A++!! We did the haunted farm experience and the pumpkins and I'm so happy to say both were wonderful, well worth the price, and parking is ample! My son loved the whole place, they employ lively folks, the atmosphere is friendly and productive and fast paced and I FINALLY have a patch I'll go every year for pumpkins and fun. Let's be perfectly honest, there aren't a lot of pumpkin patches near this area that are this much fun. Their hay ride is fast and wild and you get to chuck pumpkins at things! Their pumpkin train is also fast and fun and has cushioned seats! There are goats to love, face painting, a hay maze, the classic corn maze and the pumpkin slingshots are hard to walk away from. The produce is high quality and well priced. The haunted experience was extensive, it goes around the whole farm so it's like doing multiple haunted houses. The actors were awesome. They take into consideration the best way to have fun and there is obvious love in this endeavor. Right under I5, the space is utilized to it's last inch and conveniently located. Unfortunately we did not have as great of an experience as we did last year. What we did differently this year was walk over to the store from overflow parking. What I figured out is that this establishment has poor communication with paths for walking and not walking. There were no signs indicating not to walk down. It was our first time on that side of the farm so we didn't know. My family and I were walking down a path to the store. All of a sudden a tractor comes zooming and starts honking at us. We were confused and the driver motioned for us to turn around. So we apologized and did so. As we were walking back the driver continued to honk at us. We could not exit the path from the side. I get it we weren't suppose to walk down that path, however, there were no signs clarifying this. At the same time it was quite embarrassing to be honked at continuous down a path in front of a busy crowd. As they passed us we received a pretty nasty glare from the driver. Sorry we are human and make mistakes. Like I said, it was our first time on that side of the farm. Did not feel a very welcoming vibe after that so we left. read more

Our quick visit to farm was last minute. On our way home we wanted to visit and grab some fruits. The farm was quiet and gave off a sense of tranquility. Maybe because it was earlier in the day but I enjoyed the moment of quiet. There's a little dirt patch where you can park your car and head on inside the barn. Inside, they have an array of different fruits and vegetables. On the register was a teen girl with a cool tie dye shirt. She was friendly and helpful. She answered our questions about the farm and the different produce they offered. We enjoyed their pears. My brother who ate one in the parking lot immediately ran back inside and purchased more. One of my close friends from high school relocated to Oregon a few years back. Ever since then, she has been raving about how she fell in love with Oregon's the quality of life, breathtaking scenery, and of course the awesome food! I finally took the opportunity to visit her and told her that I wanted to experience all of it...especially the famed local produce. Enter Johnson Farms - one of the oldest family-owned agricultural farms in Lane County. These guys are strong advocates for natural farming techniques, no-spray programs, and hand-picking their produce daily for maximum freshness. While that's fine and dandy, I feel like it is more fun to pick the produce yourself. If you agree and decide to check this place out, the plastic buckets for picking produce are on the left side of the entrance to the Johnson Vegetable Farm Store. Grab a bucket or two (or more since their produce is insanely delicious), head in to the store to decide on what to pick, and then ask an employee for directions. Grab as many fruits/vegetables as you like and then complete your purchase back at the store. We stopped by in early July so we decided to drive a half mile down the road to load up on marionberries and raspberries. They were so good! Quality food starts off with quality ingredients and berries from here certainly made the cut. We ended up making pancakes and muffins with the berries and froze whatever we didn't use immediately. Anyway, the entire experience was quite fun and we would've stayed longer if we had more time. I highly recommend that anyone looking for produce or a way to spend quality time with the family to stop by. Final Tips -Choose the dark marionberries that are easily picked. This place was a lot of fun. We took our 4 kids ages 8-14 and they LOVED it. $6 Wild hayride where you throw small pumpkins at Scarecrows on the way to the Pumpkin patch. They drop you off there so you can pick a pumpkin at 30cents a lbs. We got 3 pumpkins for just under $10. After (or before) you pick a pumpkin if you choose or walk around the field you can launch small pumpkins at targets with giant slingshots (at no co$t) then when you're done hop on the next hayride. They come around every 15min or so. Definitely a new family tradition. FYI if it has been rainy watch where you park Its MUDDY! Saw a mini van get pulled out by a tractor. -And Walt owner (driving the tractor) was a lot of fun great energy. read more

Went here to get pictures and have some fun with my kid. Went on the hayride and the kiddie tractor ride. The amount of dust that gets kicked up and blown in your face is absolutely horrific. The guy driving asked how it was and I told him it was awful, he said they had watered the ground the day before. That ground needs watered multiple times daily at minimum. Half the sling shots were broken as well. Had to leave immediately to wash my sons eyes out when I called later to ask if they could refund my card the girl said she was too busy to take my name down but I could come talk to Walt ( the owner I presume ) and he'd refund me. So now I have to drive across town again to get the refund. The way that girl on the phone talked to me was the icing on the cake. And is what has me leaving this review. The Strangest Thing Haunted Farm event is a rip off. They advertise as if each maze has a theme but they do not. Plus, each maze is no longer than a 10 second walk. It takes you longer to walk from maze to maze than actually being inside the maze. read more

Whoever gave one star because they arrived at closing time and were turned away is not doing much of a service to anyone. What does that punitive review tell anyone that they really need (or want) to hear about the business' value to consumers, except that someone is upset with possibly one produce stand worker who needed to get out of there in a hurry at closing on one particular day? What does that tell me about what they sell and if it will benefit me or if it is any good? We went for the first time today on the recommendation of a Down to Earth employee that had previously worked at Johnson Farms. The 'store' (more like a barn on a farm) had a lot of produce, as one would expect. It wasn't clear to me that *everything* there was grown on the farm, while obviously much (or most) of it was. Apparently it has been local produce market for many decades, serving the local community. They had cherries in mid-June that were surprisingly good. I'm not sure where they came from, but were better than I can get even during much of the Summer in Eugene stores. The farm is definitely worth a visit if you're out near the Gateway Mall, as they're only about a mile or so away, and then you'll have a lot of healthy fruits and vegetables at your table. They have some sweet snacks there as well. And another plus is your children will probably enjoy seeing the goats and chickens. read more

Wild Walt has serious anger issues. He accused us of trying to get our hayride for free ( even tho it says to pay after your ride) and then got in a shouting match with my boyfriend .... with little kids around. Not cool. read more

Took our grandson here yesterday, and what a blast it was! We all loved it - the hay maze, the pumpkin slingshots, and the hayride where you get to throw pumpkins at scarecrow targets as you ride. The man who gave us the ride made it such great fun! Afterwards we visited the stand and bought some yummy veggies, fruit, and blueberry jam they've made from their own berries. Oh, and some chocolates to satisfy our Halloween sweet tooth. It was just a terrifict time. Very much recommended! (P.S. This is great for kids, but I saw adults riding without kids, and they were having just as much fun!) read more

Love this farm. They actually grow their food the healthy way....like real farmers. They have incredible pumpkins and the best crazy tractor ride to the pumpkin patch in the county!! If you love throwing mini pumpkins at targets while trying to hang on the way to a beautiful pumpkin patch...this place is for your family!! Hands down best pumpkin patch tractor rides in the area, and I have been on them all. It's a smaller farm so they don't have as large of selection of produce (compared to other farms in the area) but it's mostly all grown there and has always tasted delicious. I love this farm because it offers a genuine, authentic farm atmosphere and experience. read more
