So I made the mistake of heading over here the day before Christmas Eve. I wanted to just pick up some cupcakes for the holiday to try out this "new" place I've heard so much about. Turns out, that everyone had the same idea, since the shop was closed Monday and Tuesday and that Wednesday was the first day back. I couldn't make it in time for opening, but about 90 minutes in; such a line!! I waited outside for 45 minutes, braving the cold winds as CDC guidelines only allow one guest in the tiny shop at a time. People were coming out with bags and bags of Hot Chocolate Bombs. When I made it into the store, that was obviously the main draw, although I did manage to take a couple cupcakes home, too. I scored two mint and two regular, both were filled with marshmallows. As I now was crazy intrigued at this entire fad, it definitely became the excitement of this more mundane holiday season. They were delicious (as were the cupcakes). Pro tip: follow the Cupcakery on Facebook. You'll not only know when there will be HCBs but also how many so you know how early to arrive to score some. They'll be making them as long as it remains cold out! Definitely worth the wait. read more

Pros - pretty much everything we got was tasty. The donuts were great and well-priced. I also had a white chocolate raspberry scone which was delicious, though the texture was more like a cookie than a scone. The cupcakes were good, maybe a bit overpriced considering they are fairly small. Cons- the coffee really was not good and no one in the place was wearing masks. I really want to like this place but I'm hesitant to go back while COVID is still happening. read more

We discovered this little bakery as we walked by on our way to dinner. Walking into the bakery, we met the owner and baker of the delightful and delicious creations. She makes cupcakes, pastries, macarons, brownies and more. We ordered 4 chocolate croissants and two cupcakes, red velvet and double chocolate. We took them to go and brought the package back to our car waiting for us to enjoy them over the weekend since we had dinner plans. The owner was friendly and engaging. I soon discovered the next day that she is a talented baker. My red velvet cupcake was so moist and the frosting was light, fluffy and had the perfect amount of sweetness. The chocolate croissant was light and flaky and so delicious. We reheated the croissants in the oven for 5 minutes and it was as if they were freshly baked. So good! I don't live in Lockport but will definitely go back for her delectable sweet treats. They're worth the drive. Don't pass by this bakery. Even though we were heading to our dinner reservations, I'm so glad we popped in and brought bakery home. I would've hate missing out on all the deliciousness. read more

Only open Thurs-Sat from 10-4. expensive for sometimes stale items. ordered an Atomic Cake. she was more expensive than competitors, charged $20 more to deliver to a restaurant a few mikes away. cake was stale as if it had been baked 1-2 days earlier. My mother-in-law went here to get some treats for the family for Valentine's Day because of a gluten free/dairy free option and a coupon. The icing on the regular cupcakes was very good, and consensus in our family was that the cupcake part was pretty average. The other two reviews standing as I'm submitting this think they're better than that, so I wouldn't discourage you from trying it if you wanted to. That changes for me regarding the gluten free/dairy free aspect of the experience. There was one option, which doesn't bother me. What did bother me was that the first bite was fine, and then as more was eaten the consensus was that the cupcake starts to taste like cardboard and the icing begins to taste like Playdoh. Maybe we got a strange batch, I'm not sure. I wouldn't recommend trying them for the price. The place is pretty small and we ended up stepping out due to the number of customers that were allowed to be in the space (with us it would've been 6 plus two employees just behind the counter). Overall I'd say try it if you want to. I personally wouldn't go back when I could muster up similar/potentially better product at home for less money. read more

The Cupcakery Bakery is my new favorite spot for satisfying my sweet tooth. The location is nestled in the scenic part of Downtown Lockport near the canal. The offerings and variety were outstanding! I ended up purchasing six cupcakes of various flavors to celebrate a special occasion. These cupcakes did NOT disappoint. By far, these cupcakes were the most tender and moist cake I have ever had in my life and the frosting had the perfect balance of sweet and the texture was light and silky. I HIGHLY recommend the Fruity Pebbles and Strawberry Chocolate cupcakes but I can guarantee that you will be happy with whatever flavors are available. I really loved the vanilla cupcake and because we only bought one vanilla, I had to split it with our son.
