They make their own cheese and semifreddo! I recently stopped by to see about the semifreddo, which I wasn't really familiar with. The employee working let me know I could sample the different flavors, so I tried the pistachio and the lemon. The lemon was my favorite (and the employee's recommendation) - it was lemony and bright without a fake lemon flavor. The texture is sort of like frozen Cool Whip - a little less dense than gelato. I really liked it and loved the cute ice cream cone-like cookie it came with. I also got to try a bite of their brioche & cream, which is a brioche bun with semifreddo inside, covered in chocolate syrup. The flavor combination (pistachio and chocolate) was lovely, but I wish the brioche was a bit softer in texture. I have to come back to try their sandwiches - the mortadella and veggie sandwiches sound best to me. They make their own mozzarella!

At this price point, I'd rather regular ice cream, but it was fun to try! I'd love to try their gnocchi or savory dish next time. I had the box of assorted artisinal chocolates with milk, dark and white chocolate varieties. The line was shorter for Landwhale (clearly everyone is unaware how amazing it is!) so we jumped over there to order. While their menu is small, only 5 wraps, the two we had were so freakin' good! We got the Cuban and the Monica Gellar. I was not anticipating these wraps to be so big! The wrap is super soft and thin - makes it easy to bit into and doesn't overtake the insides. They both were warm which was a pleasant surprise! The flavor was on point and these things were girthy! (yes, sorry I just used that word..) Since the kids and I couldn't finish them, we took them home where my husband ate one later - it came out of the fridge cold and he still thought it was amazing! The salt & vinegar chips in the middle of the MG wrap = delish. LWD has chips and drinks to grab on the side. Love that they support local and MI made products!
