Meat pie- bench seating outside

Best Jamaican food including in Jamaica. As did travel and very selective eater, I make this proclamation with 100% confidence. Chef Andrew is so personable and cares deeply about using natural ingredients, high-quality foods and absolutely maintains high standards for his food and staff. Miss D. who is the point of contact has a great smile, is very patient while trying to decide between the many options and makes great recommendations. Today I had the opportunity to Chef Andrew in person, his philosophy about natural foods being a catalyst for healing and good health was in line with mine and so refreshing and reassuring in my quest for the cleanest eating possible. His way of making a ginger sauce for both natural house-made juices as well as for his food is so interesting- ask him! He also shared with my friend and me a look at the water based all natural vegetable and herb secret concoction in which he soaks his jerk meats for days. This explains the amazing flavor and juicy tenderness despite the meat being smoked with fresh wood plants. Chef grinds his own spices and exclusively uses fresh herbs which natural, flavorful food. Some vegetarian options include side, spinach and veggie patties. meat free collards, cabbage, rice and peas, candy, jams, and amazing mac & cheese. Another highlight is housemaid healing juices that have interesting combinations, including ginger, Celle, cucumber, lime, and mango. Lightly sweetened with real cane sugar, these drinks are both refreshing and good for immunity and inflammation. The only drawback is that seating is very limited so is mostly a takeout spot. That said, there are two nice benches in the courtyard in front of the space and a wall counter that is kind of fun to hang out and chat with other patrons. Please support a family owned business in the emerging Riverside neighborhood. Very close to Vinings, West Midtown, West and Central Buckhead, and not far off of three exits from 285, chef Andrews restaurant is worth the drive. THE PORTIONS ARE AMPLE, AND THE PRICE IS VERY REASONABLE. THE MENU INCLUDES OXTAILS, CHICKEN, goat, RIBS, AND FISH. Preparations include curried, jerk, fried and Caribbean. Many of the items are gluten-free because they are prepared without mixes or premade sauces. This is a great option for groups with varied dietary needs. Thank you Chef Andrew and staff! CHEERS

Curry chicken, macNcheese and collards...

Curry chicken was delicious and literally fell off the bone. Huge portion, should've been enough for lunch and dinner, but I ate it all!

I ordered the brown stew chicken with rice and peas with a side of collard greens. Everything was so good! The greens were on the sweeter side, which I thoroughly enjoyed. I'm so glad we have a good quality Jamaican spot on this side of town.

A new favorite of mine!…read more I was in the neighborhood running an errand and needed a pick-me-up to start my day. I contemplated grabbing an energy drink or coffee, but when I realized that I was just steps away from Kwench. Figuring that a fresh juice or smoothie would be a much better, (and healthier!) choice. Kwench is located in a small plaza that also includes a Goodwill, Kroger and a few other shops. The parking lot isn't huge, but there's always a free spot to grab. Kwench stands out with their green interior walls and colorful signs adorned with pictures of fresh fruits, it's difficult to walk past. When I walked in, the store was empty besides a guy behind the counter that I believe to be the owner. There were a number of tables and chairs, signs that explain the healthy elements to the produce available for guest orders and healthy videos playing on the mounted tv. Very chill, very colorful! The gentleman behind the counter was kind and attentive, and in such a great mood, it lifted my own spirits! The menu is filled with raw smoothie, juices and even acai bowls. I opted for the 'old fashioned' smoothie and, WHEW. It was soooo good, so refreshing! My smoothie was prepared right in front of me and ready in minutes, it was such a delicious, healthy start to my day. I can't wait to go back!

A little bit of spice and sweetness. Do yourself a favor and get it on sourdough. The pimento cheese can make it a little messy but I love that. It was so good I came back a few days later and brought the husband for a second try... he confirmed that it was, indeed, delicious. Our hibiscus tea and cold brew didn't wow us but it certainly did the job. The interior is eclectic, clean and organized. There is a water station that comes in handy. You're encouraged to bus your own table but staff will come around if needed. Staff interactions were very pleasant. The Daily sets a nice standard for coffee/brunch spots.

I ordered a small iced decaf latte with oat milk and a protein bowl, but I substituted the tahini dressing for the lemon vin. We were given a table number and our order was brought to our table. We snagged one of the two-seaters next to the bar seating. I love that a sign was on the table for active dining use only, so if you wanted to telework, the bar seating is available. I enjoyed the latte very much. Our food took a few minutes to arrive, and personally, it didn't really need the sauce. I was kind of underwhelmed when it first arrived, but it left me feeling full and not overly stuffed. I did find pricing to be on a higher end. I think two coffees and two bowls plus tip was around $50. Overall, a good option for delicious food though!

I was in the mood for a quick lunch but wanted to stay on the "healthier" side if I could. When I…read moresaw that Kale Me Crazy was nearby the area I was in, I thought it'd be a perfect day to finally check them out. Although I've passed many locations, I've never ventured in for some reason. Well, that day finally came! This Smyrna store is located in a quiet plaza where there always seems to be a parking space available up front. This visit was no different. When I walked in, I was surprised that I was the only customer. I was even wondering if there were even any employees in there for a minute until someone came from the back with a warm greeting. I hate that I didn't take note of the gentleman's name, but he was very welcoming. He let me know that he had just started in his role, but when I asked for recommendations, he was happy to share his favorites and what he's seen other guests order. I ended up going with the poké bowl with extra spicy vegan mayo and a watermelon juice. The watermelon juice was exactly that. I should have gone for a green juice but it was aight, lol. The poke bowl was delicious! I wish the bowl itself was bigger because the portion was great, but I could have used more space to shake it all up. Every topping was fresh, plentiful and merged together perfectly. I could have gone for a dash of sriracha as well! My only complaint? The prices! Phew. The bowl was totally worth it but the juice was a littttle steep. Next time I'll splurge on a smoothie instead.
