We did a wedding weekend, so my grandparents, parents, and our entire bridal party were able to stay at the venue the entire weekend which made it really special. The staff at Cherokee Dock were awesome. We were able to call or email whenever we needed something, and Kelly and all of the staff were so knowledgeable about the venue and the wedding industry. They were super kind and flexible and helped with whatever we needed. They are definitely pros in the wedding industry! All my vendors also loved working with the Cherokee Dock staff. It rained on our wedding day, but The Estate at Cherokee Dock has a built-in rain plan that made the day so much less stressful. They also have so many beautiful ceremony spots, a great catering kitchen that all of our caterers loved. The pictures came out amazing, too! There were so many great photo spots like on the swing by the Cumberland River and on the dock! This weekend was the best weekend of my life and I could not recommend having your wedding at The Estate At Cherokee Dock more. Our family and guests have not stopped talking about how amazing this wedding was, many of them told us it the best wedding they have ever been to! Cherokee Dock is an open vendor venue, so we could have the wedding planners and vendors we wanted. This was extremely helpful for picking our bartender as there were no additional fees that had to do with alcohol like most venues. Seriously if you are thinking about having your wedding here, do!! All of her friends came from everywhere and we were all able to stay at the mansion together for several days. The mansion is beautiful, extremely well kept and quite modern. The views from every window are gorgeous views of the river. My daughter loved it so much that she wanted to get married there.... Fast Forward to this weekend: The wedding was more than anything any of us expected. Every detail was thought of. There wasn't a leaf by the pool. There wasn't a weed anywhere to be found. We used the pool, hot tub, pool bar, arcade, movie theater...... and the list is never ending.... Kevin, Anika and the entire Staff are like family to their guests. All of our family and guests kept commenting on how beautiful and unique the space was. We had draping/extra lighting put up on the columns in the atrium and it was very soft and romantic. They have done away with the required vendors but keep a list of preferred vendors that they recommend and have a good reputation with; we ended up using a few on their list and had fantastic experiences with everyone they suggested. Laura was our contact, and she was amazing. She was super responsive to our emails for planning, very accommodating to our busy schedules and many requests, and an overall great person to work with. She made the extra furniture rentals (upgraded chairs, extra tables) a breeze, and gave us plenty of time to rehearse the day before.

Called and left a message about price and availability in the RV Park, no response. Called a few days later and the call was answered but the person who answered did not know the answers to the questions. They did call back the next day and told us they had a spot, we reserved it because we needed to be in the area. The price, which I will not disclose, could pay our rent for a month and a half in some other places, yet we needed just 2 weeks. 2. Received a payment receipt with a lot number and nothing else, no instructions of where to go, how to park or anything. 3. Shortly before arrival I call for parking instructions. The woman apologized and said she is working a wedding and cannot guide us. Her instructions were semi correct and as she changed from left to right turns a couple times, it was confusing. We get there and get to the "rv park" in the back of the property, and unsure of right or left turn, we turned right as we saw larger rigs to the right. Our lot was not there and neither was a way to the other sites. We had to unhook, back up and go to the other side of the fence. Long story short, we did get parked after asking another resident to move a car and us clearing dog poop out of our site. As stated before, we needed to be in the area for 2 weeks and this was the closest, albeit very expensive, option. The "park" has mostly permanent residents, the "park" is very unkempt, has dog poop everywhere, and there is no directional signage. Our site was near the maintenance shed and the dumpster, so it was very loud and busy with vehicles. They don't even tell you there is a restaurant or shower facility onsite. The maintenance persons allowed young people to drive the John Deere mini truck thing round and round through the rv sites kicking up dust and rocks as they went. I was going to call and complain but my husband convinced me it wouldn't do any good. This property has the potential to be a fabulous RV Resort and destination location, well worth what they charge, but definitely not in it's current condition. I would not recommend this "RV Park" unless you absolutely had to be in this area.
