I took my wife, our three kids and their grandmother to The Creamery while at the town's annual Annevar celebration. It was 7:35pm when the 6 of us walked in. The dining area was empty and the sign next to the order taker read in faded writing "KITCHEN CLOSED!" It looked as if it had been written there weeks ago and they just never bothered to erase it. The guy welcomes us and asks what we will have. As we start to order this lady walks by towards the kitchen interrupts us and rudely proclaimed that "the kitchen was closed and that sign says KITCHEN CLOSED and we close at 8!" Well excuse me! First of all, there is no place is the service industry for rude people. I don't care if you do own the place. You have no business yelling at or being rude with your paying customers! Secondly, if you are open til 8pm, you need to be open until 8pm and if you are operating at limited service, tell your customers when they walk in. Don't leave it to them to read your million signs (some not so customer friendly) littering the place.
This place has a lot of improvement to be desired for but I doubt I would ever give them another chance. Good luck staying in business with that attitude! read more
