This place is awesome. We had just finished doing a several mile walk through their network of public footpaths and were starving. This little place is right across from their main square (although basically everything is right in the same area of this small town). They have a large window displaying their pastries and hand pies, and it looked good so we gave it a try. Very glad we did. The hand pies are amazing. I got a bacon leek and cheese pie which was perfect. The filling was tasty and the crust was very nicely cooked all around. Also got a plain scone with jam and clotted cream, which was so good. I really wish scones in the US were made like this. Finally the coffee was surprisingly good. I ordered an Americano and it was one of the best I've ever had. Whatever espresso they use, it's extremely smooth. Also it's a casual style eatery; basically they pump out a large batch of their food and have it in A display case that you order from. So it's total instant gratification. read more
