So I can only speak on my experience as a guest here for a wedding. The venue is beautiful both inside and out. Lush green gardens, and a nice inside with exposed beams and classic wood flooring make for a simple and rustic venue. There's a porch area complete with bench seating and ceiling fans with lighting that are great for a summer or spring day that fades into a lovely sunset for an evening of fun. Ample street parking is available for guests. My only gripe would be the occasional roar of traffic or passing semi trucks on the nearby interstate during an intimate outdoor ceremony. However, its not enough to dock this place a full star. Although I didn't get to see it I do know that there is an upstairs room available as well. Great venue all around. read more

I was here for a wedding and reception back in October. The ceremony took place out on the back patio due to rain forecast. That was a bummer, because it was long and narrow which made it hard to see and hear the couple's vows. From what I know, you're just renting the space. It's up to you to hire outside caterers for food, and seating. That can be an advantage if you want your out of town guest to experience Nashville hot chicken bites! Parking on the street in this part of town is super easy, and it's close by downtown to carry the event into the late night hours. (I think they have a noise ordinance since it is near single family homes). The venue is a great 1800s era Victorian home that suited the bride and groom's taste perfectly. read more

We searched all over Nashville for the perfect venue for a rehearsal dinner, and The Cordelle is by far better than anywhere else in the city. Surprisingly affordable and with the nicest staff you could ever imagine, you would be making a huge mistake to choose to have your event whether it be a rehearsal dinner, wedding reception, cocktail party--you name it, anywhere else in Nashville. Here are a few reasons why: Aesthetic: White walls with deep, rich wooden floors and a perfectly tasteful amount of exposed brick--if you are looking for an effortlessly elegant location that will keep all of your guests comfortable, this is the place. Versatility: The lawn and deck are great for outdoor events. Our evening started on their large wooden deck in the perfectly groomed backyard. We had a jazz band playing acoustic on a perfect night and enjoyed an hour and a half of sipping cocktails with our best friends. If you need a breather from the crowd, their upstairs private rooms for the wedding party or groom (me at that time) are perfect and ridiculously comfortable. Staff: Our rehearsal dinner was the first official event ever to be held at the Cordelle, and Leigh & Nealy could not have been more relaxed ahead of time or more hospitable before, during, and after the event. If you've done your research, you know that this is rare! Best owners/staff at any venue in Nashville! Location: Just a few blocks from downtown, our friends all headed out after the rehearsal dinner to have a blast in the downtown area...and, they walked! Value: Every event has some sort of a budget, and ours was no exception. We researched pretty much every venue in Nashville, and all other locations paled in comparison to The Cordelle. A friend of my lady had her wedding here on a Saturday evening, which stretched into the night. It is a remarkable venue, although there are a scant few cons to accompany the numerous pros. It is a beautiful facility from the perspective of standing on the sidewalk or driving by in a vehicle. This impression is strengthened when you are in the courtyard or enter the building. It is a refined and rustic space that is elegant in a way that modern materials and construction methods can't convey. The exposed brickwork, the woodwork, and floors in the front of the structure transition to thoroughly contemporary in the great hall in the rear. A service hallway behind where the band was situated was accessed from either side of the main space, and holds the bathrooms and service areas. The bathrooms were very nice and clean. Or, at least, the men's room was...I didn't go into the lady's room. Lots of large and tall windows provide natural lighting. The capacious side porch was where the food was staged, accessible via two stairways from the courtyard, an ADA ramp, and four different doors from the interior spaces. Last night, there was a nice breeze that made outside on the porch more comfortable than the inside. On the con side, there are no sound-absorbing surfaces, so it is pretty echoey [whatever, Yelp editor...that's a real word!]. The music sounded great, but there wasn't anywhere to seek respite and have an easy conversation. Too, the proximity to the Interstate (might not be an Interstate road bordering the back of the property, but it was a very busy road) meant an almost overwhelming ambient white noise that drowned out a lot of the ceremony. Overall, an easy five stars. I've been at fancier weddings (not mine), but none as enjoyable. The Cordelle is a great venue for anything that has meaning and value. Consider this place if you live here and want a memorable experience. read more

Five. Bright. Stars. Rutledge Hill is on its way to being one of Nashville's most sought out addresses, and helping lead the way is this amazing new party and music venue. The exterior is an original, handsome, neoclassic architecture while the interior is crisp, open and modern. The massive side porch and garden are a blend of the classic and contemporary style, tying it all together perfectly. As a caterer, I have worked several events here. The floor plan creates an efficient and comfortable flow for party guests and service staff, yet is very versatile with the ability to accommodate seemingly countless floor plans. However, the best asset to this venue are the ladies who own and run it. They built, redesigned, scrubbed, painted (and I'm sure even shed some blood, sweat and tears) to get it to this point. They are passionate about their building, but they are even more passionate about ensuring the folks in their building, no matter what special moment they may be celebrating, are having the time of their lives. read more

I was able to attend a movie screening here one night during the week. The place is beautiful, a refurbished home with beautiful woodwork. The event had valet parking, which was nice because they don't have a parking lot, only street parking. Luckily, there isn't a lot of other businesses around the area, so street parking isn't a huge issue. The space reminds me of The Bell Tower, but on a smaller scale with a garden. There is a large area downstairs, with an upstairs loft. There is also a patio that is connected off the side of the building. Next to the patio is a garden that looks perfect to have a wedding in. Their website has some great pictures of how they use the space. They even have different 'add-on' items you can get for when you have an event, albeit some are pretty pricey. read more

Another fabulous place to hold parties... No more stark buildings..windowless buildings. Came to this house/venue last week for a private party.. Met one of the owners who told me how she and partner acquired the house, and rehabbed it from the ground up. And what a place they created! Rooms, floors, chandeliers, beautiful bathrooms.. Every single inch of the house has been refurbished to great opulence. Valet parking in front, up against the freeway, which you can't hear.. We had 60 people in our party and it didn't feel crowded at all. Absolutely gorgeous, high class, NEW... Looked like something right out of House and Garden Magazine. And they have a great staff that moves smoothly through the crowd. I can't say enough things about this setup. The girls had a dream and this is what they came up with... You must book it for your next party or concert. I have a feeling they are already booked for the holidays! We needed something like this, in town.. and what a great location. Overlooks downtown and catches the sunset in the evening. read more

Our wedding at the Cordelle was unforgettable. The venue speaks for itself, and the management has done a wonderful job of creating a sublime event space in the middle of the city. We found this venue to be a way to pick and choose how much money to spend on each aspect of the day, and we were able to save money on certain areas that might be predetermined at other venues. The 2 included beautiful bars were a definite benefit. The whole venue fit the aesthetic we wanted, and our guests loved it. Thank you Cordelle! read more

The venue is beautiful. It is downtown with easy parking. You can expect road noise and the occasional airliner landing at the Nashville airport - but not so loud as to take away from the surroundings. If you're looking for a space in Nashville that can hold around 100-150 people and is beautiful all by itself, this place is it. I only have two complaints: It is my understanding that the staff of The Cordelle tended to hover during the event and nit pick every thing happening. I completely understand the strict rules as to preserve the quality of their event space but I'm not sure that their approach was best. I attended a wedding on the lawn and the guests were covered in mosquito bites by the end of the ceremony. A little bit of forethought during lawn care would have worked wonders for this situation. read more

I can't say enough about The Cordelle! We had our ceremony & reception here in May and the whole entire day was flawless. The staff was very upfront with their house rules so our parameters were clear throughout our planning process. We spent the entire day up in the perfectly designed loft space that had everything we needed for a day of pampering! The staff made themselves available throughout the day without being overbearing. My niece's wedding was there this past weekend and it was the best wedding ever. Of course the bride, groom and the bride's parents planned it all but the facility and the coordinator made it even better. What a gorgeous place the have a wedding. Top of my recommendations. read more

OMG....my coworker had a birthday party here and it was beautiful and very intimate it was an all white affair and it just blended in with the decor which is beautiful inside and out everything was to her satisfaction she walked in looking like a princess and everyone made it especially about her all the staff were very professional and friendly This is a beautiful event space for any occasion I would recommend it to any one. read more

The Cordelle was the PERFECT venue. Searching for a space remotely to have a cocktail event from LA was difficult, but Leigh, Chandra & Nealy were wonderful to work with. The Cordelle is absolutely spectacular - even better in person than in the photos. Truly a unique, beautiful, warm, well maintained spot to host any event. I would love to use The Cordelle again sometime soon. Highly recommend checking out what I'm sure is the most exciting addition to Nashville's event space options in the past few years. We hosted a rehearsal dinner at the Cordell in October and it was a wonderful experience. The venue has a side garden, covered porch and a large room that accommodated about 125 guests for a seated dinner. It can accommodate more but the porch area did get crowded during the cocktail hour due to having the main doors closed while the caterer set up the salads. The main room requires some lighting and a flowers but whatever you chose to decorate it shows up beautiful due to the rustic wood flooring and architectural simplicity. The venue could accommodate a wedding and reception. We chose to have the rehearsal dinner and the coordinator, florist and caterer all made the evening a perfect one. All places we looked at were expensive, (it is an expensive party to host) but we settled on the Cordelle and were happy with the ambiance and setting. The coordinator helped to organize the details and gave us a comforting perspective when my anxiety level ascended. It is located close to downtown and everyone was enchanted with the location. People who were familiar with Nashville or lived there were newly acquainted with this venue and very complementary of the locale. Great place for a party. read more
