My husband and i in the "great pumpkin" patch as we dubbed it
    Bonnie B.

We went here a few weeks back and had a total blast! Had fun shooting pumpkins, and getting lost in a corn maze, and then acquired a 68lb pumpkin which im going to carve in two days! Will definitely be back next year!

Loading up on some AMMO while in line for the Wild Hayride

This place was a lot of fun. We took our 4 kids ages 8-14 and they LOVED it. $6 Wild hayride where you throw small pumpkins at Scarecrows on the way to the Pumpkin patch. They drop you off there so you can pick a pumpkin at 30cents a lbs. We got 3 pumpkins for just under $10. After (or before) you pick a pumpkin if you choose or walk around the field you can launch small pumpkins at targets with giant slingshots (at no co$t) then when you're done hop on the next hayride. They come around every 15min or so. Definitely a new family tradition. FYI if it has been rainy watch where you park Its MUDDY! Saw a mini van get pulled out by a tractor. -And Walt owner (driving the tractor) was a lot of fun great energy.

Lots of activities for families paid and free! The best hayride in Eugene. Parking is easy too.

I really enjoyed this farm. The hayride was so much fun, the man driving the tracker was the best!

There are goats to love, face painting, a hay maze, the classic corn maze and the pumpkin slingshots are hard to walk away from.

ME & Moore Farm's pumpkin patch is now open (since yesterday, normally they do not open on Sundays…read morebut did for this special day). My husband and I decided to make a stop by this smally family owned farm, hoping to see pumpkins and purchase some vegetables and fruits. Unfortunately this farm is not dog friendly so our little girl stayed in the car (please note that the temperature was cold and had lightly rained earlier so she was not overheated while she waited a short time for us). We walked inside the open air store and ended up purchasing 2 Empire apples and one zucchini. We haven't had the chance to cook the zucchini yet (will do so tomorrow once we arrive at our AirBnB that has a kitchen) but we ate the apples and they were nice and crisp. The skin of the apple was thick but was good. Loved the color of this apple and the creaminess of the inside. Service was generally friendly and quick (but we were not acknowledged when we first came in, as the 2 employees were having a conversation between themselves, with the backs turned). The unisex restroom that I used was clean and adequately stocked with the essentials. Overall, had a nice experience and would consider coming back if I lived in the area.

It's mid December and this oasis of fresh fruit and vegetables will soon close for the winter. Their wide selection of corn is prize winning. And this family owned farm brings you happiness that even the Waltons would envy. See ya in the Spring.

The variety they planted is Albion, they are huge, pithy inside and despite the farm staff saying they are sweet it is not accurate. They are not juicy or sweet and do not fully ripen on the inside. We picked only fully red fruit and tired to pick all sizes, most were HUGE. Picking the fruits was pretty easy but you did have to spend time looking, plants were not "loaded" with ripe fruit. We pick strawberries for eating fresh and freezing for winter use on cereals. We do not use them for jam, desserts or other dishes where sweetener is added. They may work really well for those purposes. The farm is located in a lovely setting and grows a variety of produce, also available at their stand at the Lane Co Farmers Mkt in Eugene. We can't speak for the other produce. the 3-star score is only for the strawberries. We are veteran u-pick folks in the Eugene area. In our long years of experience this strawberry is underwhelming even if it is organic. Other local farms may not be certified organic, you can always ask the farmer about their practices. We have learned that some use IPM and use organic fertilizer or herbicides very sparingly. The varieties are smaller and much tastier.
