Very friendly staff. There is literally everything you would need here from high end cookware like Le Creuset to inexpensive measuring cups. There might be more higher end things but there are lots of gadgets. I went in looking for a pepper mill and although I didn't find one I liked, I will be back, especially when I need a gift item. They had all shape and sizes (and price ranges) for serving ware. The same with cake stands. Decent selection of specialty food gift items, too. I went in with the mind set to buy a wedding gift and I did. I made the mistake of not immediately leaving. I couldn't help it...There are SO many things to look at and touch. I doubled my bill by purchasing things for myself. You MUST visit this store. There are things here that I didn't even know existed. I didn't make it through everything because of time. As I write this, it's Thanksgiving time. I'm trying a new recipe this year and instead of a whole turkey, I am going to be preparing two turkey breasts. The recipe I am using called for cooking twine so that I could gather the turkey breasts into more of a round shape for the roasting process. I went to several other stores in search of said twine and could not find any. A quick Internet search for Cooking Supplies turned up the information for the Cook's Nook, so there I went. I wouldn't say it's a particularly large store inside, but I can tell you that it is packed left to right, top to bottom and front to back with every imaginable type of cooking device or accessory that you might be looking for. I could've spent half the day just perusing the isles looking at everything they had. And yes, they had the cooking twine that I was looking for. The store has an excellent selection of kitchenware, including quality high-end items. I've never seen any crappy, low-quality items in there. The downside is that the employees tend to follow customers around as if they were going to steal something. I don't like this at all. I suggest that management eliminate this uncomfortable human surveillance and instead install security cameras. read more

My wife and I just got married and my aunt from Seattle of all places looks for nice local businesses to shop at. And we got this gift card for Cooks Nook. I'm an avid cooking lover and when I went in it was like heaven. We got amazing baking sheets. New pans. I loved it. The cashiers were super friendly and always willing to help. It was a little on the pricey side, but it's worth it for cooking. We used a gift card, but we absolutely will be back for more. Amazingly relaxing and fun place to shop! read more

From the moment I walked into Cook's Nook, by experience was disappointing. The two people standing behind the counter treated me as if I was an interruption. I could have left a happy customer had they made good on a veggie chopper that didn't work as advertised. I gave them every opportunity, but they refused all my requests. Has everything, as far as I can tell. As a Midtowner we found this little shop by accident. They have products that I, as an avid cook, have never seen before -- like a cleaner for cast iron. I say little as the footprint is small, but every square inch is enticingly packed. Great selection of Corkcicle which is a good gift as are many, many other kitchen/chef/barbecue items. Barware, dishes, tools and utensils, soft goods, cookware, olive oils to try & buy, appliances, bakeware, knives of course, and measuring spoons galore. Nice selection of salt/pepper mills. I was impressed as I admit being let down by another diverse kitchen oriented store. Yes, it's high end. The owner has good taste. We dropped a lot of green, I admit. We indulged in a $50 olive oil vase. We liked it, and no wonder. The price sticker had been strategically placed over the vendor on the bottom. It was Vietri. It's beautiful and I love it. The staff and owner were quite helpful; answered questions, helped me open boxes for a look see, didn't push toward sales. Hubby asked about a product & the owner immediately checked on availability. This quite little gem of a place is a must for anybody needing that special item for the kitchen. We needed a oval bowl with specific dimensions to fit our air frier basket. They had them, the staff was really great in helping us. This store has a ton of great easy on the pocket book items. I'm truly glad we found this store, I see many future trips here. read more

The return policy is ridiculous, employees have the power to show a customer where things are and take a customer's money and that's about it. On the upside the store dose have a lot of inventory in a nice location. Just remember all sales are pretty much final sales. read more

This store is a home cook's mecca. When you walk in, you are greeted by flavored olive oils and balsamic vinegars. The employees (all of whom are very friendly and helpful) will ask if you want to try some. I recommend you take them up on the offer. I tried the unflavored vinegar, which is fantastic, and the raspberry. I ended up buying a bottle of the balsamic and garlic olive oil. Also, they have a refill program, you can bring your bottle back and get $2 off refills. Cook's Nook has gadgets and kitchen products galore. It has the Oxo brands and other standard items, but it also has great items that you maybe didn't even think you needed. Also, it probably has some items you didn't even know existed, but you don't want to live without once you see them. A lot of the items are more expensive than some lesser items would be at lesser stores. Cook's Nook's items are great quality and will last you a long time, so you should expect that they won't cost the same as other items at other stores. If you are a serious home cook, or even just a hobbyist, you'll find something at this store that you'll love. read more

I have been in this store many times and found several nice items. It's been a fun store to browse and explore with family and the employees have always been a pleasure to interact with. That being said I have found after my last few visits that the owner of the store has been pretentious and less than helpful. The first time it happened I thought everyone has a bad day now and then and excused the behavior. But I've discovered now that this is apparently her normal attitude towards me and my mother-in-law. GREAT PLACE TO KILL 15 MINUTES. I don't cook much. Yet this is one of my favorite shops to visit. I was there yesterday and-- not kidding-- thought, "I love giving this place money." It's certainly a unique spot. The staff is knowledgable and genuinely seems delighted to answer questions or give tours around the store. They hover over you like a used car salesman and then when you try to pick up and examine a product, they pounce and try to take it from you in order to "help you with that." I have bought 3 swell bottles from this store. The last swell bottle I bought the lid wouldn't go on as easy as the other two bottles I have. I went to the store to see if I could switch lids out, since I had tried my other two lids out and they worked great. I was told that nothing was wrong with it and I couldn't return it because " it was used". While I was in the store the clear o-ring came off in the bottle, while trying to show them how it wasn't working right. I use to love going to this store, until now. That was my last purchase from this store. I also just got off the phone with Swell and they are sending a replacement cap to me, now that it great customer service. read more

Purchased a spice grinder and the first time I used it large chunks of plastic came out with the somewhat ground spices. I returned the grinder to the store with my receipt and was told that I could not return it because it "had been used". I asked how I was supposed to know it didn't work properly if I didn't use it and was told that they could check with their rep but couldn't refund my money. VERY glad it was only a $19.99 spice grinder and not a $199.99 coffee maker! read more

Went there to purchase a turkey pan 3 minutes before they closed but was a quick run in and out. They locked the door and they knew we walking up and we knocked and they worded "sorry". Keep in mind in the past two years I have spent a lot of money there and it was really unfriendly to lock the door in our face. I will never shop there again!! read more
