I drove about 25 minutes to come eat here. The view was amazing. Drinks were great and the food was good. No complaints.

    Seafood trio special highly recommend

This was my first visit here since it was the cove. It was really pretty inside, open with high beamed ceilings. A nice bar in the center of the room with ample seating along large windows facing the river. We were seated right away and given menus and specials. We came in for the chowder, clam cake and lobster roll special so that's what I got. Also added a half dozen clam cakes app Clam cakes came out hot and were absolutely delicious. Not greasy and full of flavor. Chowder was good as well. Thick and creamy Lobster roll comes 2 ways, hot with butter or cold with mayo. Went with cold and it was very good. Plenty of meat and cooked just right Had a banana bread old fashioned. A little unconventional but very tasty. Overall was a great visit and wished I lived closer, I'd be there frequently!

What a fun and delicious dinner we had at The Cove Restaurant. Our amazing server Noelle, brought on her solid experience and great server energy. A server can really make or break your dining experience and Noelle really made it happen. She was very attentive and knew you could tell, having worked there for years. We were in the mood for some seafood and if that's what you're looking for, The Cove has it all. Have you ever tried Lobster Nachos? Well, theirs were delish and just what we were looking for. Just because we're in New England, we wanted even more lobster, so we ordered the 2 pound Baked Stuffed Lobster. It was filled with tons of scallops, shrimp and crabmeat and we both shared it. They also have a really big bar and there was a lot of drink shaking going on. It's winter-time now but i cannot even imagine how busy this place gets in-season as they have an amazing outdoor space with live music too. There are also a bunch of screens so you can watch your game too! But for winter, The Cove is a nice cozy spot to enjoy a great meal with family and friends. There's even a pretty fireplace if you can grab a table near it. Thanks again, Noelle for making our dining experience a memorable one and Happy Birthday!!

I brought my family from out of town to The Cove. We were able to sit outside. The service was amazing. The food was top notch. We ordered oysters, clam cakes, and calamari for appetizers that were all amazing and flavorful! My mom ordered the fish and chips with an impressive big piece of fish. Fish tacos were ordered and devoured. I ordered the Pan seared Salmon that was delicious! Family was very impressed! Didn't take many pictures we were too busy enjoying the food, view and each other's company!

This restaurant is right on the water and I really enjoyed the nautical feel and motif. It's right across from Battleship Cove so the scenery from windows are incredible. This really is more like country club type place and the food and the bill reflect that. The service was incredible and Hailey P. was an incredible server. I might have developed a small crush on her, lol. The full pound lobster roll was the very best I've ever had. It was entirely too much for me to eat. Plenty went back to the hotel with me. The oysters were phenomenal as was every facet of our meal. The building itself is stunning and very very clean. A sort of "upper crust" clientele for sure. The only drawback was that it's extremely expensive. It was three hundred dollars for lunch with four people. The fish and chips is world class.

What happened to The Cove it was a favorite go to. Went there Tuesday night dinner and drinks with a friend. Atmosphere is spectacular, water view size decor. So glad to be back. Till menu arrived. Shortened and prices up. Tuesday is sushi night. Asked a couple sharing it at the bar and they said they have had better at Mikes. We ordered anyway. Very blame. All three trays. I have had better at Market Basket. Still hungry we ordered the fried calamari always a favorite of mine at The Cove. It was cold and chewy. What happened

Food/Drinks: The food is delicious ! I got a 1lb lobster roll. Don't ask me why I thought I could finish it. Couldn't even finish half of it! I don't regret it. At all. Every bite was fresh , soft, buttery, lobster. The menu is filled with delicious items. The drinks were pretty strong, and super tasty. Location: This place is a summer staple you simply can't go wrong. A beautiful view of the bridge and ocean, with tables all around. Casual attire and spacious. They have parking and Valet! They also had live music , and it just brings the vibes all together! Service: Service was amazing ! Attentive, friendly, and helpful. Our waitress looked sm like Drew Barrymore lol You simply can't go wrong. You have to go ! specially in the summer !

We finally made it to The Cove on a rainy Thursday Night. We were seated pretty quick. Spacious and well lit in the dining spaces, we sat inside obvi. So for starters we had the clam cakes. They come in a half dozen and dozen. I told my boyfriend to get half, he decided on the whole dozen for the two of us.. don't get the whole dozen. Their crust was nice but of course it was mostly dough. There was some chopped clam inside but very little and what was in there was chewy. My BF had the Baked Stuffed Lobster( he took the vid -_-), the claws were the most tasty. The inside was again mostly filling and small shrimp/scallop. Definitely don't feel like it was our money's worth. I decided on the Catch of the Day which was halibut with a pineapple salsa along with broccoli and roasted red potatoes. My meal was great. The halibut was light and flaky, the broccoli a nice texture and the potatoes roasted to perfection. Everything came out hot so I loved that. Overall, the whole experience.. a 6/10. Our waitress was great as well, kept checking in (not in an annoying way) but making sure we were good.

Our go-to spot in the city! My husband and I celebrated here with our siblings the night before our wedding, and we've been back several times since. The food is consistently impressive, and the service is always top-notch and speedy! We didn't have a reservation, but my husband knew a manager who kindly seated us just before closing. The ambiance is great. Our Favorites: The buffalo tenders were spot-on with just the right kick (5/5), and the salmon with rice was beautifully prepared (4/5). The shrimp Mozambique had a great flavor (3.5/5), and the dessert was satisfyingly sweet (4/5). A few misses included the lobster roll, which we found bland (2/5), and the flatbread, which didn't meet expectations (2/5). Still, we love the food here and will keep coming back. Highly recommend trying it out!

The best from service food I have try so many seafood restaurants, and I have never had a stuffed lobster so good like this one is been the best stuffed lobster ever I will 10 out of 10. It was perfect. I hope I have the same experience next time that I go..

We really loved our dinner at the Cove. The oysters, steak and drinks were all great. Our server was really nice - a little slow but nice. We sat at a table overlooking the sunset, which was beautiful.

    Clam chowder- very good
    Kevin Y.

Came to the cove as I'm looking for good seafood on the water within the area. Look at the menu not a very large selection, but several things caught my eyes so started with the clam chowder. Excellent . I thought I ordered the stuffed clam appetizer but got some fritters of some kind- good , more carbs than I wanted but are a few then ordered the fish and chips. I'm a huge fish and chips fan so got my plate and wow- huge portions !! Can't complain but was a lot of breading and grease and breading so peeled that off for a great white cod that was tasty and flavorful. Couldn't eat it all but for nearly $30, I ate it. Overall, wasn't blown away, wasn't crowded, service was ok place was clean - just expected a more of a crowd and a lot of locals . Typically the key places are packed during the 7pm he but all in all, good food, pricy a bit , but good quality and was able to get a good meal and a couple beers. This area is very Portuguese- so wasn't like others but did enjoy the dinner and location .Recommend!

My friend knows much more about wine than I do, so he was the decision maker for our wine choices and we ordered a 1/2 bottle of red which we both found to be very delicious. Of course, we had to try some food too and the small bites menu was perfect with something to satisfy nearly every taste. We opted for the meat charcuterie, and it was beautifully presented with enough for the two of us to share. There is also a cheese charcuterie on the menu, but unfortunately there is not an option for a combined meat and cheese plate. We sat, sipped, and tasted for a while and never felt rushed. The atmosphere was so comfortable and we'll definitely consider going back here again.

I didn't have the best time at Providence Wine Bar…read more This might sound a little haughty, but hear me out: I can drink wine at home. I can browse a liquor store & pick out a bottle that exactly fits my preferences, my mood, & my budget. I can bring it home & uncork the wine, checking the cork for freshness. I can pull out my special glassware & pour myself a glass of wine & enjoy it on my own couch. So why go out to a wine bar, if not for the wine? For me, it's for the ambience & the experience. Both of those things at Providence Wine Bar were lacking. The lights were too bright (overhead & fluorescent) & the music was too loud (& just bad). The employees seemed both bored & nervous, with not much to do to occupy themselves. I was one of the only people in the bar, so I felt like I was under scrutiny - I'm certain this wasn't intentional but it was unfortunately how it came across. I brought a book but couldn't focus because of the lights & the music. I even caught myself with my fingers in my ears, trying to muffle the sounds of 2010s hyper pop. I have nothing against 2010s hyperpop, it's just that there's a time & place for everything, & maybe that isn't at a wine bar at 8 PM on a Wednesday. I just wanted to be done with my glass of wine so that I could leave. All of that being said, I wish them the best. It seems like they need a good manager's touch.

I lingered with a glass, reading my book while soulful music softly played, quiet conversations among the few other patrons drifted in and out of my consciousness, and the plaintive cries of seagulls outside were occasionally audible. Whimsical posters dressed up the plain but cozy room (a rabbit in a pink bathrobe holding a bottle of champagne and divers leaping into a wine glass). I could have spent all afternoon there, reading and sipping. But I had places to be. If I stayed longer I might have tried some of the food.
