Unfortunately, this experience was incredibly disappointing. I have a fully trained service dog who is ADA compliant and an essential part of my medical treatment plan. Despite this, we were denied a ride to the pumpkin patch because of my service dog. My dog is also trained around horses, so this was never something I anticipated. This was the first time I've ever experienced an access issue like this, and it completely changed how I feel about a place that once held so many happy memories for me. We ultimately left and went to Hentze Family Farm, where we had an amazing experience. It's especially disappointing to feel excluded from a place you've loved since childhood because you rely on a trained service animal. Businesses need to understand their responsibilities under the ADA and ensure that guests with disabilities are treated fairly and provided equal access to their services. I truly hope Thistledown Farms takes the time to review its service animal policies and staff training so that other people don't have to experience the same disappointment.

U-pick fruit harvesting is fun activity that sort of reconnects you to nature and the "old ways"…read morewhile letting you bring home the "fruits" of your labor at affordable prices. And being only a 15-20 minute drive out of Eugene, a great way to spend a few hours with friends & family. We spent about 2 hours picking low-hanging cherries (really no need to climb ladders since fruit was so abundant) and got about 10 lbs for $30. The cherries were so fresh, sweet & juicy.......this from "sampling a few" which is also part of the fun of u-pick........that and pit-spittin' contests! The orchard is a laid back place with plenty of other varieties of fruit to pick and/or sample. Or simply just to purchase pre-picked. Different fruits have different "peak" seasons for harvesting so do some research and then go and enjoy nature's bounty.

Within 10 seconds of leaving my car, I'm approached by a staff member that stated there were too many people there & they wouldn't allow dogs. Fast forward to today, Friday. I come back hoping less people are here as my special needs son, not myself does not do well around a lot of people. After 10 minutes of waiting in line with no one selling tickets, I ask if they cover the entrance of DSP's. The guy asks what that is; I explain & his response was, "no we don't do that because then we won't make as much money as we do'. Well, so I didn't let my son down, I fork out the 20. For my son, his 2 DSP's & myself. We won't be returning. NOT SPECIAL NEEDS FRIENDLY. By the way, Hentze farms didn't charge for my dsp & the tractor ride had a bigger tractor & a way more scenic ride.

Speaking as someone who's gotten a tree by nearly every method possible: store bought fake, boy scout tree lots, christmas tree farms, and even venturing out into the woods to chop down a tree myself in the snow. This is this is the best. When you first arrive, make a beeline to the shed filled with Christmas decorations and a cafe to fulfill all your hot chocolate and cider warming needs. Next, wander next door where expert wreathmakers are at hand to whip together swag and fancy wreaths for decorating your house. Then, head outside to meet a jolly helper who will guide you to the proper hay ride to their different fields for whatever variety of fancy tree you desire. After you chop down your tree and get it loaded back to onto the tractor, relax under the large tree where they have a roaring bonfire to stay warm and enjoy the picturesque view and surrounding festivities while they bale your perfect tree for you to take home.

She yelled at me & my 2 kids when we asked where the maze entrance was after $40 to go in. Then after my littlest finished, she wouldn't give him a sticker until after he "correctly" answered. It felt like she did not like kids which is odd for a pumpkin patch. Then the worst was several of the signs in the maze were incorrectly labeled & the trails were poorly maintained. This place definitely needs a bit of TLC & a training on customer service. But, there was free easy parking & a few good free photo ops.
