STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS! Terrible place for families,…read morecouples, and people with children. I have stayed in accommodations throughout Canada, the USA, England, Ireland, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, and Japan and have NEVER been so displeased with the service. I've spent $15 a night in hostels in London cleaner and better staffed than this one! If you want to stay in a dirty badly staffed hellhole feel free! If I could give less stars I would. The location was good and four months before I had stayed while in town with my sister and I assumed it would be an easy last minute place to book. My boyfriend and I arrived around noon after both working long difficult days followed by a long and sleepless flight. We had lunch across the street while waiting for our room to be finished being cleaned. We were told the woman would hurry, to which I replied "take your time." Clearly she didn't take her time as shortly after arriving as I unpacked for the almost 2 week stay I found a USED CONDOM IN THE NIGHTSTAND. Absolutely disgusting. I immediately went to the front desk to ask for the room to be cleaned again/to switch rooms. There was absolutely no one at the desk. I looked around the hotel and waited but no one appeared and we had a busy schedule. We left a note describing our problem and went out for the day. When we came back the room very obviously hasn't been touched and the condom was still marinating in the drawer. There was a new and very rude man was working the front desk. I asked if he got the note (MANY hours after leaving it) and he picked it up off the desk and read it very clearly for the first time. We then had a conversation that consisted of me being polite and asking for the nightstand to be removed and him implying my boyfriend and I had left it there and that it was my fault for not reporting it sooner. He essentially refused to switch our rooms or bring the cleaner over. He repeated three times that I should have told them sooner which was IMPOSSIBLE because him and every other living being in that building seemed to have screwed off to go make other people's lives more inconvenient. Eventually he came and aggressively removed the dresser all while displaying an extreme amount of attitude. What a nasty man and what a nasty hotel. I'm sorry that I don't go searching through every drawer in a hotel room within the first two minutes looking for dirty used condoms. And implying we left it to get a free night or something??? Insulting. They never would have implied that of a older couple. We at no point even suggested any discounts only that it be removed or our room switched. Other than that, one lamp didn't work, one lamp flickered in a terrifying murder way, our soap was taken every time the cleaners came and not replaced( wtf???) our cups were not changed once during the two weeks, towels only changed about twice, quite clearly there were many days the cleaning staff didn't even come in. I do not blame the cleaners for ANY OF THIS I understand they are given a set amount of time to handle each room and are probably paid terribly to add to it. I am completely disgusted with the way it was handled and with the behavior of the man at he front desk. This was a health risk and completely disgusting. Imagine if I had been traveling with a child? Imagine if they had opened the drawer and touched it? Exposed and DAMP bodily fluids are dangerous and in a low drawer like that? What if the user had STDs? It was insulting and disgusting and unprofessional. I would have been happy with an apology and a solution. Instead I was treated with contempt. My boyfriend and I are returning to the area for the month of April and will be seeking accommodation elsewhere. Airbnb is a much better option. For almost $1000 you would expect some professionalism. I will be reviewing this place on every platform available as I'm so incredibly offended by how it played out.

Another Cricklewood find! On the outskirts of my neighborhood but walkable yes. The Guest House…read morepart of the name is correct. You can book a room for I think 45 pounds a night for a single bed room. Big, light, high ceiling'd pub with lots of seating. There's a cozy looking outside area with those heater ufo stands and a tele. Looks like it'd be a beautiful hidden oasis in my times of ghetto overload here this summer. Came on a Sunday for the roast. My touring American friend's first! And it did not disappoint. Roast beef with the veggies and the yorkshire pudding and the gravy. ooh twas the gravy that done me in. The waitress was a little awkward and seemed confused that we were asking things from her. But she was nice enough. The low star review is for the tending service. I walked up and ordered a margarita that was on their regular cocktail list (Hey a california girl can dream she can get a good one down the street right?). FIrst bartender I ordered from actually grimaced and sank a little at me. I actually felt bad and said "I don't have to order that one" . He says, "no, I just got off (so he didn't want to stay there another minute to make a drink for me) " Seriously? The second bartender that came by was his replacement.....and I'm assuming apprentice...because he too could not make my drink, but for lack of skills. shudder. oh well, I tried, good to know. SO, when ordering there, stick with the classics...no the basics. And it will all be ok. And for sure go for a tasty roast. BUT not the olive and bread plate. They gave us sliced wheat sandwich bread, to be fair they might have run out of the fancy stuff. So maybe double check with them before you order that.
