Dessert coffees, to salads, and sandwiches. And if you are looking for healthy options like we were, there are none available. Not even light salad dressing. But that's OK, it was still very good and we enjoyed it. Also, I am not quite sure why these great little coffee shops insist on hiring sassy teenagers or young adults, but this shop was no exception. It's not that they're mean or are trying to be overtly rude, they just kind of act, annoyed that they are having to do something and aren't incredibly helpful if you have any questions about the food. My salad was good, but small. It was flavorful and as I mentioned they had no light options as far as other dressings. My wife's salad was not great at all. The chicken was sparse and very tough. It was about 1/4 of a a chicken breast. Mine was about 1/3 of a chicken breast. But again, other than the protein was flavorful. The only other negative was that we had to wait almost 25 minutes for our two salads to be prepared. the outside seating was nice, it seems to be a newly renovated building and was very simple but pretty one very very clean. It is a wonderful alternative to the "big box Amish buffet."

They run out of pies throughout the day because they're not serving old pie here, but they're good and lots to choose from. Service = Very friendly. Sometimes a guy has questions, like "Why is there a log of cheese with my soup?" (even though it's awesome). But they answer in a friendly way. Restaurant = This place is busy, you will likely wait. They close at 3pm, took our names at 2pm, and said it would be a 45 minute wait (which it was) but we didn't feel rushed once we were seated even though it was close to closing time. Our server was extremely friendly and great! Foodwise, we ordered the veggie quiche with a side of the house tomato basil soup and the bistro burger (bacon added) with a side of their soup of the day, cheesy potato. They have a variety of specialty coffee drinks but I chose to order the lightly sweetened peach tea for something different. My husband really enjoyed his burger and said it was well seasoned. He enjoyed the potato soup also and only wished they had fries to enjoy with the burger. My tomato basil soup was tasty! The quiche needed seasoning...I had to add salt and pepper and hot sauce and it could have done without all the extra cheese sprinkled on top. It came with a slice of blueberry bread though which was nice! The peach tea was refreshing as a change but I'd go with coffee next time. All in all we'd eat there again for sure and would try one of their delectable-looking pastries next time too. Thank you for a nice lunch, Rebecca's Bistro!

The pot roast was melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the noodles tasted just like home. We topped it off with strawberry pie and strawberry shortcake. This is an old style diner with some counter seating and quite a few tables. They do not take names, so you just have to stand in line and wait your turn to be seated. This process was different for us but it went really well as we had probably 3-4 small groups ahead of us but were seated within less than 10 minutes. The service was very timely but not overbearing. We had drinks and our order taken probably with 5 minutes of being seated which was very nice. We got our food within probably 10-12 minutes of ordering which I thought was really good given how busy it was. As for the food, it was all very good. I had the biscuits & gravy, scrambled eggs, hash browns and a sausage patty all of which was very good. The sausage is their own recipe which was a little less seasoned than most but it was a very good patty. My wife had her usual eggs over easy, bacon and toast and she liked it all. The bacon was a thicker cut applewood smoked which was tremendous (she let me try it). We may try it for lunch or dinner if/when in the area again. I would definitely recommend this for breakfast if you are in the area.

There is a shop right in the building and there is also a shop right outside of the restaurant if you need to kill time. Service was friendly but a bit scattered. There were times during my meal that my water was refilled without asking, but then later in the meal we had to hunt our server down for a water refill and for our check. The breakfast buffet has a nice variety of options. Bacon, two types of sausage, scrambled eggs, an egg scramble with peppers and onions, Amish cornmeal mush (it was served in fried cubes similar to hash brown consistency, biscuits and gravy and several dessert options. The apple crisp was warm and delicious. there was a frozen pineapple and banana desert that had too much banana flavor for my taste, but mu husband really enjoyed it. They also had fresh fruit and individual yogurts. Overall, we enjoyed our experience and food. It is a perfect place for a tasty meal of comfort food. But the size and pace of it made it feel less homemade and cozy and more corporate and rushed.

During our visit yesterday, all of the hot buffet items were cold with the exception of the broasted chicken which was good, however it ran out for about 15 minutes as it was popular since again all the other hot entrees were cold. Additionally at least three of the buffet plates had residual food after washing. Our server was nice and attentive, however the cost wasn't worth it, given the food was cold. It's been at least a decade since I was last there and now I remember why. We should have just driven the extra 15 minutes to Walnut Creek.
