Food was Good but Service was Non-Existent. I was there in June 2026 on a very slow night for the restaurant. I walked in and no one said hello or acknowledged that I was even there for about 5 minutes. Finally, I was seated. The server was nice but not very knowledgeable about the dishes. I ordered a dish that I had not had before and was notified about 5 minutes later that the dish was not available. I had soup that was very good and a main course with naan were good. The server never came back for over 20 minutes to ask how everything was. I needed more water and was about to get up and get it myself when the server finally reappeared. There was no thank you or good by at the end. So, the food was good enough to return but I would not go back given the poor service. read more

The Curry Lounge is a newish addition to the Bowling Green food scene, and I hope it sticks around. This Indian restaurant is open every day except Tuesday. They have hours for both lunch and dinner, and offer a lunch buffet Friday-Sunday ($17.99 per person; free for kids 6 years and younger) with traditional table service for weekday lunch and dinner. The Facebook page is updated regularly and often advertises specials as well as the buffet menu. We dined on a Friday for lunch so my review only reflects the buffet. There are a variety of options for vegan, vegetarian, and omnivorous diners and everything we tried was delicious. The dishes are all labeled but do not include allergy information so we had to ask about dairy/egg/meat content. The staff is very friendly and available for questions. I'd love to return next time I'm in town so I can try the full menu. read more

We were there kind of late. I think the meal was microwaved since I am allergic to the radiation. If you use debit they say they have a fee. It should not. Remember to tip. The waitress was good. Truly incredible that a small town like this has a 5 star Indian restaurant. Its not too hard to locate and parking is limited but easy. The menu choices are well priced and the portions are decent. The chef that cooked my food served my food. High quality is to be expected. Pretty decor and upbeat Indian music video's add to the vibe and reinforce India's emerging middle class. Portions are correct, food is authentic but the chilli is dialed back, not surprsing in a town like this one. read more

A friend gave me a gift card so i went for takeout (you can eat in and there is a bar also). The couple who are owners took my order--nilgiri chicken and plain naan with mango lassi-- and it was freshly made. I can no longer eat spicy food so I ordered mild and it was very good. Came with basmati rice. The naan was outstanding. They have an extensive menu, with friendly service. You can specify the level of spice. There was Indian singers and dancers on tv screens which was fun. There is plenty of parking outside. read more

We were super excited to try the new Curry Lounge in BG. To start with, we tried the samosas, then tikka masala and coconut curry chicken. Both were really bland and just didn't bring the flavor in the way so many good Indian restaurants in the area do. My wife and I were underwhelmed and surprised by the lack of flavor, as these classic dishes are usually an easy win. The service wasn't great either. We don't have any horror stories to report, it was just really slow and awkward. They're clearly still figuring out how to run a sit down restaurant and I do hope they get there, as BG needs a good Indian spot! In the end, service was so slow that we had to get up and ask for our check on the way out. We won't be back, but do hope everything improves and they succeed! read more

We went on a Fri night and there was live music by a local musician, Timmy C. The patrons loved it! Great ambiance for a great meal. So nice to see people out on a Fri night. This was our third time going to the restaurant and we specifically came this evening just for soup and bread. Other times we have had an appetizer and shared a soup, entree, and bread and still went home with leftovers. Portions are excellent! Servers have always been very helpful in suggesting the heat level. My advice, start with medium heat and move up from there. We love having an Indian cuisine restaurant in town and hope many people try The Curry! read more

I wanted to update my review. The food was great so I won't take anything away from that, but the service was very slow. We were seated quickly, but it was over 20 minutes before our order was taken it was another 40 minutes before I got my food. There was a small power outage that lasted 5 seconds. The server claimed it cleared their system and they lost track of who was seated. There was also a large party in the buffet area which also may have delayed the food. I'm going to give it the benefit of the doubt, but other friends have complained about slow service. Hopefully this was a fluke. read more

Have been here twice and as a fellow South Asian I must say I'm a little disappointed. The first time I went to the food was amazing I had both meat and vegetable options. The naan was fresh and my favorite was the garlic. The gulabjaman were warm and fresh, going perfectly with the chai. There was even live music playing which was a nice ambience. My second time in this place I ended up choosing the buffet option but it was very disappointed. The variety was limited with only one type of rice, a couple of options for salan and spinach. Perhaps I'm spoiled and am accustomed to better buffet options but it didn't seem like much. Nor did things stick out as very fresh. Indeed some of the dishes seem like they were reheated. Rasmali was mid and appetizers needed to be covered so they could remain hot. Not sure what to expect if I go back up third time because the consistency just wasn't there. Four of us for dinner. Service was attentive and friendly. Food was delicious. The biryani was delicious and the portion quite large. Curries were very good as well. Naan was perfect. Pakoras came with 2 sauces. You can choose your level of spice. I found the medium had plenty of heat. Thrilled to have a new choice in BG. read more

I come from an area in New York with a high concentration of high quality Indian restaurants. This place is one of the best I've ever been to. I did takeout, so I can't totally comment on atmosphere, but it was super cute and vibrant when I entered, and the staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. Also, I originally thought it was a bit pricy until I realized just how much food they give you. Pictured is the butter chicken entree with peshwari naan. Way more food than I was expecting for under $25! The chicken, rice, and naan were all to die for! I am so thankful that BG finally has an Indian place and I will definitely be coming back soon. 10/10. read more

The food is excellent, some of the best Indian food I've tried. My spouse gets it delivered a lot when I working late and it's a convenient option. Got the marinated chicken skewer and it was moist and flavorful even upon reheating. Also got the samosas which were great including the sauces. Male sure to check this place out! read more

Absolutely one of the best restaurants in Bowling Green. We so enjoyed the buffet (available Fri/Sat/Sun). The food was FANTASTIC. There were many different options...vegetarian and meat. Each dish was a gift to our tastebuds. Staff was more than attentive. It was wonderful to see such a diverse group of customers...students, locals, and seniors. We also enjoyed a restful meal with lovely background music....not music so loud that one could not talk, as is the case with so many restaurants. Only wish they had a frequent diner discount LOL, as we will be back. read more
