Recently Guthrie's in Steelyard closed so I was looking for a good chicken place. I Tried Raising Cane for the first time and their food was bland. So I looked online and found The Crispy Chick read some reviews and decided to try it. Their chicken tenders were moist, had more flavor, and were more appetizing to look at compared to Cane's. The fries were larger and seasoned while Cane's just had salt. Cane's bread has a sweeter taste while The Crispy Chick has a sour dough taste reminding me of some of the Chinese food rolls I like. Cane's Cole slaw had a sour taste to it while The Crispy Chick coleslaw was a little on the dryer side making it good for their chicken sandwich so the bread doesn't get to soggy. read more

First timer. So we sat in the drive-through for a long time. We did drive through instead of delivery because there is nothing like delivery to make crispy food soggy. We both ordered The original. The lovely lady at the window, Sarah, explained that it takes so long because they make things fresh. Home is minutes away. We were excited to smash some Crispy CHICKen and fries. Stopped in on a whim as I had heard about this place. The Crispy Chick--keep making it to order! The chicken strips were cooked to order and excellent. I am not a fast food customer and skipped the fries as they are not fresh cut. The wait time was only a few minutes. The gal at the drive through let me know it would be a couple of minutes-- no problem! Then I get my order and my car was engulfed in incredible smell. Hard to drive home without pulling over to eat the chicken strips. They held up well once at home-- no need to reheat. The menu is limited to chicken strips, fries and coleslaw side and soft drinks. The chicken is crispy, well seasoned and fresh. My favorite is the Signature Sandwich because it has their house sauce and coleslaw on a brioche bun. Had a very enjoyable meal here :) My male confrere and I were warmly welcomed upon entering (by a lady named Sarah. Thank you Sarah for your kind words!) I had ordered the chicken strips, and really thought the flavor and sauce accompanying it was perfect. Overall, my meal was very similar to raising canes (another chicken place I have tried but not rated). The only reason I give it four out of five stars was that my coleslaw was slightly dry, and was portioned quite smaller than most chicken places. Crispy Chick delivered on what matters most and that was some really good chicken tenders. Despite being delivered the tenders were still very crispy and juicy inside with a very pleasant seasoning mix on them. Went to Crispy Chick on Friday, May 31, 2024 around the lunch hour. I ordered the Mega meal(6 tenders) with a fruit punch. The restaurant was busy, clean and service was OK. I failed to check my order before leaving. Once I returned to my destination, the cole slaw was brown and had an odor to it. Apparently it was bad. I threw it out before taking a picture of it. I continued to eat the rest of the meal. Approximately 3 hrs of having consumed the meal, I began to have severe abdominal cramps, diarrhea, and sweating for the next 3 days. This was the only thing I ate that day, and clearly contracted food poisoning. Which has to run its course. As it is day 4, I still have some slight cramping, and I am not back to my usual self. Should this continue another day, I will contact my PCP. My advice, check your food upon leaving to ensure everything is fresh and cooked properly. Unfortunately, due my negative experience I will not patronize The Crispy Chick anytime in the future! read more

Hands down best tasting, filling chicken strips I've had in Cleveland for a while. Not kidding you. Every piece is cooked through perfectly and the chicken is so fresh and tender it all breaks apart perfectly like some slow cooked rack of ribs. Fries are the type you pray for to help finish up some of the leftover breading pieces. Last but not least the real toast, not just a piece of bread. If you're weird like me it might taste almost like a soft pretzel to you. This restaurant was really clean and stands out as a place to bring the family. I went here after a work meeting regarding our re-opening next week. I previously reviewed this place when they collaborated with CLE Biscuit Heads. Today this is just about the delicious hot and juicy fresh chicken tenders I enjoyed! I ordered a kids meal which consisted of two tenders and fries and a small drink ($4.58). There wasn't a line in the drive through and the young lady working the drive through was friendly and kind. The Crispy Chick is unique because they cook your tenders to order from fresh never frozen chicken . They use their signature batter and fry them but they are not greasy nor salty just the perfect mix of herbs and spices with a crunch you can only get with homemade batter on fresh chicken. Also no MSG if you didn't know some other restaurants use it to enhance the flavor of their food but it also makes us crave it more. I appreciate The Crispy Chick not using MSG . The chicken was hot even after the 10 minute ride home plus everything I did before I ate. The chicken is real whole chicken tenderloin. No gristle or fatty filler pieces . You can tell it's real because no two pieces were exactly the same ( looking at you boot shaped chicken nuggets).
