We tried the classic Lobster Roll and the "Ultimate" Dog. The Ultimate Dog is a mix of lobster, crab and shrimp on split toasted bun. Both were LOADED and the quality of the seafood was a-ok. I think I preferred the classic lobster roll versus the seafood mix in the Ultimate Dog, but it was interesting to switch things up (and also saved $2 lol). Overall, I found the price to be pretty reasonable for the lobster rolls, especially since they're in a food truck. Food trucks tend to hike the prices for some reason so $19.50 seemed pretty fair. If I saw Lobster Dogs again, I may have to pick up another roll, or possibly try one of the stuffed avocados next.

We parked next door at the gas station and walked to the park. There was no parking fee or entrance fee. We made it there about 9 and there were about 5 vendors and many tables to sit and enjoy your food. There was also music playing. Slutty vegan seemed to be the only vendor with a line. When I'm talking line, I'm talking L-I-N-E!!!! As we were waiting, we ended up getting a spiked lemonade from one of the vendors and it wasn't spiked much. Lol After standing in line for 2 hours we're getting closer to the front, and then we hear "We're sold out."

Atlanta is better off for having food trucks (and this park, specifically). Despite the cloudy, on-and-off drizzly weather, the park had a good turnout of patrons between 7-9pm on a Thursday night. Thanks to those who braved the elements for our UYE (http://www.yelp.com/events/atlanta-atlanta-food-truck-park-uye). The food truck/food stand lineup was pretty good: Sweet Auburn BBQ Corn-a-Cue One Love Jerk Grill Metro City Dogs Lemonade Stand WOW! Food Truck Ibiza Bites Chay J's New Orleans Candies Rouxd Food Truck King of Pops Yum Yum Cupcake Verizon also had a stand. I've been following the park's official calendar (http://www.atlantafoodtruckpark.com/calendar/) over the past month and noticed Thursday nights are the ideal weeknight (excluding Fridays) to go for the most trucks and the best selection. I suspect there might have been more trucks last night if it wasn't for the weather. I ended up trying a little bit of everything: Arepas (Venezuelan sliders) from WOW! Food Truck Beef brisket with Asian pear slaw taco from Sweet Auburn BBQ Goat cheese-stuffed fried green tomatoes from Ibiza Bites Creole pretzels and Creole popcorn from Chay J's I'll be posting reviews for each of those trucks in the next few days. If you come for dinner, I recommend coming on the early side as the food trucks only have a limited supply of items and do sell out. This leads some trucks to close early. I saw many menus with marked off items that had sold out for the day. Yum Yum Cupcakes shut down early because they sold out of their cupcakes for the day. I was pleasantly surprised to see how much seating the park had. I counted 16 large picnic tables in the main "dining" area, most with umbrellas. Each picnic table can seat up to about 8 people each. The picnic tables are located on a flat, paved surface. The food trucks are located in a large gravel lot. This lot has 4 communal standing tables and 2 additional picnic tables. So overall, this spot has quite a bit of seating, which is convenient. Also, plenty of trash cans and recycling bins to keep the grounds looking relatively clean. The park is family and dog-friendly. It can be a little loud because you're around all these big trucks and next to busy Howell Mill Rd. You can BYOB, so save money by bringing your own drinks. If you want water, I saw some trucks selling it for $1 per bottle. There is one restroom and it's a "Johnny on the Spot" porta-potty in the parking lot with portable sink outside so you can wash your hands. There is ample free parking behind the park. The parking lot is old and filled with pot holes, so drive carefully. I saw someone puncture their car's tire by running over a broken-off metal sign post on the ground (she was trying to make too tight of a turn around the dining area). Note that every Wednesday and Friday night throughout the summer, the park will be playing movies for free. Also, from time to time, there is live music. On the weekends, there's a food market with rotating vendors and an artists market coming soon. Overall, I'm very happy with the Atlanta Food Truck Park and definitely plan on returning.

Chef Tee arrived around 9am and made over 50 meals for the entire staff. We made a Signature Aviation collab menu with Don't get lost n' the sauce. Not only was the food prepared fresh, but in a timely manner. I had the pleasure of trying the Salmon Philly paired with the Wild Berry Lemonade. 10 out of 10. Highly recommended. The food was absolutely delicious and my company will be booking his food truck again for future events.

Grilldabeast is, I assume, a play on the word wildebeest. I asked one of the owners what theme his food truck has and he explained to me it's street food favorites "with a twist." I believe it's a fairly new addition to the ATL food truck scene. No more than a month or two old. The small truck is painted all black. The menu consisted of an Avocado BLT, Chicken Shawarma, Peachy Pork (pork loin BBQ sandwich), and Smoke-Fried Wings (mango Thai chili glaze, avocado ranch). Sides included a Panko Avocado basket, Smoked Tomato Dill Hummus, Chips, and Slaw. Mains were about $7-8 each and sides $5 and less. Drinks (mint iced tea and bottled water) were $2. I tried the Chicken Shawarma ($8) plus a mint iced tea ($2). Shawarmas are Middle Eastern sandwiches or wraps that contain meat, typically off of a spit, along with a variety of garnishes such as tabbouleh salad, tomatoes, cumcumbers, etc. Grillabeast's Chicken Shawarma is huge. It's served open-faced, so it's kind of like eating a giant soft taco. The Chicken Shawarma contains pieces of marinated char-grilled chicken breast, tzatziki (Greek yogurt sauce), Mediterranean salsa (tomatoes, cucumber), lettuce, and feta cheese all inside pita bread. Overall, not bad. It was certainly filling and the ingredients were fresh enough. If anything, I thought the wrap could have used more tzatziki sauce because I love that stuff -- it's minty and refreshing, but I can see why they don't add more sauce as the wrap would get quite messy to eat. The shawarma came with a side of house-made chips, also not bad. They were thin and more on the soft rather than crispy side. Mint iced tea was pretty simple. Not much sugar added if any. $2 for one Styrofoam cupful may be asking a tad too much, but whatever. Staff was very nice and my food, which was made-to-order, came out fast. Credit cards are accepted, though I'm not sure if there's a minimum.

My sis and I decided to split the loaded curly fries; Grilldabeast was our appetizer truck before we got down and dirty noshing on tacos, burritos, Jamaican jerk chicken, creole pretzels and popcorn, and custard. If my memory services me correctly, the fries were $5 and they were the perfect thing to get our food coma on and popping. Imagine: piping hot seasoned curly fries, ladened with fresh crispy bacon, and thick cheese sauce. I mean, can you REALLY go wrong with cheese, curly fries, and BACON? No, my dear Yelper, you cannot. Service was on point, food was fresh and made to order. We received our fries within 5-8 minutes.
