The high tea looked really good. Unfortunately, there was no space inside the cafe, so we had to settle for takeaway and look for another place to grab some tea.

You can eat your cheese and onion slice while on the lanes watching those weird people who dress as statues and only come to life frighten the hell out of the kids when they fill their cups with pennies, or you can scoff your iced bun while in the park watching the fantastic nutters putting on their shows or by the river as the boats go by. The majority of the staff dont really seem too happy, the odd couple do though which kind of half makes up for the grumpy one. And the prices which i believe are quite steep for what you actually get. But prices are stiffling everywhere now days so its hard to really justify whether its expensive or not depending on who you compare them to. Druckers is easy to find and does have quite a large seating area, the toilets are set right at the back out of the way.

All feature crisp crusts and great solid texture unlike the mushy industrial breads at the supermarkets. Their lunch sandwiches are a treat as well. And beyond the breads the pastries and cakes are great as well. Even the pizzas offered Thursday evenings are excellent. The staff are friendly as well, but it can get very busy so a wait can be expected. The bread is a bit pricier than average at about £3 each, but you get what you pay for. They even offer half loaves as well. Also by afternoon you'll have only a choice of what's left, but we've never been disappointed. If you love great bread this is the place for you.

They have an extensive breakfast menu, with a bakery attached, making delicious fresh bites of all types, and I had no complaints on the coffee. There is outdoor and indoor seating available where plenty of students post up with their laptops for study sessions. Service was quick and friendly.
