Guests walk down the outdoor walkway past the welcome table, cross a little bridge to the ceremony island in the lake, come back to the porch, and then head inside the barn. The procession over the bridge felt dramatic in the best way. The built-in rain plan (a ceremony under the barn porch) meant no tent vendor and no extra cost. We didn't need it, but it was a big reason we booked. The barn is large, but with the dance floor under the chandelier it never felt empty. The porch, with soft seating and string lights, became the place for anyone who wanted a break from the loud music. The prop room let us pick centerpieces and decor a month out, which saved money and setup. The bridal suite is roomy. The groom's suite is much smaller, with one bathroom and one closet, so plan accordingly if a crowd is getting ready with you. There's plenty of parking, and guests used rideshares from Franklin and Cool Springs hotels without trouble. The alcohol buyout let us bring our own and keep the leftovers. Just bring your own mixers. Communication was clear and nothing fell through the cracks. If you pay by ACH or Zelle to avoid card fees, expect to split payments around transfer limits. Throughout the year, the Coliseum offers a schedule of events that are mostly free and give you a chance to watch beautiful horses at close range - http://www.mtsu.edu/tmc/schedule.php A couple of events - motorcycle cross tour, truck and tractor pull, etc. - do charge admission fees, but those are still affordable (under $20/person) and the vast majority of horse-related events are free. We visited this past weekend for the Volunteer Ranch Horse Show. The show ran all day Saturday and Sunday. If we had stayed for the whole show, it might have gotten a little repetitive, but it was a joy to be able to drop in for a couple of hours and observe some expert horsemanship. Tip - All those horses, motorcycles and tractors do stir up a fair amount of dirt. The building is coated in dust - literally up to the rafters. Not a deal-breaker, but you may want to leave your tuxedos and ball gowns at home.

This is no fault of ours and they are insisting we reschedule and that the prices after 2020 will be higher Every other vender has returned deposit and has been very understanding. Very disappointed with this establishment that they are keeping our money. It's upsetting enough that the wedding is not taking place and then to have to take legal action to get the deposit refunded. I would not recommend them to anyone. This is terrible customer service

We had to walk from a sheltered area 40-50 feet to a different structure in the pouring rain. They should've had umbrellas for the guests to use or have a some covered area between the buildings so we wouldn't get wet. Lines to get cocktails were 40-60 minutes in the sheltered area which you had to walk through the rain to get to. The venue is great if the weather cooperates.
