Not a place to go if you want to be in the lap of luxury, or even the lap of semi-luxury…read more Shepiston is a few train transfers away from central London, but five minutes from Heathrow. A great place to stay if you arrive late or have an early flight and just want a place to crash. The staff is uber friendly, and the night watchman, even though he is no spring chicken, will gladly carry your bags up to your room. They also have converters for loan. A simple but filling breakfast, free wifi, hot showers, and very clean.

This was such a beautiful, old English B&B! So glad we went out of our comfort zone and went this…read moreroute instead of a known hotel chain! The owners were such gracious hosts and so helpful with lining up transportation and recommendations on what to see and where to eat. We will definitely be back to stay at Harmondsworth Hall Guest House! The full English breakfast was delicious! The charming little pub around the corner, The Crown, is not to be missed! We had a wonderful time chatting with the delightful owner! It was an amazing trip! We only wish we could have stayed in this quaint little village much longer!
What a wonderful surprise to find a lovely inn in a quaint village right next to Heathrow airport…read more The room is spacious and comfortable. The staff is friendly and helpful. There is a pretty garden to sit in. We had a good pub dinner right around the corner. And I went for a walk through beautiful meadows full of wildflowers that led to a lake with wild blackberries beside it. I will definitely return!
Gorgeous formal dining room
I didn't stay in a room here, but I did attend a weekend event here…read more The conference room was nicely sized. Staff left out water for us throughout the weekend which was nice and cold and kept everyone hydrated. Bathrooms were always clean and never shy of any toilet paper which was nice as the event was fairly large and people were in and out of the bathroom all day. I did use the elevator to get something from my friend's room as she was staying at the hotel. The elevator won't work without a keycard. That's important as it's a safety precaution. The hotel is also centrally located and near the bus stop. Not a bad choice !
My flight arrived early at Heathrow airport and I couldn't check into my Airbnb at that time so I…read morebooked a day pass at the London Heathrow Marriott. Great idea! I had access to a room and the amenities from 10am-6:00pm. The room was lovely. The first thing I did was shower and took a nap. I was so tired from a 12 hour flight. The bed was very comfortable. Then I went down to the restaurant on the premises and I ordered dinner: fish and chips lol. Food was good and so was the drink. I went back to the room and gathered my belongings and called my taxi to take me to my London Airbnb. If you have never used a day pass, please do especially after long flights or layovers. It's a game changer. The Marriott usually has day passes and their hotels are top notch.

Howdy folks. I am going to start this review off by saying that I absolutely love this place. I…read morewill even say it in all caps. I LOVE THIS PLACE! I am sure that you can probably already tell where this review is headed. Either way, strap on your safety belts and put your helmuts on because we are blasting off across the pond with this one. Before I begin this review, I want to say that London is my all time favorite world city. I am a pretty well traveled person and I can honestly say that there is no other place in this world that comes close to being as fabulous as London. But unfortunetly this fab place is not cheap. Especially when it comes to finding affordable lodging. This is where the Oakwood Bed and Breakfast Heathrow comes in. Wanna read more? Let's do it. I actually discovered this groovy spot back in December of 2024 and it has been my go to place to stay everytime I'm in London. I had traveled to London to shoot some videos for my YouTube channel and after arriving at Gatwick Airport, I decided it was time to book a room. Last minute bookings are my thing. I was browsing through Agoda when I spotted the Oakwood's ad. The primary photo of the building reminded me of something I'd seen in The Hobbit. But it wasn't the photo that caught my attention. It was the price that caught my eye. I believe it was around fifty something pounds. I was like Wowzers! That's a steal. The only thing about it was this place was a bit of a ways away from Central London. But after looking around the area on Google maps I realized that there was a Tube station nearby. I was like Bingo! I decided to book. Upon arriving at the Oakwood I was greeted by a friendly man who reminded me of the BBC's very own John Sweeney. Anybody remember him? I wish I could remember his name. I should know it by now having stayed at the Oakwood as many times as I have. But for the sake of this review, I'll just refer to him as Mr. Sweeney. He's actually one of the nicest people I've ever met in my life. And not a phony let me sell you an upgrade kind of nice. But a genuinely nice person. From the moment he opened the door and greeted me I felt welcomed here. The check in process was a breeze. Mr. Sweeney suggested some groovy spots to check out and even recommended some good places to eat that were nearby. After this he showed me to my room. It was a cozy little room that I felt had all of the amenities that a guest room should have. There was free wifi in the room which was very fast. Plenty of outlets to plug in and charge your devices. A mini fridge to store all of your alcoholic beverages. Smirnoff Cranberry Vodka for me. There was even a hot pot with plenty of packets of instant coffee, creams, and sugars. That was a major turn on for a coffee freak like me. Oh and the room even came with a classic old school key. I felt like I could be in the early 20th century. Very British and very groovy. I loved it. I also want to talk about how clean the room was. Seriously this place was emmaculately clean. I have stayed in many different hotels and inn's during my travels. But I don't think I have ever stayed at a place that was as clean as the Oakwood. Major props to the house keeping staff here. You know something I want to say that I really like about the Oakwood is the location. It's located in a town called West Drayton and I must say that I've really grown to love this place. There are plenty of stores and places to eat that are nearby. There is even a pub right next door to the inn. So if you have a late night craving for a brew you can drink till your heart's content and then it's an easy walk back to your room. Also, like I previously mentioned, there is a train station nearby that is easily walkable where you can catch The Tube which will take you anywhere you want to go in Greater London. Oh and I can't forgot to mention the fine folks at Arya Barber. But they'll be getting their own special review soon. So I guess I'll go ahead and wrap this review up by saying that if you are planning to visit London and you want a place to stay that is clean, cozy, and has genuine friendly service, I highly recommend the Oakwood Bed and Breakfast. You won't be disappointed. And if you are, well, there's always a crappy Travelodge nearby. Oh and one more thing. If you do choose to stay at the Oakwood, don't forget to tell Mr. Sweeney that Nasty Nathanial sent you. Alrrrrrrrriiiiiiiight! NASTY NATHANIAL
