!

A Beautifully Filthy Rock & Roll Dive…read more If you love a good, grungy, rock and roll dive bar, Howard's Club H is the place for you. It's got all the essentials: cold beer (only slightly overpriced), bartenders who are usually nice enough, and a smell that can only be described as shame with a hint of stale beer. The bathrooms? Perfectly disgusting, just as they should be in a place like this. The walls are covered in layers of graffiti and stickers, some of it actually pretty interesting if you take the time to look. Live bands crank out music that ranges from surprisingly solid to who let them on stage? But that's part of the charm. This is the kind of bar where you go to lose track of time, drink with strangers who might become friends, and soak in the glorious decay of a true dive. It's not for everyone, but if you appreciate a bar with character, history, and just the right amount of grime, Howard's Club H is a must.
