Despite not being able to safely prepare one of the meals, they refused to remove the charge for it. What food we did receive was subpar--basic orders were incorrect, such as a ham and cheese sandwich arriving without any cheese. The service was slow, disorganized, and unresponsive to our concerns. Between the unacceptable delay, the lack of allergy protocol, and the poor food quality, this experience was not only frustrating but also potentially dangerous. I cannot recommend this establishment to anyone, especially those with dietary restrictions or allergies.

Patio for breakfast not realizing it was the place we were planning for dinner.  The egg burger was excellent but the side of potatoes fried in tallow and tossed in a house sauce were the best potatoes I've ever had and it wasn't particularly close. Service was quick, very friendly, and knowledgeable. Wood fired grill right in the middle of restaurant, vintage wood refrigerator, butcher block counters and tables all screamed that this restaurant has a soul and character. Breakfast was so good went back same night for dinner.  This was the best steak in years and the only cut available at that time.  The side of tallow fried onion chips and mushrooms were again the best preparation of fried onion I've ever had.  House sauce was great. Absolutely love coming here!

When we arrived, we walked in and found a butcher shop where you can purchase all sorts of things. Then we were walked back to the restaurant area and loved the industrial vibe of the restaurant decor. So much of the food in the menu looked delicious, and the server was very helpful in assisting us with narrowing down our selections. We each started with an adult beverage, and we ordered the unBELIEVABLY good Golden Beet and Plum Salad. It was amazing. This was one of the server's recommendations, and we were so glad we listened, cause it was excellent, and definitely not something we would have otherwise tried. The flavors of the beets and plums just worked amazingly well, and the crunch of the hazelnuts gave it a wonderfully unique texture. For our main courses, my wife enjoyed a Peach glazed pork chop with corn, tomatoes, and squash. It was Delicious! I had a skirt steak and added the Grilled Hen of the Woods fungus. My dinner was resting in a rich gravy, and was also delicious. We topped off our meal with an order of the Yukon Smashed Potatoes with Herbs. They were crispy, golden, and delicious. Now, we usually don't have enough room for dessert, but in this case we made an exception, and ordered the Strawberry Panna Cotta. It was creamy, it was sweet, it was very tasty. Our entire experience at The Union was excellent from start to finish. I don't remember where in my research I heard about it, but I'm so glad I did. And any future visits to the capital of the great State of Montana, will definitely include a stop at The Union for a meal.

Probably one of the best chicken sandwiches I have had in Montana. I only wish the jalapeños had more of a kick. The sauce they put on there is bland and messy, it gets all over. If I got that again I would get that sauce on the side and get the Korean sweet chili sauce on there. That would be amazing! The fries for just bar fries were great. Maybe I was just happy. The creperie is such a cute little spot in Helena. I loves the vibe, it's very trendy and modern…read more It has a very designer feel to it and there's tons of seating so you can have a little meet up or get together here for a crepe. The crepes itself are pretty dry.. The batter is much thinner than a normal crepe and mine came out very crisp, especially around the edges. Very similar to the "body of Christ" type of texture lol... I ordered a Berry, whip and added Nutella to the crepe. It came out with the berry blend and the whip with cute sprinkled but there was ZERO nutella or any form of chocolate that I paid for in it.. I could have asked for some but they seemed SO overwhelmed. There was only around 4 tables that were occupied so I am not sure where the urgency was coming from. The coffee here was delicious. I ordered a iced latte and it came out quickly with a lot of love. My partner on the other hand ordered a Matcha and it was pretty bad. He ended up throwing it away, not even an eighth of the drink was consumed... I believe the Matcha they use in their drinks is of baking quality. It was a bit clumpy and did not blend well. Not being too harsh on this as I know some ingredients are harder to source out here... It's a HARD pass on the Matcha. I want to give 2 stars but I am giving 3 because their latte was that good. Note I wouldn't particularly recommend coming here unless you're OK with "just OK" crepes.
