Definitely not intentional as they deserve every bit of praise. We've been coming here for about eight years and we absolutely love it. The suites feel like your own condo. Private entrances and garage, patio, fireplace, jetted tub, and completely unobstructed views of Snow Canyons cliffs. The property is a private, gated club with a guard who checks you in during your stay. Amenities include a pool, hot tub, spa, gym, yoga, pilates, onsite dining, kitchenette, tennis, pickleball, volleyball, basketball courts, 18-hole golf course, and beautiful walking paths. The entire neighborhood is gorgeous and is impeccably maintained. It's located in Ivins, about eight miles from downtown St. George and just five miles from Snow Canyon State Park. There's also a great grocery store named Harmon's about two miles away, perfect for stocking your fridge. With just over 60 rooms, the resort feels more like a boutique retreat than a commercial hotel. Every visit inspires me to stay off my phone and that's always a good thing. Black Desert is the place for golf bros, not for people like me. It's just like Palm Springs now. They had a singer at a bar in the lobby and the Golf Bro swagger is not for me. They're absolutely going to ruin Red Mountain, too. They're going to litter up Snow Canyon. I like the views best at Red Mountain. I have visited that spot many times over the past 27 years. I loved how it was walkable to the entrance of Snow Canyon and had unobstructed views of the red sand cliffs and a lava field with a trail. It was so peaceful sitting in my room with the door open, overlooking the lava field. Or lying in a hammock while watching the sunset colors on the red cliffs, or the moonrise, or a storm roll in. Losing my peaceful place to this overblown and overpriced "perfection is not for me." So, ultimately, they lost a customer. Also, it's the desert, and I just don't see how golf in the desert is sustainable with there already being a ton of golf. Everyone else can enjoy this, but I'm going to cry over the peace that was. 1 star because the staff were really nice and listened to me being upset about Red Mountain Resort being destroyed by the company they work for. But only 1 star because none of them have a deep understanding of what I loved about Red Mountain Resort with its funky older buildings, peace, and quiet. On Saturday, we came back to the room in the early afternoon to grab some water and things and then head back out. As we were walking into our room, we noticed the housekeepers were there, and it was very odd to see a purse, a tablet, and a plastic bag with stuff in it outside of our room. Housekeepers are not supposed to have personal belongings on their shift. We didn't think anything of it at the time, they ended up leaving before we did. Hours later, we come back and realize that our luggage had been touched. My luggage was unzipped and on the ground before I left. I come back to see that my stuff was put in my luggage. It was zipped up and standing up on its wheels. Which was very odd as I have never experienced that. My mom also went to her luggage and noticed the same thing that both of her luggage's were zipped up, which we thought was very odd since housekeeping should not be touching our personal belongings. I go into the bathroom to the side cabinet and notice my jewelry box was zipped up. I told my mom and she went to go check her jewelry box that was in her luggage that was zipped up and sadly she opens it to realize that a vintage ring, that's 25 years old, and a necklace from her best friend who passed away, was missing. We immediately called the front desk as we wanted to file a report. We later went to the front desk and spoke to a gentleman who then had his security manager come and filed the report. We told them how we thought it was very odd that housekeeping should be bringing their personal belongings on their shift and we also told them how violated we felt with them touching our personal belongings. We were told that HR would be involved, and housekeeping management would be involved as well. The next steps were the housekeepers would be spoken to, security footage would be reviewed, and someone would be in contact with my mom. It has been over three weeks and no one has contacted my mom. Last week I reached out to a gentleman who is a founding partner of Black Desert resort and explained the situation and asked for help. I also asked that the least they can do is refund my mom for this trouble and the poor communication. I have asked three times now for them to refund my mom due to the lack of communication and urgency of this incident. Other hotels and resorts have refunded customers for way less and I shouldn't have to ask multiple times due to this unfortunate inconvenience. I'm hoping this will be handled soon. I will not be recommending this place to family or friends.

The valet person is super nice and friendly, helping you with your luggage if needed. Location wise, this hotel is absolutely amazing! There are plenty of options to eat in the nearby restaurants, cafe shops ... Beautiful parks in the neighborhood. And of course, easy access going to Zion National Park!

The bar and restaurant has a staff meeting while customers are there waiting for service. The most important part of servicing your customer is the part where you service the customer. 5. The staff is constantly chatting to one another and not expecting any needs of their guest.. front desk is often on their cell phone. 6. The fries at the bar are okay - but they have so much garlic that they need to be served with an aioli or mayo based sauce instead of ketchup. You can tell this place is poorly managed and lacks structure and procedures it could be great and charming but it's just okay.

They were the perfect way to fuel up for the many sights and adventures in the St George area. We'll be back and we'll definitely stay with Peggy at the Mulberry Inn!
