The posted hours say 7pm but they close whenever they want. Regardless of what they're I'll say, that they close at 6:45pm, they close whenever they want. I've been here at 6:40pm, 6:35pm, 6:30pm and found the associates literally just standing inside doing NOTHING, but they won't help you or let you in. I rush here after work and it's been close to 6 different times I haven't been able to shop because they won't open. It's ridiculous. And when asked for their corporate office number they say "we don't have one of those" huh? read more

The manager, Paloma is really nice and I felt like I was shopping at an expensive store, not an outlet. I find my favorite brands here at really good prices. Today I purchased a holiday gift set from Estee Lauder (which was probably from this last season) for only $20. I cannot wait to open it and see the products. I think the full sized mascara alone is worth that price! While Paloma was helping me, I heard another sales person assisting a gentleman who was buying a gift. The associate was being very patient and making great suggestions for a present. Hope this team gets some accolades from corporate because they are awesome! read more

This is one of my all time favorite stores during my visit to the Gilroy Outlets. They carry all kinds of retailers, but my favorite is MAC. Prices are so low, I can't ignore going in here and walking out with something. Just went yesterday and walked away with 2 lipsticks and one cream double sided blush stick, all under $30. read more

My family and I visited this location on November21st, 2017 around 6 pm. The two employees working there have no business working in retail or customer service. They stood in the corner of the store and gossiped the entire time we were there. Now, I've said this before, and I'll say it again. I don't need the red carpet rolled out, but I do expect acknowledgement paired with a greeting. Can we also take a moment to talk about the terrible stench ? It smelled like stale merchandise. I wrote this back in Feb of 2009...i just realized that i accidentally wrote this under napa's store... I was told by a vlogger that the hello kitty line by MAC was finally at the CCO stores. I jammed to Gilroy after work knowing that I'd be stuck in traffic ( by the way it's like an hour away from me). This experience was based off a few months back... I finally get there and the girls behind the counter (three of them to be exact) completely ignored any customers coming into the store. It was so dead in there, they really didn't need that many people working there. It turns out they were hoarding all the new hello kitty MAC cosmetics behind the counter so they could purchase them...ALL OF THEM! There wasn't anything on the shelves... they were unpacking everything and basically saving it all for themselves. I didn't come all the way here to waste my time and gas for this! Luckily I got the district managers name, number, address, and fax. I will never spend a dime at this place again... Go to Vacaville or Napa instead! At least their employees treat you the way you want to be treated. read more

I came in a few weeks ago and half of the store was empty! I asked the sales gal what happened and she said "were doing inventory". I was super pissed b/c I drove from Santa Clara in the heat (plus the gas prices). Err! And the sales gal was really snobby. It's funny because when us ladies go out to buy makeup we get annoyed because the sales associates are too pushy.. then you come to a place like this where the sales associates are not pushy, or very verbal, at all! But I think i'll take the not pushy over feeling pressured! Like everyone says its hit or miss! Although being the true makeup junkie that I am, i always leave with something! Everythings laid in front of your eyes and you get to choose from whatever brand that tickles your fancy :) Clinique high impact mascara for $10? Oh yes please! Mac blush for $13? This store is good for the bargain/treasure hunter that doesn't have a particular product in mind. They carry the overstock or discontinued stuff from a few high end brands. So, if you go to any CCO, bear in mind that it's self-serve to an extent. The colors/shades/products they carry are somewhat random and vary from store to store and even week to week (esp. MAC). Once in a while you'll score with some nice shades and/or nice brushes at a discount. The employees try to be helpful but they don't seem to really know about the product lines they carry (Bobbi Brown, Estee Lauder, MAC). That being said it is, afterall, an outlet store and not the brand's actual counter. General questions are addressed pretty well ("I'm looking for a blue eye liner") but more specific questions ("What's the difference between this powder and the one next to it?") they may or may not be able to answer. What's nice about this CCO versus the Napa branch is that they allow the customer to handle the MAC tester bin with all the testers together (while a staff watches to make sure you don't go running off with a gritty used sample that a thousand people have touched?). The Napa branch requires you to ask the staff to pull the testers out of the case every time you want to see a color. That's pretty annoying and time consuming. But what prompted me to write a review on this particular CCO was the answer one staff member gave me that left me slack-jawed. I saw there was a tester for a shade I wished to buy. I couldn't tell if there was any left but since the tester was still out I thought I'd double check. I walked over and asked the staff member if they had any more and handed her the tester. Her answer was: "My shift just started so I wouldn't know." Followed by silence and an I-can't-help-you-anymore smile. What the-? Never a good answer. I don't wish to tell anyone how to do their job, but there was something sorely lacking in this case. Here's a hint on what might have been a better answer (it works even if one's shift just started): "Well, let's go take a look..." Hmm, maybe we'd both learn something...? Overall, keep an open mind and have fun treasure hunting here. And yes, they have a 3 count limit on anything per customer. It's their company policy, please play nice. 4 stars for the discount pricing 0 stars for the lighting (way too dark in the back of the store) 2.5 stars, tho they do greet incoming folks (that's nice), this is for said poor encounter with staff 3 stars total, rounding up, a lot. read more

Can't complain - I scored some cool stuff this past saturday! Ladies, if you missed out on past collections or hit the pan on your fave shades from some of these palettes (read on), it will be worth your time to get your pretty butt over here :) With my self-imposed $50 spending limit, I walked away with: MAC Starflash shadows for $10 - Walked away with Glamour Check! (recently re-released - currently selling in MAC stores now for $14.50), Go, and Dreammaker. They had a couple of other colors, if I remember correctly. And dude (dudettes?), with fall season coming up real soon, $26 for the MAC Fascinating Ruby Smokey Eyes palette was a total steal! They also had the other palettes from the same collection (Warm eyes, Cool eyes, and Classic too, I think). I was totally excited to get my hands on this one. Other items that caught my attention but resisted: MAC Shadowy Lady quad from the Cult of Cherry collection MAC Tempting Quad from the Cult of Cherry collection MAC Mineralize Eyeshadow Trio in Danger Zone (and other colors, I forgot the names) from the Red She Said Holiday Collection A couple of lipglasses from the MAC Fafi collection A couple of lip palettes from the MAC Fascinating Ruby collection A MAC brush set, possibly from a holiday collection There were a ton of other great steals for Estee Lauder, Bobbi Brown, Clinique, etc, but I didn't get a chance to play around with it because I had to run - hubby was waiting in the car and texting me to hurry up! This rating is for the customer "service," and not the products. If I could give a negative star rating, I would. I have been frequenting this place for years after discovering that they sold high-end cosmetics at a 30% discount. That's where the 1 star rating comes in. The selection here is better than the CCO in Vacaville. Make sure to come at the beginning of the month, that's when they get their new shipment in. Items are hit or miss. Each time I have been in there, the staff has been so rude. Reaching in front of me and nearly pushing me aside when I'm looking at a display. Dirty looks from the nasty forty-five year old manager ... does life really suck that bad, lady? I kept thinking it was a fluke, I have worked in retail (clothing, cosmetics, banking) for five years and know that everyone can have their "off days," but this poor treatment is consistant. I should know, I always made sure to stop by this place on the way up to SFSU after a weekend at home (Salinas) ... so that's five years of going back to that place and being treated like that. I guess I'm a masochist ... treat me like sh*t and I'll come back for more AND hand over my paycheck. Being a product junkie, I always manage to spend at least $70 in here each visit ... but I think I've come to my senses and I'll hold on to my money and spend it elsewhere. read more

This cosmetic outlet is for us beauty hoarders looking for discounted and limited editions products. The selection really varies from CCO to CCO... but I got lucky and got my hands on a Hello Kitty eyeshadow palette from MAC. =O) Most of the MAC stuff is behind the counter so you have to ask a sales associate to bring it out for you to take a look at it. I definitely recommend making a list of products of products before coming. Some stuff you can get at the MAC store still so I would suggest only picking up limited editions and discontinued colors here. You rather permanent colors at MAC stores because they are newer than the ones at the CCO that could have been sitting there for years. read more

It's no Sephora or Nordy or Mac... but they have decent items for cheaper prices. Whenever I stop by the Gilroy outlets I usually stop in here just to see what MAC items that have on hand. It's a hit or miss. They have a decent amount of items, including brands from estee lauder, bobbi brown, and clinique just to name a few. Sometimes they have just regular inventory stock and sometimes they have the some limited edition line items. Not to shabby for a makeup haul in the gilroy! If your expecting to find a particular item in mind don't come here Bc it's just very random things. It's an outlet store. So they have left over stuff that's not sold. But if you love makeup and never have enough stop by here to add something new and at a cheaper price than regular retail stores.. read more

This is an outlet for sure.. that said you won't always find what you are looking for and it's hit or miss. If you come here with a list you will leave empty handed and pissed. but it's an OUTLET so part of the fun is seeing what you can get a steal on so I always go in with an open mind. If I could give it negative stars, I would. I called first because I was looking for a specific product that was suddenly discontinued and I use it regularly. It seemed like the only place in the country that had some left. I asked if they had plenty and was told they did. Little did I know that there is an idiotic policy of only 3 of the same items per customer per day. I asked why the heck they didn't mention that when I called after having driven 50 miles in the rain to get these things. The manager was not helpful, a bit rude, and not at all willing to give me the name of anyone at corporate so I could complain. She would not even give me her name! Seriously. She did give me a card for the store with the "manager's name" but not her own. You know that when you call they will ask who waited on you... So I didn't buy any product at all - I would not give that company a dime with a policy like that. I was just trying to load up on the product with the hope that the company would rethink their stupidity and bring it back - but the 3 only policy is to "prevent" resellers from buying stuff. Talk about paternalistic and stupid, not to mention idiotic. You'd think in this economy they would want to move the stuff. Ack. Anyway. I would not recommend shopping there or if I had any say in the world, to not buy any Estee Lauder product at all. And for those who said the place is a dump - it is. Don't bother coming here. This review is solely based on their FALSE ADVERTISEMENT for their 75% off products that includes "10% off extra". All 3 women who approached every shopper, told us everything on the 75% off shelf is on sale and it also includes a 10% off, while using her hands to describe the entire shelf we looked at. It's a complete blatant lie, because as soon as we arrive at the counter, they tell us their system is down and that the products we have do not apply to their extra 10% off and that they need to call someone in to fix it. Mind you, they said the same thing to the customer at the cashier before us. So this CONTRADICTS what was informed to us when they walked around to let us know about their sales. The products we bought it from was from the exact shelf that they pointed at. This is a complete scam! Please take your business elsewhere. They should've been honest from the start. This place is truly a hit or miss. Yesterday, I went outlet shopping and made a stop into the CCO to see if they have anything I can add to my freelance makeup kit. My previous first visit was kind of disappointing because the selection was dismal. I just came out w/ a clinique eyeliner and palette. There wasn't really anything from the MAC selection that really popped out. The second visit, which was yesterday, was a lot better. I got some stuff from MAC's previous holiday collections, a nice warm palette and a duo mineral blush. If you have the MAC Pro Card, CCO helps w/ acquiring LE goodies that you need to restock or you had originally failed to purchase. Overall, the store just seemed better stocked and I came out a happy camper. Overall, the women behind the counter were really nice and asked me if I wanted to see anything else, but weren't pushy. It's a small store w/ a decent size collection of makeup. I guess your overall experience really depends if they have what you especially want for your personal cosmetic artillery. read more

As said in other reviews, this is definitely a hit or miss store. The main reason I go to this store is to look. I rarely have the intention of buying anything, and when I do, it is perfume because that seems to be the only product that is always on hand. The deals in this store can be amazing but the products can also be outdated. I have never had a wonderful experience in this store with the associates. Unlike other Gilroy Premium Outlet stores, this is one of the few stores that you are rarely greeted when you walk through the door although there is an associate there. Also, associates seem to always be talking to each other behind the register, rather than on the floor helping the customers. If you ever have a question regarding a product, go to a counter at Macy's before going to this store to purchase it. If you ask an associate for help, that is the response that they will give you. ***This store does have a maximum policy. If you are planning on going for a specific product due to it being discontinued, bring a friend along. You can only buy 3 of the same item at a time. read more

Lots of good stuff in this store. I always find skincare for cheap here. I'm into Origins at the moment and they were selling the Dr. Weil's gift set here for $54.50. These gift sets are expensive in stores and hard to find during the holidays. They carry Clinique, M.A.C, Clarins, Estée Lauder, and Bobbi Brown. I ended up buying a really great Clarins mascara for $14. Sometimes it's hit or miss for me but most of the time, but I find 1 or 2 items worthy of purchase at each visit. read more

The worst. First phone call: Do you carry Clinique pressed Perfecting Powder? Response: No, but come on in, we have pressed powders that are similar. Thirty minutes later I call because I can't find the store in the outlets. It takes two more phone calls to get someone to tell me where exactly they are. Once inside the store, I ask the sales clerk about pressed powder. No, she says, we don't have anything similar. I tell her that I was told differently by someone in the store an hour ago which was why I drove all the way there. She says, do you know who you spoke to? WTF does it matter? It's a small store. I count two employees in it, and I'm guessing maybe two more in the back. SOMEONE told me to come on in - do you want to sell some make up or not?? Lastly, I take a look at their Clinique lipsticks. I count eight samples of lipsticks, not one of which is in stock. I count three lipsticks that ARE in stock, none of which are on display as a sample. lmao. Worst. Store. Ever. read more

This review is mostly for the customer service at this store. I love cosmetics and MAC/Estee Lauder/Clinique/Bobbi Brown, etc. are all great line of cosmetics... and getting these great cosmetic items at a discount (mostly 30%) is a fabulous deal. On the downside, the customer service at this location is TERRIBLE. Many of the girls who work here do not know much about their products (and it looks like the staff changes quite frequently). Also, I cannot stand the so-called "assistant manager" at this store. She is extremely rude and obnoxious. I've visited this store many times, regardless of the 30+mile drive, and each visit the assistant manager was there, it has been unpleasant. She is very unfriendly - she does not ever greet her customers, say "thank you" or "you're welcome" - EVER. Once I asked for an item that I found a tester for, and she said, "we don't sell these anymore" and put the tester back on the shelf. (Why do you have testers for items you don't sell??) Next time I wanted to purchase MAC pigments, and she only let me purchase 1 because I had 2 other eye shadows I wanted to buy. I understand there is a limit to what I can buy here (3 of each ITEM), but apparently to this woman, "item" means category of items (in this case, "eye" products). Ugh. Besides the customer service, the items are usually in good shape and the prices are good. I've seen some cosmetic items here with batch codes from 2003 (gross), but there are hidden treasures here. Would I go back? Probably. Would I recommend to others? No, you should go at your own risk. Discounted makeup is always a plus, and this store seems to have items $5-$15 off its original prices. They have a small selection but I mean if it's something you'd normally buy at full price elsewhere it's nice to get some money off even if it isn't dirt cheap. I didn't go in looking for any specific product but I did end up getting a travel size Smashbox bb cream for only $13. The brands that I remember seeing were Mac, Estee Lauder, Origins, GlamGlow, Clinique, and Smashbox. I noticed a couple of their GlamGlow items were marked down a pretty good amount though. For example, I saw their Dream Duo was like $47 and it's sold at Sephora for $59. Worth checking out if you're already at the outlets but wouldn't go out of my way to come just for this store. read more

In a case near the register are some of EL's famous themed travel mirrors, solid perfume cases, etc. ORIGINS-cosmetics, bath gels, bath soaks, soaps, body lotions, scrubs, shampoo/conditioner, spa wraps, wooden massagers. MAC-limited edition eyeshadows, lip products, blushes, bronzers, nail polishes, as well as pieces from their regular cosmetic, skincare collections and make-up bags. This is a good place to come for past season or discontinued products and collections. I noticed the products are about 25% less than department or cosmetic store prices. I was just browsing and didn't need assistance, but I noticed what most of the reviews are mentioning about the customer service lacking. A man came in to pick up some items for his wife and I heard him asking for assistance finding them. The clerk immediately told him they didn't have the colors or items he was asking for without even leaving the register area. I saw him go look for himself and he found at least one of the colors the clerk told him they didn't carry. Too bad, but I don't expect much service at outlets. Prices are good but the company policy is that they cannot give prices out over the phone. No website and no regular stock so if if it ends up being worth the trip, that'll be great, but you won't know until you make a trip of it. Kind of strips a lot of the respect away when the leftover stock is managed this way. I mean it's still Lancôme and Urban Decay brands, why not give your customers the respect they deserve by not forcing them to visit in order to determine whether it's worth their time or not? Perhaps this is outlet culture in general, but saving a few dollars is not that big of a deal to me when I could be treated well at Macys, Sephora, Ulta or other major retailers. read more

What I love about this place is the price. It's less than the prices at the department stores. If you're a cosmetic lover and a fan of Estee Lauder products, you should check out the store if you're ever in Gilroy. It's 30% less than the department stores. I would drive about 30 minutes to the Gilroy Outlet just to shop here. But if you're looking for a place that would sit you down and do a full make over and try different products on you, then this isn't the place. I came in today and it was pretty dead! The service was alright. Nothing to mean, nothing too helpful. The MAC selection wasn't as big as I was hoping it to be. I came in looking for brushes. I bought a set for $32. Not too bad =) And I left with 2 shadows for like $10 each. The mineralized I think were $12.25? But the pigment I chose they were out of stock! Boooo. I was kinda in a rush cause my son was crying and wanted out of his stroller but I got pretty much what I wanted! I ended up coming back in like 5 minutes later to purchase 2 more shadows, lol!
